It is a great case. It's heavy and seems to be overbuilt everywhere. It is definitely a case to last multiple generations.

The quality of this case is garbage.

I took it to practice the very first time I used it and took my guitar out, shut the case and set it in the corner until after practice.

When we are finished practicing, I went back to put my new guitar in this case, and it had locked itself in the center latch (with keys inside) forcing me to break the center latch to open the case to store my guitar safely.

When you open this case, the cheap hinges, don't even keep the lid aligned when you go to close it.

This is a cheap Chinese made guitar case, for $! I paid $ for my official EVH hardshell TSA approved case. Do not waste your money and spend the extra $ bucks on a decent case.

This is a good guitar case and will protect my "PRS SB Electric guitar" quite well. It has good neck support, and the accessory compartment has a lid that snaps closed. It is not meant to be thrown around, but neither is your guitar. I would have given the case 5 stars, but I think it's a little overpriced.

Purchased for a PRS SE McCarty 594 Single Cut. The guitar fits but the neck sticks up pretty high and the lid puts pressure on the neck. There is extra padding in the upper part of the guitar body area to compensate for a set back neck like my guitar has but I believe it is a little too thick and it causes the neck to be too high. I made a fret protector out of some thin plexiglass I had because the case put a lot of pressure on the strings and frets. I have tried compressing the padding, it might be a little better now. I will keep the case since it is so hard to find one to fit this guitar. Already had to return a Gator case.

This case fits my Ric 620/12 perfectly. I took measurements and compared with Sweetwater's impressive display of measurements in their photos. And it's dead on. Everything about this Paul Reed Smith case is well thought out. Definitely not your average bear when it comes to cases. You won't be disappointed.

My Zach Myers PRS SE is a tough bird to cage. Standard-size "generic" cases won't do the trick, as it's too wide for a small case and too short for a large case. In this case, it's snug and secure, and it has a good-sized snap-shut storage cabinet for accessories. This PRS M-F Case is the best.

The PRS Muti-fit guitar case is well made, looks great, is nicely padded, has a large storage area and fits my PRS S2 Factory Special like a glove. However, I will have to admit that the neck does not sit down completely in the neck rest. It ALMOST sits down all the way, but not quite. I think a case at the price point should NOT have that problem. That's why I rated it at 4 1/2 stars and not 5. But I'm not concerned about it because my CE-24 fits the same way in its case, and I've had the CE for years and there has been no negative effect on the guitar. PRS should put their logo on their cases, but they don't. Bummer.

I purchased this as a gift for someone, but had a chance to check it out thoroughly. This thing is built like a tank. The placement of storage areas is well thought out. I've had a few hard cases in my time and nothing has been as well built as this. That being said it is also heavy. That may be the only slight drawback, but in my opinion worth it for the peace of mind knowing the guitar inside is well protected.

This guitar case is fantastic. It is well constructed and fits my PRS CE24 well. This is the case that should have been std for the CE24 instead of the Gig Bag.

Not a light case by any means, but much more solid than the Fender cases that inspired its formfactor and styling. It was made by GWW in Costa Rica. GWW might be better known for their Ameritage cases. I added felt feet where the metal glides would normally be on a Fender case. I would have prefered the metal glides.

I bought this case mostly for storage when my PRS is not out on its stand. It is not suitable for air travel and I think around town I would more likely use a gig bag. I have an Access Stage One Short Scale Electric Guitar Bag which is marketed for Fender Mustangs, but is a great fit for a PRS with its Strat sized body and shorter 3+3 headstock. It is a nice step up in compactness and protection from the stock PRS bag.

This is a Great Case! Fits My CE 24 Semi Hollow like a Glove!! Strong, and well built!

This is a great case overall but I was disappointed it did not have any insignia anywhere on the case (even the gig bag has a logo), but it is very well built, has a very roomy snap lock storage area, and fits my McCarty like a glove! It is quite heavy even without your guitar in it, though.

Let me start with saying this case is built extremely well and do not regret getting it. The handle doesn't feel like it will ever come off the latches feels nice. My only complaint is the weight of the case. Got to be the heaviest case I've owned. My SE custom 24 was a perfect it. Even if the weight of this case I still highly recommend it and me personally I give it 5 stars proudly.

As other reviewers have noted, a PRS SE Custom 24 WILL NOT FIT in this case correctly: when the body of the guitar is seated properly within the molded foam, the neck does not align with the carved neck support - it's at least an inch off-center and so sits on the high left side of the U-shaped foam cutout for the neck support. The guitar neck won't stay in the support unless you hold it in place, but doing so causes the body to lift off of the bottom of the molded foam, putting pressure on the guitar neck at the spot of the ill-fitting neck support.

