Temple audio Power cable

By CHARLES D. from MONTPELIER, VA

This company has a lot of things streamlined to make your pedalboard very modular and easy to customize. It's not cheap but it works well. Their board are reasonably priced but when you get it all done it can get up therein $s. Sweetwater is always helpful if you need a consult!

Almost Perfect

By Jack from San Francisco

As you can see in many other reviews- the mounting hardware is pretty bad. The actual plugs and switch are fantastic. I have 3 and one is 10 years old and has had a lot of beer and water spilled on it. Works fine.

Works Well, But Not As-Is

By Sweetwater Customer

Does what it's supposed to, but only after drilling through the board and using M3 bolts and nuts to hold the module in place. The stock machine screws only thread into like 1/16" of the board, and it just is not sturdy. This sadly is the case for all Temple board mods. An unfortunate design flaw

Temple Rules!!

By Sweetwater Customer

I haven't hidden the fact that I think the Temple system is the absolute best pedalboard. I own two of them. It's because of their module concept and this is another excellent example of why you should head down this route if you haven't already. It's the ONLY pedalboard brand I will ever use.
Temple + CIOKS = GREATNESS!!

Great product.

By John D. from Fort Wayne, IN
Music Background: Dabbler of toan and gear nerd.

Exactly what I wanted it to be. Super easy to install. Just unscrew the two feet screws and the two rail screws. Pop the colored side off the board and install the iec module. Then just pop the side back on and screw it together. Took less than 5 minutes. Screwed right in and is holding strong. No wiggle room. Tested and pedalboard fired right up.

Great but takes a little work to get installed

By JS from VA

I read the reviews about how hard it is to install so I just removed the carry handle on the top and the entire side panel before I installed it. Once the side was off it installed pretty easily with the provided screwdriver. I found a right-angle power cable online that keeps everything nice and neat. It's great to be able to turn the entire board off now without having to remove a bunch of power cables from each pedal.

Finally switched power with mounting fix

By Mike from Lost Wages, ИV

This is a fantastic product that finally gives you a way to power off your entire board via a switch on the main power input. The problem with this product along with all of their products (I imagine) is the mounting solution with the short screws. The following was my fix and it worked but proceeded at your own risk, lol. This unit's mounting plate is hard plastic with a metal backing plate. I took a semi coarse file and removed about half the thickness of the hard plastic on both sides, right around where the countersink ends. I did remove the entire side plate from the board to securely mount the cord. I used a dab of loctite on the supplied silver screws and the end result was a firm sturdy mounted IEC main power switch.

Included screwdriver does not work

By Sweetwater Customer

The screwdriver I was given does not fit the screws.

Thankfully, I have a set of tiny screwdrivers and was able to get it mounted with one of those.

screws too short and included screwdriver is useless

By James W. from Colchester, CT

While I love the concept, the screws are too short. You'll be lucky to get one revolution. I can't see this screw holding long-term. And, with such a tiny screw, they couldn't supply a magnetized one? It's nice that there is an included long and thin screwdriver. Too bad the head is too fat to fit the included screws. Once I deal with the screw issue, I'm sure this will be a five star product and an improvement to my board, but this shouldn't have to be so hard. Be aware that you are going to have to remove the side panel to install this, and this requires an L-shaped screwdriver. My ultra low profile offset screwdrivers didn't fit for removing the side.

Module works flawlessly. A nice addition to my board. Although board required partial disassembly to install because mounting screws are very small.

Solid Unit, careful with install

By Sweetwater Customer from Fairfield, OH

Does what it is supposed to, however install can be a little tricky. I have a Duo24 and you really can't get both screws in, which you 100% want, without removing one of the side panels. Also save the screws from the punch out and use those rather than the ones that come with this. I've seen several reviews talking about how the screws and holes didn't quite want to match up or thread and that was the case with mine. Make sure you use a screw bit that fits the screws well so you don't strip the heads out on them. If you're patient and take your time with it you'll be fine and you'll have a solid addition to your board.

Good idea, bad execution

By Hector R. from KISSIMMEE, FL

I love the modularity that temple audio boards affords, and I have to say that every other module I have bought from them works well, this one has a big flaw - the actual mounting design. So this is designed to fit into a micro module in a temple audio board, however if that micro module is placed towards the back of the board you will not be able to place both screws in. The IEC module is too fat. You will not have enough space on one side to fit a screw and screwdriver. Another minor issue is the length of the screw itself. It's just barely long enough for the socket. You'll have to come up with another method to secure the module if you don't want it to come loose.

A must have for a pro quality board

By Mike D. from Cincinnati
Music Background: Student of the guitar and apparently a gear nut

I have a temple audio duo 24 and a voodoo labs power supply and this module is a perfect fit. I originally had removed the module cover and ran the iec cord through it! Talk about a hillbilly. I had to get this unit and I'm glad I did. This makes it a pro quality job that us amateurs can achieve!

