Amazing
This guitar has awesome playability. The electronics are solid, the hardware is quality, the neck is smooth, it's lightweight and sounds so great.
On top of all that Sweetwater has the best customer service. I'm so proud of this guitar. If I hadn't paid for it myself I wouldn't believe how low the price tag was.
I opened it up and saw quality soldering work.
This thing is amazing and I plan on buying another Jackson from sweetwater very soon.
Great guitar
Don't let the low price fool ya,this axe rocks and has features of expensive guitars.
Beautiful blue
This has to be the prettiest guitar I have ever laid my eyes on. The ice blue is amazing...I about had a cow when I opened the box when it arrived...pictures do not do it justice ...plus it has fantastic action....Love this guitar
Best Guitar Under $400
If you're comparing this with other Jacksons and worried that it's too cheap -this is the way to go unless you're stepping up to the $400 level. The action is perfect. The tone is good. I wish I had this thing back in highschool.
A Great Value!
I was pleasantly surprised at how nice this guitar is. It plays great and fit and finish is awesome. Especially for this price point. More expensive guitars aren't this nice out of the box.
My first guitar with Sweetwater.
You can't go wrong, with this beautiful metallic blue Jackson JS22. You get one fine musical instrument for the buck that's for sure.
Amazing!!!
To be honest, I don't have a lot of guitar experience. I'm relatively new to the field, but I absolutely love this guitar. The actual guitar is a little darker than shown. I paired it with a vypyr x1 and it sounds so good! If you're looking for a guitar to jam with or learn on, choose this one. I showed it to a friend of mine who's been playing almost 40 years, and he almost fell over when he heard how much I spent. According to him, it looks like something you can get for $500. He may be exaggerating, but idk. The one critique I have is that when I'm playing quick on the high e, my hands hits the volume knob and slowly turns it down until I can't hear it, but I have big hands so it's not the manufacturer's fault. I already named mine Alan.
Looks great . Neck and fingerboard are awesome. Sounds good. .
This guitar has a good neck, fingerboard, and frets that are not usually found on budget guitars. Feels great. Frets are jumbo and well polished. Binding on the edge of fingerboard is nice. Set up is good out of the box. Jackson pickups are hot and sound good clean or with distortion. Volume and tone controls are responsive. The body paint is flawless. The tuners are adequate, but I probably will upgrade. Strap buttons are large.
Great Guitar. Great Price
If you are looking for a highly playable guitar, built for metal, and at a fantastic price this is it! It has become my favorite guitar over my higher end ones. This will make a great secondary guitar or a primary guitar if you are playing mostly drop tunings. Do NOT let the price fool you. This is an absolutely great guitar.
Awesome out of the box!!
Read good reviews from other customers, heard good things about Sweetwater, now, after placing and receiving my very first order, I completely understand why. My guitar was perfect right out of the box, literally. It arrived on time, in 3 very well packed boxes, guitar is equally beautiful to play and look at. Just barely had to tune it and the action and intonation was spot on. I could not be happier with my purchase and first experience ordering from Sweetwater, I will be ordering again. A new life long customer. Much thanks to Chris Goldbach and everyone at Sweetwater.
Insane for the price
Bought this just to be my project guitar and it became one of my favorites for heavy/noise/shoegaze. I modded mine quite a bit just because I like modding, but this guitar is a steal by default.

My goodness!
Ok, as an owner of 2 fabulous schecters that both play and sound like butter, but if this Jackson gets less than 5 stars then they're trying to stroke their ego. I was looking at a Solar without FR because I need to be able to change tune quickly. My others have FR so no retuning on the fly. Needed a solid cheap guitar. A friend told me about the jackson and said go try it out. I did and I bought it. At worst it needs better tuners. Show me a better $ guitar and
I'll by it too.
Great guitar!!
This is my first electric guitar and I love it! The blue is gorgeous!!! Sweetwater never disappoints with their customer service!! For the price it it's the perfect guitar with great tone! Out of the box it's good to go. I would recommend to anyone. If you are going to do any drop tuning I'd recommend heavier strings. Super easy to play. The only thing I wish was better about the guitar is the tuners, but for the price it can't be beat. One day I'll install better tuners and some better pickups. Overall an amazing guitar to rock out with!
Plays Well. Good Guitar Indeed
After installing a D'Addario locking strap I stretched the strings and took the Jackson JS22 thru the paces.
I was pleasantly surprised the neck felt so smooth. I conditioned the fretboard with linseed oil the next day.
A few days later I added my initials to the front of the guitar (a-la SRV) with ease and cleaned and polished the frets. Sweet. Later in the week I used Lemoil (from Australia) by Stuart Box to clean the neck.
While the strings settled in on my Blue JS22 I was playing my Goldtop Epiphone '56 reissue Les Paul for a few days. Last night I picked up my JS22 and had a blast putting it thru the paces again. It's great. It's giving the Goldtop a run for it's money. I'm considering upgrading to Jackson locking tuners. Everything about this guitar from the pickups to the neck to the paint to the setup make it fun to play. Love it.
Awesome Experience!
Let's face it, we don't get out much anymore. This pandemic has me stuck at home all the time. And let's face it. I can buy a new guitar or a strap anywhere. Buying from Sweetwater is fun though! I always get a call from my personal sales representative, Cameron, and he cares that the experience of buying new gear is as great as the gear itself. Everything is carefully packed for shipping and my new gear arrives in about two days. Sweetwater makes being stuck at home a bit easier.
