A duo of hand-wound pickups deliver monumental tone
Schecter pickups from the mid-'70s and early '80s have become highly sought after by players worldwide. Guitarists at Sweetwater are excited that Schecter is now making a complete line of custom pickups, including the USA PT Vintage’s Pasadena VS-1 and VT-1 single-coils, all fastidiously hand-wound in the company's Sun Valley, California, factory. VS-1 single-coil pickups are known for rich cleans, with plenty of output on tap for biting, aggressive overdrive tone. VT-1 pickups deliver a clear, punchy sound with truckloads of soul. Both pickups feature Alnico V magnets, which produce tight lows, plenty of bite, and a nice ear-tickling sparkle.
Vintage C-shaped neck gives you just-right playability
The Schecter USA PT Vintage’s neck is expertly carved from a piece of roasted maple. Rosewood caps the neck with a 12" radius. Its Vintage “C” profile is an exquisite balance of hand-filling comfort and fleet-fingered playability. Add a fingerboard outfitted with 21 durable frets and a sustain-enhancing 1.67” bone nut, and the USA PT Vintage plays as beautifully as it looks.
