Tama mic stands

By M.O'Connell from Brunswick, Maine
Music Background: Exec. Director Expanding Sky Studio, musician, drummer, composer, producer and audio engineer.

We here at our studio are amazed at how good these Tama mic stands are. Sturdy, well constructed, and highly capable stands that behave like you spent way more $. We do have some other brand stands that are rock solid (nameless), but at more than half the cost the Tama stands truly measure up. For a while there we could not find stands that sat in the middle of either light weight, flimsy stands or hugely expensive and complicated ones until we we tried a number of Tama stands. Viola! the sweet spot. Highly recommended

The Chuck Norris Of Mic Stands

By Sweetwater Customer
Music Background: Sound Mixer/Drummer

TAMA Iron Works Studio Series mic stands are--in my opinion--the best built mic stands at this time on the market. Stellar build quality, heavy duty, solid, stable, superb isolation, built to last. Really they are the best of the best. I'm using the Low-Profile Telescoping Boom stands in my home studio for snare, auxiliary snare, floor toms and gong bass drum. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend the Studio Series for the road and gigging if you don't mind the extra weight. Let's be clear: that extra weight is what makes these stands so incredibly stable. I considered the TAMA Tour Series stands to shave off several pounds on weight--which I feel to be the best for medium duty stands out there (if not superior to their competitors' counterpart models)--but I'm totally sold on the TAMA Studio Series. This is a classic example of buy once and you'll never regret the purchase. These stands should easily outlive me. TAMA got it right with their Studio Series mic stands.
