This stuff is really the best for the job however, it does react with some rubber
I've gone through multiple rolls!
I've gone through multiple rolls of this hook and loop tape and never had a problem. Highly recommended! Just don't be hasty and misplace it. Having to pull it off renders it too weak for a second application. But that seems like common sense.
Great product!
Been using it for years with no problems.
I have been gigging with Pedaltrain Hook and Loop tape for several years with (almost) zero problems. The only times I've ever had issues are 1) if I applied the tape then pulled it off to move it to another spot, 2) if I painted a pedals surface with a paint that doesn't adhere to the pedal or the tape very well, like most shiny metallic paints (copper, silver, gold), or 3) if I tried to put a tiny bit on the edges of a Boss pedal (come on, Roland!). Don't do any of these things, and this stuff will serve you perfectly!
Works great!
I got two of these and used it to mount all my son's pedals to his new pedaltrain pedalboard and then I used it to mount all my pedals to 19" rackmount blank panels. It works great - secure connection (both on the sticky side and on the velcro side).
Wonderful
I highly recommend ignoring the negative reviews here. Perhaps they got a bad batch, but this stuff sticks well on all sides and Sweetwater is always quick to correct a mistake.
I have seen very small pieces come off of a pedal before, but that's just basic science. These isn't enough surface area for it to get a good grip. I've never seen it pull off of larger pedals or a pedal board.
If you have a PedalTrain board, it only makes sense to get the matching hook-and-loop.
Yeah, I got to give a 5 here to this Hook N Loop
I haven't had any issues with peeling of the backing and in fact it's actually far easier to peel then 3M or Velcro brands. The hook and loop holds steady enough. I suppose if your trying to hang a battleship from the bottom of your board then you might have issues, but the fuzzy stuff and such are again superior to the name brands such as I have found for my usage. Not sure what all the hate is about, this is good stuff and you get quite a bit of length for your money.
Does the backing even peel off?
The Pedaltrain velcro is so frustrating to work with. Peeling the backing off is pain. The backing doesn't want to peel off. My advice is to spend more - buy the real thing.
Spend your money on something else
I got the pedaltrain classic 1 and this material comes with it. It was rather disappointing even compared to the stuff I've bought at craft stores previously. Adhesive is pretty mediocre and the actual hook and loop is pretty poor. For the pedals it holds them to the top of the board well enough, but the power supply underneath it cannot hold up. Either the hook and loop lets go or the adhesive comes off from the power supply getting warm. (Cioks micro power supply) If this comes with your board, I'd buy something else, if you're just looking for something to stick to a board you already have, I'd certainly avoid it.
Hook & Loop tape
The paddleboard tape worked perfectly, will buy again!
The adhesive is worthless.
Picked this up to work on my pedalboard which is still a work-in-progress so I need to take pedals off an on my board a lot. The adhesive on these strips are less strong than the actual velcro, I've had to reapply these several times and I have to cut any sharp corners off to reduce the risk of them coming off. Do yourself a favor and find some hook-and-loop with some stronger adhesive.
No Better
I purchased a Pedaltrain Classic 2 TC 24"x12.5" Pedalboard with Tour Case, about 3 years ago (and it came with plenty to cover the board, any pedals and still have plenty left)…. I've loaded it with pedals (and a power supply because I didn't mount it underneath), and let me just say this… I've changed pedals, added/removed pedals, reconfigured pedals, etc., and every time I have to pull like a mofo… This stuff DOES NOT… I repeat, DOES NOT wear out easily… I'm only thinking of buying new to change colors… But to be honest, I'm a little afraid of trying to take the old off… If you're looking for a way to attach a pedal to a pedalboard, look no further… If you're scared, just say it…. Lol… Just kidding, not really…
Pedaltrain Official Hook-and-Loop Pack
This is the perfect stuff for your pedal board. I give it only 4.5 stars because it is sometimes a challenge to get the backing paper off of the roll. While this is an aggravation, it would not dissuade me from buying this product. Once you get it down, your pedals don't move!!
Don't Know What Low Reviews are Talking About
For mounting pedals and music kit it is absolutely superb. On clean surfaces the adhesive has a very strong hold and the hook & loop is almost too strong when fresh.
I was able to mount a Truetone CS12 to the side of a rack with about 60% coverage (leaving the dip switches uncovered) and it holds great. Does a nice job on my pedals as well, nice solid hold.
Excellent Hold
This is the best Velcro adhesive for holding your pedals to the the board.Easy to handle and holds the pedals securely in place!
Meh, decent enough.
Works fine but it's not the best.
great product
Works perfect very sticky and holds pedals firm in place!
Great product
I"ve used this stuff for years. After a few years you"ll need to replace one side or the other, but if you like to change pedals in and out every so often, this is the way to go. It just works. Just be sure to clean the surfaces with rubbing alcohol and let dry before applying, but that"s true for any brand of Velcro etc.
Horrible Product
Absolutely no function whatsoever. It holds the pedals flimsy at best, requires almost no force to dislodge pedals from the board. Now I have to spend extra money to get velcro from a hardware store
Sticks like a fly on a fly trap
Very strong adhesive that sits on my pedalboard (I made one from wood, so was nervous that the adhesive would have a little trouble sticking to the wood treatment) - no problem at all.
Pedals are sticking like flies on a fly trap/gum to the underside of a chair/wet toilet paper to a roof/etc. (not like glue though)
Even though I haven't tried shaking the board upside down to see if they'll stick, I'm sure I won't ever be doing that.
I would recommend it, as you get a lot of tape and it cuts easily with a scissor.
