Great Modular Analog Synth Plug-In
Comparing the Mod V to my experience with a System 55, I am pleased with the sound which I found to be pretty authentic. A huge advantage over an actual modular Moog is the ability to save patches, especially complex ones. Also no patch cable issues. Oh yeah, and the price. This is my go-to plug-in when I'm looking for analog synth sounds and effects. You will hear it on the latest Gem FM releases.

Authentic Moog experience
Having hands-on experience with a Moog full analog synth back in my college days a few decades ago, I can tell you that sonically this is pretty identical, and the control panel experience is just as simultaneously frustrating and exhilarating in its parameter settings as the original as well.
To the reviewer below: Of course it's not able to be set in surround mode. It's a Moog. Moogs are stereo, if you're LUCKY. Want surround or quad? Multitrack it yourself. That's how we used to do it.

Another great emulation from Arturia, I've been enjoying this a lot since purchasing. From purchase to download to registration and use took about twenty minutes in total, and it sounds great.

At first, this synth plug-in can seem a little overwhelming. With a few online tutorials and couple days of practice, it is a straight forward system.

If you haven't got $30,000 to drop on the vintage reissue this is as close as you're going to get to one. I've been working with this this soft synth since Version 1 and I just never get tired of playing with it. Endless possibilities.
Very authentic Moog sound!
Very authentic sounding and true to the hardware version of the Moog. Excellent filters and sequencer. A great addition to any composer's or sound designer's palette...
Patch to oblivion
Sounds punchy, possibilities are truly limitless and you won't run out of patch cables. As an owner of an original minimoog, I can honestly say that it has that true Moog sound and takes up a heck of a lot less space than its 3D counterpart. Well worth the cheese.
