UNIT IS A GOOD REPLACEMENT FOR MY TWO S16. THE PRICE WAS VERY RESONABLE TOO. WOULD RECOMMEND THIS PRODUCT FOR THE X32

Went to this after a fellow pastor friend of mine recommended i go full digital with the signal path . I am a creature of comfort like most of us . This many inputs and outputs coming and going through the ethercon cable is crazy. only thing was the gain staging changed completely as I was using the gain staging on the board with the analog snake but other than that it was an awesome transition to get this thing up and running. clean crisp sound with no discernable difference in sound quality from the preamps on the board at east not to my ears. Mine is a full install and i wont be moving it very much maybe only when i redo the church stage but that's it so i cant account for durability but i have many fiends that gig and tour with it and they do not have many problems with their stage boxes. Plus , i can stay in the same ecosystem and go the to the WING when i choose to and will not have a problem whatsoever.

Better to have more channels than not enough. The only difference with this and the last one I had is you need to have a converter for AUX to XLR. Really simple.

We are very happy with the new sound being experienced at our sanctuary. The technician was skillful and the sound is excellent.

Connecting mics & instruments very easy. Connecting to our X32 very easy. This is definitely a good choice.

A band I'm working with bought 2 S-16's in order to have one digital snake on each side of the stage. This year we opted to go with the one S-32 and it really seems to have simplified our set up. The Behringer S-32 is simple to hook up to your system and very user friendly. If you need more than 16 inputs I highly recommend going with the S-32 rather than 2 S-16's.

Dont buy this stage box power supply heats up and it causes a connection error with the board and i called behringer Im still uder warranty but behringer wont respond no good

This stage box is an amazing value, and I can't imagine owning an X32 without it. We use it for our gigs to connect to our X32 console in a case that also contains our wireless in ear monitors. This makes it so easy to setup the stage with monitors and the main outputs on the stage connected to the front of house console. Our drummer also likes a lot of flexibility in managing his own mix, so he has his own console connected up to the stage box to syphon off the inputs and create his own personalized mix. The rest of us use our phones and tablets to create the stereo in-ear mixes. Great value and quality from Behringer.

First of all, Sweetwater is amazing, helped me out of a last minute error on my part to get this thing installed. Anyway, did a church sound upgrade with this, in the span of a few hours completely obsoleted all the old stage wiring and snake, and provided one-to-one stage input/board channel/P16 IEM channel mapping. SO much easier, reliable, repeatable, and faster for Sunday morning sound crew. And cleaned up the clutter on the stage as well. Great piece of equipment, highly recommend. Here is a tech info tidbit: The Behringer S32 requires at least a shielded Cat5e or better ethernet cable unless it"s just a really short run. That means not only does the cable have to carry the shielding, but the connector can"t be the all-plastic variety. The RJ45 connector has to be metal to carry the ground signal. For this install, 150" to the stage didn"t work with an unshielded cable, but was just fine with a 10" unshielded one when we brought it up close. (By doesn"t work I mean the board and the stagebox don"t sync up. You can tell it doesn't work because there"s no "A" sync light on the Behringer X32 console, no green light on the S32, and the "Mute All" button on the S32 stays red.) Behringer X32 and S32 accept a Neutrik Ethercon locking connector, as well as an RJ45. I saw a side-by-side test on the net that shows the EtherCon is more robust in extremely noisy environments, especially where static discharge (running the cable over carpet for example) would occur. Peace of mind aside, my opinion is the EtherCon connector would be great if your rig was portable, but the shielded RJ45 should be adequate when you"re running cable through the ceiling to the stage. I went the peace of mind route however and got the shielded EtherCon cable.

Behringer stage boxes in general have two problems.

1) The XLR jacks will 'grab' and refuse to let go of some cables. You will end up needing to keep a small flatheaded screwdriver around just to release cables, and the process can sometimes take 20-30 minutes per cable.

2) If left on all the time, the heat from the power supply will bake a reference voltage supply, leading to the remote gain control failing. I don't know that this particular box suffers from this failing, but I have several of the 16 channel boxes that have failed this way. I'd say better safe than sorry - if you have this box, make sure you power it off when not in use.

We also just bought the S32 Stage Box to go with our set up. We have used a co-workers older Stage Boxes with his X32 and I must say this one is very nice. We love it. It makes life so easy for those distances where you need to run cables. One cable to rule them all, and in the darkness bind them...or something like that. Actually, one ethercon cable carries all your channels back to the board. If you've spent any time rolling cables, you understand that this is sweet. If you are looking at this, you likely understand the power of the X32. I can say from experience using this, it's worth it.
Highly recommend for use in various productions.

I decided to buy this for our church along with the x32 and in 3 months the a and b ports have gone bad twice.

I use the X32 in my recording studio and really wanted 32 outputs for mixing on my Soundcraft console. I added an S32 to give the second group of 16 outputs (from the card). Now I have an S32 and S16 hanging on my AES A bus and an X32r and S16 on my AES B bus, I'm only 16 inputs away from actually maxing out the 96 input ability of the X32.

The X32 universe really changed my studio. Now my drum room has an S16 for inputs, my keyboard room has an X32r and my speaker/reamp room has its own S16 for mic inputs. The digital networking works perfectly and I've never been happier with the sound I'm getting.

Music-group tech support is second to none. I needed some help setting up my network, I called M-G tech hotline, had a human on the phone in under 2-minutes, had my working solution in under 5-total minutes including dialing the phone and navigating through voice mail, pretty amazing from the company who has sold the most digital mixers of anyone.

The S32 is ridiculously easy to connect and use, provides identical inputs and outputs to the flagship X32 mixer in a 3U rack mount package. S W E E T ! ! !

Had some noise in my system. I finally decided it was in my 250 analog snake. Purchased this to direct connect with my X32 and eliminate my old snake. I was so easy and since I had already dropped an RJ45 cable for my some P16's, it was just plug and play. Also, I was then able to run the P16's directly from S32. No problem. The only struggle was to understand the X32 settings for running local and AES connections. This can easily be configured. The caveat is that groups are set rather than individual channels for this configuration. So, I had to move my inputs around to make it work. By the way, the noise is gone now and I'm very happy with the new set up

In short. Light, Versatile, Value-packed Digital Snake System.
