Very good spring!
I don't have a lot of experience with Bigsby-style vibratos, but I have played a few. Typically when I go to a store and try a Gretsch or something, the Bigsby will be very stiff. The guitar that I bought this for (DeArmond M75T) had a missing spring, and this fits great. It's super smooth to use.
Came for the marketing, stayed for the soft touch
I gave in to the marketing. Soft touch spring? That sounds nice. Once I clicked order I cursed myself for wasting money on something I didnt need. And while I still dont need it, these springs do exactly what they say. The stock spring on my bigsby equipped schecter was fine, but this is just smoother. Hard to describe exactly, because I was worried I'd have to redo my setup with a spring with a different tension. It didnt alter the setup, and it does just feel straight up softer. I like mine, and you probably will too.
Very nice spring
I bought this spring to put in my Bigsby B5F kit. It works great. Tuning is pretty solid, and it's much more sensitive than the spring Bigsby included. Does what I need it to.
I get these for all my bigsby's they just work nicer
Awesome spring, still firm enough but softer, less stiff.
Exchanged my stock spring for a Reverend spring
I changed all the stock springs in my electromatics they were too stiff, w/bigsbys the Reverend spring Also the vibramate for easier string changes is a necessity. These are availible at Sweetwater now.Just a lesson I've continued to learn about Gretsch Guitars
I thought I didn't like Bigsbys.
The stock spring on my Gibson Midtown's Bigsby felt stiff and placed the arm too close to the guitar. For years I avoiding using the vibrato and often wished I got the model without it installed. So glad I experimented with Reverend's spring. Never had $ make such a positive impact on an instrument. So much more musical now. Highly recommend this to anyone who is not liking their Bigsby.
Great Gretsch Sound
If you have a Gretsch Electromatic with the B60 tremolo you need this spring. It improves the responsiveness of the vibrato significantly, and gives you much smoother motion and dive when you play. From a little wiggle to a deep dive you end up with a much more traditional sounding Bigsby. It does raise the arm slightly, but after removing the plastic washer in the spring pocket, it's not very noticeable. This is definitely an inexpensive, easy to do mod that will make your guitar more enjoyable and improve it's playability.
Soft spring
These soft springs are really nice. Very responsive and feel like a well broken in spring AAA++
Super squishy compared to factory spring! Love it on my G5260T!
I never quite liked the spring on my G5260T baritone. It seems very difficult to push the Bigsby tremolo. This Reverend spring is taller and much squishier - so much fun!
Perfect softer spring for my Bigsby
The bar on my Bigsby was too high with 10-46 strings and standard tuning. I didn't even need to take off the strings to install this - just slackened them off and swapped the spring out.
Great bang for your buck
I put this on my Gretsch G2657T and couldn't be more pleased with it. Amazing little upgrade for such a low price. Now, it's a bit longer than the factory, but it's way softer. When you first put it on the arm will be way high, just trust the process and restring. The string tension will pull the arm right back down where it belongs.
Reverend Soft Touch Spring
The tremolo on my Gretsch Electromatic was difficult to use due to the stock spring tension. The soft touch spring solved all that, so much more control over the tremolo arm. Gretsch should make this spring a stock item on their Bigsby equipped guitars, if you purchase this for your Bigsby you won't be sorry, it's worth every penny.
I like It
Almost gave a bad review!! But this old mind did some thinking, and thought to graphite the nut and lubricate the vibrato. Now it works fine! Just had to add a spacer to get the correct tremolo height for me.
Soft Touch
I had a Bigsby B7 put on my Gibson Les Paul Standard and, I'll admit... I was a little let down. I have a Japanese made Gretsch and the Bigsby on that is smoooth (three o's). The new Bigsby on my Gibson... It was like I basically had to go crazy on it to get very little out of it. This added a nice (soft) touch. It made it feel more like my Gretsch's Bigsby. A lot more responsive and I don't have to work it near as hard. A bonus is that it seems to stay in tune better too, and that's with using 9.5 gauge strings. (My LP's nut was cut very good from the factory and I use MusicNomad TuneIt on the saddles) So go for it!I absolutely recommend it. Good job Reverend.