I had relied on Sweetwater's Certified Fit designation and felt sure this case would secure my 2018 PRS SE Custom 24 - I was shocked when it didn't. Before returning the case, I called PRS directly to assure myself this wasn't just a one-off quality control issue. The person I spoke with at PRS confirmed (through another employee) that they are aware that an SE Custom 24 doesn't fit properly in the multi-fit case - they described the exact issue without me having to fully explain it. The official PRS line is that while the case does fit multiple models, it was specifically designed around a Core. The person at PRS recommended that I stuff some microfiber cloth in the case to shore up the support, but this seemed extremely unsatisfactory to me...especially considering the price of the case (and the guitar it's meant to hold!).

While this issue may not necessarily ruin your guitar, there's always a risk when you have gaps like this and then close the case and put pressure on the instrument. Your guitar should fit perfectly in a body-molded case like this, without the need for modification or rags to keep it in place...especially for this kind of money. If you have a PRS SE Custom 24, you would be wise to skip this case.

The case is heavy and off balance empty. Seems very well made. With the guitar in the case it becomes balanced. Heavy doesn't bother me personally, transportation protection is what matters. Happy with this purchase and would recommend.

Bought this case for my PRS Paul's Guitar. The guitar fits snugly inside. It doesn't move around at all, during transport. The case is well built, and sturdy. It feels heavy, when compared to other cases made with other materials. But it's solidly built out of wood, and is slimmer than other cases. There's a good amount of storage space inside, and the latches are well-made and secure.

This PRS custom fit guitar case is the best investment you can make for your guitar. As others have said, it is heavy, but that is because it is very well made. It is almost identical to a 1988 case I have in my collection, that speaks for itself. My SE fits perfect, took a few days to seat-in, but that is normal. Should also fit a Custom 24, basically the same thing. Very plush inside, with nice latches and hardware. Generous storage. 5 stars.

PRS' products are always high quality and you can rest assured this case is no different. Bought this for the CE Semi Hollow and it's the perfect fit. Gives me a bit more peace of mind knowing my investment is protected in a hard case, rather than the soft gig bag that comes with the guitar.

Looked at, reviewed several other brands, and even purchased one that I thought would fit my PRS CE 24. That case did not fit and left a space under the guitar where the neck joined the guitar body. I returned it to the dealer. The PRS MULTIFIT CASE was not in stock locally, called Sweetwater, they had one in stock, purchased it, and it arrived well packed in a prs box, in 4 days. Thanks to Nick for knowledgeable answers to my questions re the case and helping me with the order. Good case - seems like you get what you pay for with this PRS MULTIFIT case. Fits my CE 24 like a glove with a good storage compartment for tuner, strings, strap etc.

My PRS SE Custom 24 came with a really heavy duty PRS gig bag, however, I"m not a fan of gig bags. I prefer the security of this rock solid case. It"s so plush inside that I don"t have to worry about scratching the finish of my guitar. There is also a nice compartment that you can fit a lot in (strap, cleaner, picks, tremolo bar, etc). Please do yourself a favor—if you spent good money on a beautiful guitar, buy this case to ensure it"s well protected! It"s really heavy but not too heavy to carry. All in all, a sturdy tool.

There are a couple of things to know about this case: One is that it is extremely well-built, like a good piece of hard-sided luggage. It fits my PRS guitar like a glove, and ought to provide maximum protection for the instrument. However, if you are used to SKB style cases, you are going to find this case to be heavy, much heavier. Whether or not that is an issue for you is purely personal--it is no big thing for me. Another issue is obvious: it is pricey. You are paying extra for a well-made case that fits your guitar perfectly. PRS makes great stuff, but you have to pay for that level of quality.

I"m using two of these cases, one for an SE Tremonti Custom and the other for a PRS SE Holcomb, and I can vouch for the "cut the case" method posted below - it"s the best way for the Tremonti SE to lay properly. Feels funny cutting a $... case, but removing the extra padding works.

I wasn't pleased that my PRS CE came with a thinly padded gig bag so I decided to purchase a hard shell case. The PRS Vintage Guitar case is fantastic. It is very well made, the hardware is sturdy, it has a good sized storage compartment, the interior is well padded and my CE fits perfectly. I've read reviews that said the neck on their PRS guitar doesn't fit into the neck support properly but I don't have that problem with my CE.