Very nice option and application

By Mike D.
Music Background: Longtime student of the guitar and recently? A total gear head

Very easy to install. I still don't know why Temple Audio doesn't put a little manual to explain the possibilities! This gear is great stuff and they should blow their own horn a little bit. That said it is pretty easy for any gear head to figure it out, it is a process that takes time and patience. Itsworth it when you're done and playing through it all. Fun times from purchase to playing.

Great switch, does the job, finicky mounting

By Sweetwater Customer from San Francisco, CA

I got it installed in under 5 minutes, so it isn't hard, but it's not a great experience. I ended up using the included extra long screw driver, pushed the screw threw the mounting hole toward the back of the board (the one you can't see), and hoped I had it lined up as I placed the unit into the frame of the pedalboard. It only took me a few tries, but I don't feel super confident in the mounting screws in terms of ruggedness.

Must have for Temple boards

By Mark from Johns Creek, GA
Music Background: Weekend performer

I really think Temple should include these and the 4-Way Jack Patch on all boards but I realize not everyone has the same devices. In my case, I was connecting the power cable 3-4" inches directly into power supply under a fairly loaded board, not ideal. So now it connects easily and looks more professional.

Solid module with difficult installation

By Simon from CHICAGO, IL

Reading some of the other reviews regarding Temple Modules and having installed some plates I was careful not to strip screws and over tighten anything when installing the AC mains module. You definitely want to remove the side panel from the board which requires removing the two rubber feet as well as the handle. I couldn't remove the handle. Even with a small phillips head screwdriver there was no straight angle to the screws underneath. I would recommend modding a socket wrench with a phillips head bit if you have the tools to do so. Instead I just took the included mod driver and guided the module along the inside screw and carefully and slowly set it in. After some careful fumbling I got it relative set and screwed in the other side and gently tugged the module around to see if there was any wiggle. So far none and installation is a relative success. Highly recommend making sure you can remove the side panel first before you order. It will make your life so much easier.

This is a great addition to a Temple Audio board. Perfect power supply feed and the switch is cool. This is over priced but the quality and fit are very good. You MUST remove the side panel to install this without going insane - trust me! Would purchase again 10/10.

Best way ever to get external power to your pedal power supplies. I have two mounted under my board. Plugged a Y connector into this and each end to my power sources. This thing also has a switch too so after you plug a source into it, flip the switch and your board will light up.

By Pete from Carmel, IN

It's expensive, but it's well designed and the switch is definitely very handy.

The screws are very light duty so I'm worried that repeated unplugging/plugging will cause problems, thankfully I keep it at home so I won't have to worry about hard use.

Great Module

By Ty

This thing is undoubtedly a little pricey for what it is - a glorified extension adapter. You could get by without it, but the whole appeal of Temple Audio pedalboards is the side connectivity. Therefore, this is a must-have in my opinion. I actually bought three of these to go with three pedalboards for acoustic, electric, and bass guitars at our church. I wanted to simplify the setup process for each of those instruments by building a pedalboard with all the labeled connections on the side, enabling virtually anyone to make the basic connections to set it up. This serves that purpose well and I love the integrated power switch switch. I plugged this into a Walrus Audio power supply and it works great.

A few tips:

This comes with a small phillips screwdriver called the "moddriver." I highly recommend you use it vs. using another screwdriver. The tip is magnetic and it pairs exactly with the screws. Be sure to use the screws that come with this module when installing it in the pedalboard - the original ones that hold the knockout aren't long enough to fit through the holes in this adapter and thread into the side of the board.

As another reviewer stated, things are a lot easier if you remove the handle and the feet from the side of the board you're working with. You can get a better view and angle on the screws, which is important because they are small and would very easily strip out if you aren't careful. This may be obvious to some, but turning the screw backwards until it clicks and then tightening it is a great way to ensure you don't cross-thread it. I was hyper sensitive to the screws and gave special care when installing after reading other reviews, but if you're careful you shouldn't have a problem.

By Thom A. from TN

I was going to build one of these for less money, but decided to buy it because every other Temple Audio product I've purchased has been top notch. This was perfect for getting power to my Duo 24's CIOKS DC-7 power supply.
Word to the wise: To install this in your Temple Audio board, remove whatever side of the board you're installing this is in so you'll have unfettered access to the rear screw. Otherwise, you'll need be inventing new curse words!

Worth the wait, with excellent customer service

By Christopher from Texas

This particular module was on backorder for a while, and though not 100% necessary to use my recently assembled Temple Audio Trio 28 board - it was a desired piece. I did not have any issues with the unit some reported as far as dead on arrival. The unit makes a cleaner UI for the board and less stressful powerup/power downs using the integrated switch (reported as defective on some older units). I did have an issue with the mounting screws which passed quality control - but did not have any Philips head depth in the head of the screw for proper tightening. Sweetwater provided assistance by reaching out to Temple Audio, who promptly followed up and sent out a replacement hardware pack for the entire board assembly. Kudos to Sweetwater for the great service, in spite of the long wait due to supply chain issues due to the pandemic.