This Guitar Rocks!!!!!!!!!!!
opened the box, first reaction, killer looking axe, tuned it up, this guitar rocked from the box, played for 2 hours and it screamed no matter what i played, thanks to Nick Beach, always helpful and he goes the extra mile to see you get the gear you need. nick always calls and checks in to see how im doing, and how my gear is holding up, Nick and Sweetwater top of the class A list every time. i would give you a platinum award Nick but i am out of plaques and trophies at the moment lol. you would be foolish not to get all your music gear from Sweetwater, i have been with them many years and will continue to be a faithful shopper here, always a win win. i have been playing about 40 years, trust me this guitar will not let you down, try it and you will rock forever , \m/
Great Guitar
Made my family buy this for me for Father's Day:) Was not expecting much for the price, but what a surprise, awesome guitar - would highly recommend it. And as always SweetWater service was top notch, they verified it would arrive one time, which it did - and kept me informed along the way. Always wanted a more hard rock guitar to play 80's rock and this was it. Pairs perfectly with my Marshall tube amp which I also bought online with SweetWater!
Worth every penny
Could not have made a better choice. Guitar came vary well packaged and was on time. Action on guitar was spot on and so easy to play, I do believe that Jackson Guitar will be my Guitar of choice from now on. Also Keith call me to thank me and to see if there was any problems or if I had any issues to give him a call. I have talk to Keith a few times and feel like he is more of a friend then a sales person. Thanks again Keith. God Bless
It is a good product.
The guitar is a amazing product. It feels like heaven to play, the action is amazing. It sounds good in most amps, and good with distortion. It looks amazing too. Overall it really is a great product and I do recommend.
Great guitar for a littel price!
There are many things to love about this guitar:
1. playable - the action is very nice, and it has a thin neck for those with smaller hands (mine are not small, though, and I could still play it easily)
2. great sound - it has a nice tone and great pickups (meaning they are LOUD without sacrificing tone quality)
3. stays in tune reasonably well - any guitar with a whammy bar is going to have some tuning issues, but - even without locking nuts - this one stays in tune (although I wouldn't recommend a whole lot of Steve Vai-type dive bombing with your bar until the last song of the set so you can tune up in the break)
4. light weight - this guitar is not going to break your shoulder in the course of an evening
It is a great gigging guitar for casual gigs (like in a small club or similar venue) where you don't want to take your $4,000 Paul Reed Smith guitar, essentially. I'm glad I grabbed this one, and would recommend it to all beginning players, for sure.
Wicked Sustain :)
First I would like to give a special thanks to Jason Martins, who helped through every aspect of my purchase and delivery of my new guitar, the guitar arrived very quickly as I followed it's every movement with the tracking number provided by the Sweetwater team.
You are in good hands all the way with the Sweewater team, and FedEx delivered it in perfect condition right to my door step, even all three of the boxes were in perfect condition, yes, it was in three boxes :)
And as for the guitar, "WOW!!!!", the sustain on this guitar is wicked, I have always been a big George Lynch fan and he is the guy that has shaped my playing style and this guitar can take it all from pinch harmonics to crazy dive bombs, in fact this is the best playing guitar that I have ever played period.
It came in standard tune and ready to play already intonated, I always have to set new guitars up again any way because I play at 432 hz instead of 440 hz but this is my personal choice but since we are talking about choices, if you pick Sweetwater for your' next choice to purchase a guitar you can not go wrong with these people.
P.S. Thanks again sweetwater team.
Jackson dinky
Killer guitar feels awesome in your hand and plays beautiful sounds great and the price is killer I bought 2 of them there my everyday players and they can take a beating cuz I play hard and fast and they hold up and stay in tune even when beating on the whammy bar all in all killer guitars
Liszt bee clear; best nut I've EVER seen!
$ what do you want? This product my friend bought, no exp. just my luck. Me, I've got years collecting, doing upgrades, I'm telling ya, the nut, the action, perfection! Neck feels satin and slim "D", made me sick, thinking how many hours trying to perfect my skills at what for two hundred dollars, he gets for his 1st experience! P/U's are what one should expect. Tuners too, but they feel solid, no issues. Oh! Almost forgot, the backplate to cavity tolerance was so tight, there's no room to prise it off! Had to us dental instrument through screw-hole to get it free. Flawless tolerance. Fit & finish are easily above its cost-point. Simple controls, but function, appearance, w/o faults. How they have improved since my youth, the basic neck/body alone are worth the price, change out everything else should you desire you'll still have a very usable tool in either case. I am impressed "Jackson Guitar Co."™
Great guitar
I really like this Guitar fast neck; tremolo is spot on and the pickups are HOT! the problem I had would not stay in tune so bought a new set of tuners and replaced the factory ones and set it on fire.
Great metal guitar
Definitely a well crafted guitar, has the feel of an Ibanez but has less power to it and also whenever using the whammy bar, it tends to go out of tune a bit. The color of the body is nice and metallic looking and the neck is nice and smooth feeling. It's a good starter guitar or a good cheap guitar if you don't want to break your bank.
Good for what it is
This guitar is alright, it did ship with the nut not cut enough, which was causing some major fret buzz, but I compensated this by raising the saddles a bit, I will eventually get some nut files or go to a guitar tech to get the nut properly cut. Also after a few months of using the trem regularly, the nut has started to come off, so right now I'm just running it with the trem slammed to the body, but besides that it is a good guitar, if you are a lead player I would recommend upgrading to a JS32 with the floyd.
