Looks Like a Collector's Guitar, Feels and Sounds Like a Stage Veteran
Not everyone wants a guitar to look lovingly road-worn, and for those aesthetically-inclined guitarists, the Friedman NoHo 24 features a striking finish over top-notch woods to create a premium look to match its masterful craftsmanship. The NoHo 24's alder body is topped with 3A figured maple and finished with a non-aged conversion varnish that brings out the depth and dimension of the wood grain. And it offers the stellar playability Friedman guitars are known for, with its carefully-crafted maple neck with a hand-rubbed oil finish. Complete with a pair of custom-wound Friedman Triple D pickups with Alnico V magnets, the Friedman NoHo 24 guitar is ready to rock right out of the case.
Two long legacies of quality instruments
Dave Friedman has been modding and building music equipment for such luminary artists as Eddie Van Halen, Jerry Cantrell, and Steve Stevens for decades. And Grover Jackson has been building high-performance guitars for thousands of players around the world. Both of their meticulous attention to the needs of artists and the details of their designs have culminated in some Alnico gear that can be found in studios and on stages around the world. These NoHo 24 electric guitars are created with that same passion for excellence, allowing you to own an instrument designed by the best, crafted by the best, and that the best would be proud to play.
Custom, handmade electronics
The NoHo 24's electronics were engineered to be a straightforward affair, with tones that can go from warm jazz to punchy rock and everything in between. The two Friedman Triple D Humbuckers with Alnico V magnets balance a clear top end that enhances string-to-string definition with an aggressive midrange that sounds marvelous when driving an amp hard. And the internal CTS pots and Orange drop capacitors deliver the purest signal possible.
Innovation in a classic neck
One of the really cool innovations of the NoHo 24 is in the neck. Many electric guitar necks are known to shift slightly when exposed to pressure from the player or from contact with another object. Grover Jackson came up with an idea to keep the neck from shifting laterally by introducing two metal rods at the neck joint in addition to the traditional 4-screw neck plate. The result is a zero-shift neck that truly stays in place during play.
