The SD Systems LDM94 lavalier microphone gives you all the features that brass and horn players demand. We've been asked a lot at Sweetwater for a horn mic that allows for adjustment and is straightforward and easy to use. The LDM94 answers the call. Its integrated tripod shockmount system is adjustable to allow optimal positioning of the mic without handling noise. And its direct XLR out lets performing with the LDM94 be as easy as plugging and playing.

SD Systems LDM94 Lavalier Microphone at a Glance:
  • High SPL handling
  • Integrated shockmount
  • Direct XLR output
High SPL level handling

Saxophones and other brass instruments need a mic that can perform at extremely high sound pressure levels. For those instruments, the SD Systems LDM94 is a great fit. This lavalier can withstand high SPL situations with ease, handling up to 155 dB.

Direct XLR output

One of the most attractive benefits of using the LDM94 is the direct XLR output, allowing you to go right to the mixer. Now you can get a full sound from your lavalier mic without the expense of an external preamplifier. Just take the output of the LDM94 and go straight to your system's input. It's that simple.

Integrated shockmount

The LDM94 connects to your bell with an integrated tripod style shockmount system that can be adjusted to place the mic in the exact center of your bell. Get silent, shock-free performance from the LDM94!

SD Systems LDM94 Lavalier Microphone Features:
  • Lavalier mic designed specifically for loud horns
  • Hi SPL handling is perfect for horns used in loud environments
  • Shockmount offers shock-free performance
  • Direct XLR ouput does away with the need for an external preamp
  • Great on sax, trumpet, trombone, and more
  • Low-profile black design

SD Systems LDM-94W

I bought this system for my saxophone player who also sings but had difficulty aligning with a conventional mic when sudden change from vocals to sax required, resulting in some "dead" notes during the transition. This system has eliminated that problem plus has result in a much better reproduction of sound from the sax everywhere from the subtle smooth throaty lows to the piercing highs. Awesome system.