If you are wise you would never keep a guitar as nice as a PRS in a gig bag! This case is strong and very solid. the 4.5 rating is because it's also very heavy tho that's not a bad thing!

This is a great case. Very high quality. The only reason for the 4 star rating is that in spite of PRS saying that this case fits an SE 245, and it does not fit perfectly. There's 1.5" of "air" under the neck due to the neck joint not fitting into the case properly. I tried 4 other kinds of cases that said an SE 245 would fit, they had the same problem and they were not even close. I took advice from another reviewer and made a cut in the liner, took some of the foam from the bottom of the case near the neck, and cut some of the hard foam support near the neck joint. The guitar now settles in nicely with minimum "air" under the headstock support.

If you want a super high quality case, and don't mind 5 minutes of modifying, you'll have a great case.

Just purchased a PRS CE 24 from Sweetwater, but I'm not a fan of the gig bag that comes with it. I purchased this case, (ACC-4255). When the body lays flat, the neck of the guitar is a couple inches above where it should lay. If I push the neck down, the lower bout of the body raises up. The case closes with no problem even with the neck off the rest, but I don't like that. There seems to be too much padding under the body where the neck bolts on. Maybe the SKB case would have been a better choice.

A little expensive but guitar fits perfecrly. Yes, it is heavy because the case is built to protect your "baby". I like it a lot. The Sweetwater guys are good.

This case survived water dripping on it for multiple days due to a burst pipe upstairs while I was away from home. It even re-routed all of the water to the bottom of the case and under the neck of the guitar. My PRS Custom 24 was completely untouched and checked out by a luthier with no water damage at all. If you're looking for a case to protect your guitar while away from home, look no further.

Guitar body fit perfectly, but neck did not line up exactly with styrofoam support (just slightly off center). First suggestion was to sort of crush the foam to make a more custom fit. The body foam is pliable but the neck support is basically rigid styrofoam so I really didn't want to mess with it. The worst part was that the neck of the guitar did not sit IN the neck slot. It hovered in the air ABOVE it which meant the top (when closed) would exert a downward force on the neck. This, to me, was totally unacceptable. I called Sweetwater; they called PRS; PRS said "no problem, the guitar would be fine." Maybe, but I get a pit in my stomach every time I close the lid, so I'm looking for another option. Bummer. I am accustomed to the near perfection of PRS products, so the "crush the styrofoam" and "the guitar will be OK anyway" was not what I expected. Nice guitars though.

Comparing this to another case I own, this is definitely rugged and well built. And I especially like that the interior compartment can be opened without removing the guitar.

However, as noted by other reviewers here, the neck of my SE 245 floated about 1 1/2 inches above the neck rest when laying in the case with the lid open, and it took an uncomfortable amount of pressure to close the case. This seems to be caused by an extra layer of padding in the body cavity under where the body meets the neck.

Since I liked all other aspects of the case, I decided to do some exploratory surgery. With a new sharp blade in my utility knife, I cut a slit in the interior cover where the extra padding ended. Looking inside, I removed the extra layer of foam, eliminating the rise under the neck side of the body.

Now my guitar sits perfectly in the case, with the neck resting on the support when the lid is open, and closing with very little pressure. The slit is barely visible. Perfect!

This is a very high quality case, but very very heavy. I had to send mine back as I"m a hernia sufferer and just can"t lift this consistently, but if your in good shape this thing is bomb proof and very good looking.

I bought this case for a PRS SE custom semi-hollow (I'm sure there are a bunch of unused PRS gig bags out there in the world). The fit is snug, though it doesn't seem to be as good of a fit as my former Epiphone LP in an Epiphone case (and not nearly as soft either). The case is heavy, but I'm confident that the guitar will be protected. I just may have to switch which arm is carrying it more often :)

BEWARE THIS CASE WILL NOT FIT A 2017 SE TREMONTI CUSTOM PROPERLY.Im not sure why prs will not give these guitars any love and actually make a hard case to fit them.it states it will fit the se single cut but yes it will fit in there but the body compartment has a weird slope to it and there fore it will not work unless a piece of shirt is placed under body to level it out and for $200 I don't think so.But you may have money to throw away in which case go for it.Mine is going back.

I have a PRS SE 30th anniversary custom 24 guitar. The guitar fits like a glove. The case is very plush and professional looking. I would've given it a 5 but the case is on the heavy side. Built like a tank but heavy.

Well built case with plenty of paddig and a really tight fit. I also like the way they put the accessory box in so that you can get in it without moving the guitar.

