Nice piece of gear!

By Jack from NM

A really nice piece of gear! Looks great! Works great! Easy setup with my windows 11 machine. The minifuse app to control routing/mixing options is easy and intuitive. The USB hub ports are a fantastic bonus feature. I have recorded a few songs using a Roland ekit via MIDI, guitar/bass/keyboards direct into my DAW with no perceived latency. Haven't used a microphone with it yet. So far so good!!!!

I love this

By Jonathan W. from Dublin, OH

This is a fantastic audio interface. The quality is incredible. Does everything. I love the monitor output being separate from the phones monitor. Capable of any audio plug and midi. It's really nice.

Was stoked then it just stopped

By Sweetwater Customer

After a little over two years of light use the unit just stopped working?

I really wanted to like it...or even love it.

By Christopher G. from bloomington, IL

I own a lot of Arturia geat. But, this thing? I'm sending back. It is extremely difficult to set up (which is strange because it's just an audio interface).

The instructions are unintuitive. Getting Ableton Live to work with it is a nightmare. Not only do I not like it, I straight up hate it. I've been trying for four hours to get it working correctly - no dice.

Going back to my MOTU M2...that thing just works.

I really like this!

By Jasmine from Connecticut
Music Background: Audio Engineer

Sturdy construction. Can be powered D/C or USB, though some features are not available when powered over USB. I/O is clean. Technically plug and play operations, but to get to the device mixer you do have to install the software which is easy as it loads as a drive when you first plug it in. Beware that inputs 3 and 4 were turned off by factory default. If needed, it does come with the Lite versions of the usual freebies. Manual is clear and easy to read and even walks through setup of some common DAWs. Overall, am fan and fits the needs of a secondary setup away from my main studio. Arturia is great

Perfect Fit for Student Setup

By Sweetwater Customer from Pasadena, CA

The MiniFuse 4 is the core of a perfect little student music production kit. The dual-headphone monitoring (student & teacher) and the multiple inputs for mics, guitars and line-level instruments provides just the right flexibility for a kid learning his way around a recording studio. The USB hub functionality has also been a help in keeping the wire clutter to a minimum. Sound quality has been rock solid, and the interface has been a breeze to use with the DAW. We've been very happy with our choice.

Increible

By german g. from DORAL, FL

There is no other way to describe it, versatile in all aspects, it is a very good option, simple and complete with a number of special options that others do not have and it is also portable to go on a trip with your laptop and record, very suitable for these times and the Vst plugins are magnificent super pro! The audio quality is one of the highest, I use it more than the UA VOLT 476.

Arturia Mini Fuse 4

By Jeff S.

This interface is a great sounding well built piece of gear. Its design was well thought out and it works perfectly. The pre amps are quiet, the knobs are solid and smooth turning and there's a usb port on the back. It's a pleasure to work with and is intuitive to operate. Solid. 5/5!

Minifuse 4 Curiosities

By Sweetwater Customer from VA
Music Background: Semi-pro a long time ago, current pipe organ building with Hauptwerk

I bought Minifuse 4 to replace an M-Audio 410 which no longer plays nice with Windows PCs.
I wanted a simple USB device with 4 independent output channels, MIDI in, and 2 XLR with 48v.

The Minifuse does provide these with some curiosities.
It seems designed to use a DAW. Without a DAW it loses some useful features (or at least I haven't found them)

I cannot access the Control Panel's 4 analog outputs from the PC (Audacity, or Hauptwerk).
I must use the 2 stereo USB channels which are labeled MAIN and AUX rather than 1,2,3,4.
None of the Minifuse's physical or Control Center volume controls work. While not critical they could be useful at times.
I use a 12' extension USB cable since the pipe organ console and speakers are distant from the PC.
I haven't tested the XLR inputs.

The initial setup required online authentication which I did not expect for a hardware device.

The bottom line it that it was packaged very well, is well built, works well , and is priced right for me.
I also like the long guarantee.

Arturia MiniFuse 4

By Keith
Music Background: Guitar and piano

I wanted to get a MiniFuse but waited for the MiniFuse 4 to ship, and I'm glad I waited. The form factor is great. Looks good and functions very well. I like the ability to power it with or without a computer. And the software that comes with it is exactly what I wanted. I'm just starting out with recording and making music, so this is a good amount of plugins for me right now. My only complaint is the process of downloading the third-party included software. There has to be a simpler way to handle the downloading. I consider myself pretty computer literate, and it confused the hell out of me, especially getting guitar lab 6 loaded. Other than that, so far, I love it.
