I got this head on a spur of the moment buy. It is heavily coated, and easily double that of other brands. Tunes up great, and sounds great.

I really wanted to like these heads. I bought a 14" and 16" for my floor toms. The 14" tuned up nicely and gives a decent vintage tone, but the 16" has separation between the plies that I thought would resolve once tightened. It didn't - at least not at the point where I want my floor tom batter head to be. The result was that the top layer of film isn't tightened, creating a situation where it isn't giving tone,and it makes annoying rattles and squeaks as the bottom layer vibrates against it.

I would have returned this head if I hadn't already mounted it and voided it's eligibility for return.
