Incredible
I've played and owned top model Gibsons, Taylors, Martins etc, and this guitar can equal or top the best of them, but at 1/3 the price. A++
Godin Guitars Are Great
I've had my Metropolis EQ Limited Havana Burst for several months now, but forgot to leave a review.
First, I love that Godin uses cedar tops in several of their guitars . . . I just like that tone. When the cedar is paired with the solid mahogany back and sides on the Metropolis, it gives that nice mellow, laid back tone that I like. I don't use picks and the Metropolis responds; finger picking works as well; but you can "bang" on it strumming with a pick and it will be just fine.
With the LR Baggs Anthem, whatever sound you're after should be there.
Godin guitars, in general, are a true value. The Metropolis can match the quality and sound of guitars costing twice as much or more (in my opinion).
Great guitar
I'm not really a big review guy. I just can't say enough about this guitar.I love Godin guitars, so I was really excited about The Metropolis line.
I took a shot and went for it. Wow. This has been my go to live guitar since I bought it. The LR Baggs Anthem sounds great.I have quite a number of acoustics including Taylors and Gibsons. This guitar definitely gives them much competition in my opinion.
Thanks as always to my sales rep Mark Bruhn, who has become a good friend over the years.