PRS makes this case as a multi model hard shell case. My PRS S2 Custom Semi Hollow came with a gig bag that is good for a quick in and out performance, but is not good for air travel or protective storage. My sales rep, Matt Emick, suggested that this case might fill my needs and he was right. Again. The fit was a bit tight at first but after storing the S2 for a week the fit was perfect. You can expect the same quality of craftsmanship that PRS puts into it's guitars in this case. (this case looks just like my other PRS cases that came with the 7 core guitars that I already owned) A decent value but a great case. Looking for a hard shell case, made very well and at an OK price then this is for you!

In June I purchased an Amherst PRS SE custom at the Sweetwater store. It quickly became the favorite of all my guitars. I wanted to take it with me when I went between houses and just didn't feel the gig bag was sufficient to protect it. I called Brian at Sweetwater and he got out one of these cases and a PRS like mine and put it in the case and made sure it was the perfect case for my guitar, all while on the phone with me. I drove by ran in, picked up the case and paid for it and on my way in less than 10 min. The case is very sturdy, solid and a perfect fit for my guitar. I bought one of these for my PRS 245. About a month later, I was in a serious car accident where my truck rolled over at least once. I woke up in the hospital with no memory of the accident at all, and I had no idea where my guitar was. It turned out they had tossed it in the bed of my truck when they towed it off. When I finally saw the case, my heart sank. One latch was smashed and broken off. There were gouges and tears all over the tolex from all the glass, and a stress crack along half the length of one edge and completely across the bottom as if it had been bent like a bow. I popped it open half expecting my baby to be in 2 pieces. To my surprise, my guitar was fine. I checked it over thoroughly. Not a scratch. All I had to do was retune it as a couple strings had popped out of their nut grooves. The case was destroyed, but my guitar was fine.

I'll be getting another case just like it.

This case fit my 1995 PRS USA Custom 22 perfectly. The original case started to falll apart, so I needed a new case. I gave this new case a 4-star rating because I have some nit-picky issues with it. First, I prefer the spring-loaded locking end latches and the padded leather handle of the original case. Also, the original case's storage compartment was a little larger. Finally, I thought the price of the new case was a little high. All in all, I am satisfied with the new case, but I feel the original case was a little nicer.

I purchased this case for my PRS SE Custom 24 instead of one of the cheaper alternatives thinking it would be a good fit. It was, almost. While the guitar sits in the case the neck does not rest in the support until you close the lid which leaves the rear part of the body elevated slightly. I almost sent it back because of this but in the end it was not worth the restocking fee and return shipping.

This case is heavy and that's OK but the hardware is cheap. Having owned 3 PRS American Customs it's easy to see that PRS is cutting corners and it shows in the lower build quality.

This is still a good case and I would recommend it but just don't expect your Korean made PRS to fit the way an American made PRS would.

I had high hopes for this case but ultimately it proved to be of lower quality than expected. I could have lived with the lower quality hardware and fit and finish but the showstopper for me was that my PRS SE Custom 24 does not sit in the case correctly. When the guitar is sitting in the case the neck does not rest in the support until you close the lid. Then when the lid is closed the rear most part of the body of the guitar is not supported. This is due to a kind of fulcrum effect created by the padding in the case. I had to RMA this. Not Sweetwater's fault... just a faulty PRS design for a not so cheap case.

The case is well made, however, my PRS SE Tremonti Custom hovers about 2 inches above the neck support when laying in the case. The fit is great, except for this major detail. The case is very soft inside, so I hope it's not putting any pressure on my neck joint. I thought as time went on, the case would "mold" to the guitar. I've had the case for about a month now, and the neck still hovers the same as when I first got it. In fact, this is the only guitar I own that I leave out of its case-- and only because I'm concerned with the fit. I really only leave it in the case long enough to transport it. I would certainly suggest that you only buy this case if you check your guitar's fit in it first.

my prs se custom 24 came with a very nice gig bag, but i prefer the protection that this case provides. yes it's heavy,maybe heavier than the guitar, but i've never seen a better fit. it also has a roomy storage area with snapping lid, plus plenty of open space. my next prs will likley be a maryland guitar, but if it's a se i would buy a case with it. anyone need a nice prs gig bag ?

The guitars are a nice snug fit and do not move around.

After purchasing and returning a generic brand guitar case for my PRS Custom SE 24, I purchased a PRS case from Sweetwater. It was a little more money. However, the case was high quality and fit my guitar perfectly. For anyone looking for a PRS case as an upgrade from a gig bag or as a replacement case, this case is an outstanding value. I am extreme pleased with the results..

