Whatever the format of your project — from stereo and surround to binaural, Dolby Atmos, Auro 3D, Sony 360 Reality Audio, Spatial Audio, or even raw Ambisonics — MIR Pro 3D supports it. Within the gorgeous new 3D graphics interface, you’ll relish the unfettered freedom to move instruments, virtual microphones, and mic capsules freely in a three-dimensional space and tilt and rotate them in any orientation.
Superior spatial imaging via 3rd Order Ambisonics
Higher Order Ambisonics (HOA) technology is employed throughout the entire MIR Pro 3D signal path to deliver more natural sounding results with superior spatial enveloping and localization. All the existing MIR Pro RoomPack venues have been upscaled to the HOA specification by way of a proprietary method developed by the internationally renowned Institute of Electronic Music and Acoustics at the University of Music and Performing Arts Graz, one of the worldwide centers of Ambisonics research.
Spacial freedom: tabbed venues
With MIR Pro 3D’s tabbed venues, you can instantiate multiple ambiences simultaneously, drag and drop instruments or even entire orchestras from one hall to another, or deploy different setups of the same room concurrently. Seem complicated? Relax: MIR Pro 3D’s “Roles” assignment feature keeps the process smart and streamlined. Whatever ambience you can dream up, MIR Pro 3D makes it easy to realize. VSL MIR Pro 3D is also a sophisticated tool for creating immersive mixes from stereo sources or complete mixes.
Improved Preset management
Vienna Symphonic Library packed MIR Pro 3D with a bounty of amazing presets — and the new Preset manager makes auditioning and nailing what you want a piece of cake. You can use the production-ready factory presets as is or create your own setups, switching between them seamlessly, or mix and match selected instruments easily using their Roles handles. Pre-configured Venue Presets make simple work of setting up your instruments quickly and flawlessly.