Great Module, but "Assembly Required"

By Nicholas G. from Seattle, Washington

Great little module that keeps your pedalboard tidy by plugging in your IEC power cable to the side, and routing that power to your supply underneath. I knew when I got my Templeboard that this would be the first of the modules that I would get. The switch is nice, too.

...Aaaaaaand the installation was annoying. Like everyone else, I tried every method of getting that tiny screw to thread into its hole in that spot in the back of the board where you can't see. The thin screwdriver provided is a kind gesture from Temple Audio but I just couldn't get the job done without completely removing the side. I made sure to screw it down tight, but not *too* tight. Getting the side back on is more difficult than taking it off, mostly because the bottom flange blocks you from getting a straight angle to reinstall the handles. You'll know what I'm talking when you see it. But the entire process took about ten minutes, so I'm not complaining too much.

If you've got a Templeboard, you should have the IEC module. Honestly, it would be great if new Templeboards just had this pre-installed, or if they offered it as an option.

Great for "stationary" use, not for travel.

By Randy

I have 2 Temple boards and this module makes a nice on/off switch for the board that stays put. But the board that gets frequently plugged/unplugged is a different story. The module is held by 2 extremely short screws so even if you don't strip them, over time they will loosen. Big deal, you say, use a drop of Loctite. This assures the module won't fall out entirely, but over time, something within the module gets loose and even with tight screws, the thing wobbles and looses contact. (By the way, don't even think of installing one of these without removing side panel of your board--and go carefully with the screws! If it feels like they're cross threading, they probably are.) Honestly, Temple Audio should include a tube of hard to find Purple Loctite so you can secure this thing properly but still remove it if you need to.

In a studio, this makes for a clean, convenient upgrade. But if you're going to gig with your board, plug and unplug, it's too good to be true. Remove the IEC module and pass a short extension cord through the hole.

Functions beautifully. Great usability upgrade. They don't make a version with a standard 110 female end so a standard 1Spot power supply can be used. So, I had to cut the plug off and install a new one. Not a big deal, but another few bucks on top of the already high cost.

Good for stationary boards

By Sweetwater Customer

My Board doesn't move from place to place too often, so it's really nice to be able to just hit the switch to turn it off. I have my power unit mounted under the board, so this makes it easier to connect/disconnect the power from the side of the board rather than from the unit it. Only con is the price. I guess that depends on how you value convenience.

If you have a Temple Audio board get this

By Robert S. from Waco, TX
Music Background: Guitar for 20 years (on/off)

This makes getting my pedal board situated so much easier. I really like the on/off switch, because my pedal board stays in my room and some lights flash even when the pedal is turned off. If you have a Temple Audio board, do yourself a favor and get this.

I rated 4 stars because the screws look a little sketchy. I'm worried that by pushing on it over and over inserting the power cable that they'll just push out. They need longer screws, not much thread actually grabs. Lastly it's not easy to install unless you take the side plate off of the board.

Works, but mounting hardware subpar

By Nathan M. from Indiana
Music Background: hobbyist

I've had it about a year now. Gentle home use, but the screws that hold this in have already failed. The plug/switch still work, but it gets pushed under the board with even a small amount of pressure. I was able to rethread one of the screws, but the second seems like the threads are stripped.

For what this cost, it really should include longer screws for mounting to the board. There's only enough room for a couple of threads to grab.

Great addition to an already great pedal board

By Sweetwater Customer

This is a must have if you are planning on using this board. Well worth the additional price as it couldn't be easier to set up your power supply underneath. It's especially nice if you have everything in your home studio, you don't need to unplug it every time you're done playing, just hit the switch. Temple has a great video for install, I suggest taking the side mount off entirely for any installations, it is much easier.

Just what I needed.

By John from KC
Music Background: 15 Years of Saxophone and 2 years guitar.

This is a really nice addition to my pedal board. I like not having to reach under the board or behind a bunch of stuff to unplug the power supply when not in use. My only complaint with this is how difficult it is to get the plug screwed into the board. You have to put the screw in first, then hope you hold it at exactly the right angle while you finagle the thing into place. Took me about 20 minutes and alot of frustration to finally get the screw in by the front of the pedal board. I tried the other way first, but then I couldn't even get to the front screw. Overall, as long as this holds up I won't have any issues with it and recommend it to anyone with a Temple Audio board.

Aside from being a little tight, space-wise, for installing on the TempleAudio Pedalboards, this is a really awesome feature. I haven’t put up to any extended live-show tests yet, but it seems very durable in the studio. Nice addition to my DUO 34

By Jon

I've been using a Temple Audio DUO 34 board for over a year now. I finally purchased the IEC AC mains micro module and I wish I had done so earlier. I have a TrueTone CS6 mounted under the board on the cross support beam (in the middle of the board). I was concerned that the cord for this module would not be long enough. I am please to report, that when I mounted the module, the cord was plenty long enough to reach my power supply (there is even still some slack cable). Installation was fairly easy. I did end up removing the side of the board to install the module, as my board is fully populated with pedals. Watch their installation video on YouTube. The screws are small, be careful. It comes with a long, narrow screw driver too that can allow you to install the module without removing the side panel of your board.