This case was just what I needed for my Custom 24. With the fitted interior, it cradles the guitar perfectly. Plenty of storage in the separate compartment for your strap, some tools, maybe even a pedal. Excellent quality!

In all honesty this is a pretty darn good case.The hardware is wonderful, the stitching is of very good quality, it looks fantastic, and the inside is absolutely to die for. The only issue I have with the case at all, and maybe it's just me, but the covering material on the outside seems pretty thin/cheap in my opinion. I haven't had a tear or rip at all (then again I haven't done any real travel with the case), but it doesn't seem like it would take much to damage the covering. All I know is It's definitely not on par with the sort of tolex covering material I've worked with before. Aside from that however the case is pretty much perfect and well worth the cost. It was exactly what I needed for my PRS Orianthi SE however, and well within my budget.

I purchased this case for my Zach Myers SE guitar. The gig bag is nice but I wanted the extra protection the hardshell provides. My guitar fit very snug although I didn't experience the headstock tightness the reviewer below noted.
The case itself is a very tight fitting case. Beats the SKB and Fender cases I own too. The storage compartment is quite large and could actually hold a small pedal.
Sweetwater shipping really impressed me. OTHER companies send a shipped notice when the package hasn't even left their facility. This case shipped on a Thursday and I got it on Saturday

This case shipped with my PRS Custom 24 (or rather, my Custom shipped inside it). Despite being pretty nice / luxurious, it has some very real practical concerns:

1) It is HEAVY! They took great pains to make this as much like a "vintage" case as possible - that includes making the frame out of solid wood. I'm not sure what kind of wood the frame is made of, but with the guitar inside it, you're essentially dealing with a giant block of wood with a handle attached. Several times, I've carried the case in one hand, and my Egnater Tweaker 40 tube amp in the other - this case rivals my amp's weight.

2) The handle is hard to grip, which is only made worse by how heavy the thing is. It's made of textured plastic (not leather / rubber!), and slips out of your hand within minutes. It's also awkwardly placed toward the back of the case, which can make it hard to balance, or more annoyingly, hard to hold onto on a windy day.

3) The felt lining sheds little black hairs all over the place - don't be surprised to find them inside your guitar bridge or tremolo cavity.

4) I must say, although it's a *pretty* tight fit, I was expecting a tighter fit, given that this is the manufacturer's case. I'm guessing they made it somewhat looser to accomodate the slightly different body shapes of the Santana & McCarthy.

I ended up replacing this case with the SKB 3i-4214-PRS waterproof, airtight, TSA-approved flight case - WOW what an improvement in every way! PRS should contract with SKB to make these their default factory cases!

I helped a friend get a PRS guitar and I insisted that he should put it in an authentic case. We are both highly impressed with this case. This is the nicest and well built case I've ever seen. I was always impressed with my Epiphone cases but they took the back seat to this one. I joked with him that I would give him one of my universal cases and keep this one for myself. The weight of the case is offset so it balances when the guitar is in it. It has a large storage section that stays closed until you unsnap it. It really compliments the guitar.

This case is great and fits my PRS Akerfelt real well, the only thing i noticed is how close to the tip of the Guitars head it is. I have been told that is how PRS cases are too. It is very tight fitting and touches the edge of the cases padding, in other words it does not free float inside like skb or gators. Could be my model guitar too. I guess this is how PRS cases are. very snug and no play so it fits tight. Outside is awesome and tough , almost shell like, the thing is heavy duty too and has some weight with tough latches that snap tight also. Your guitar will be safe in this thing as thick as it is. bottom has nice buttons to set it up without falling. and a great compartment too that snaps tight . A solid case that looks nice. Streewater sent it packed well. and fast too.

I needed a replacement case for my PRS 20th Anniversary Artist Series Custom 24 guitar. PRS wanted something like $500 for one. Yeah, thanks but no thanks.

Along comes Sweetwater with this magnificent PRS case for a great price. I ordered it, received it in *2* days and it's PERFECT. Gotta love the new guitar case smell! Seriously though, it's a great case and even has extra room in it (versus my old case) that I use to store a backup set of tubes for my Marshall. I highly recommend this case.

The case is just what my son wanted for his PRS 25th Edition Guitar. The guitar came with a White Leather Case - not good when gigging - so he needed to buy a black one - and he did - from you!!
As Sweetwater only ship within the States, we asked our good friend in America to get it for us and for him to ship it over to the UK. It was still cheaper to do it this way than to buy the case in the UK.

Perfect replacement for my old beat up PRS case. Exactly like the original!
