HX amp, cab, and effects modeling
At the core of Helix Native is Line 6's HX modeling engine. Representing a giant leap forward in guitar technology, HX reproduces every minute detail that goes into a great amplifier, cabinet, and effect. Every single factor has been taken into account, down to an amplifier's power supply ripple and tube sag, ensuring you receive an ultra-realistic playing feel and experience. The classic bloom and compression of some amps and the powerful punch of others are all faithfully accounted for. Plus, you can also load custom impulse responses to personalize your tone.
Find your tone in no time
One of the things that separates Line 6's Helix technology from a world of alternative modeling options is its fast, intuitive, and player-friendly workflow. Line 6 has kept that at the forefront of their minds when engineering Helix Native. Just like on the hardware units, you simply click on what you want, adjust some sliders to tweak the tone to taste, and you're up and running. Even with all the power under the hood and a world of options awaiting us, Sweetwater guitarists were blown away with how intuitive Helix Native is.
Effortless hardware integration
After you're done tracking your songs or perfecting your tone, you're able to quickly and easily transfer your sounds into your Helix floor unit or Helix Rack. This allows you to take your exact studio tones onstage for an authentic-sounding performance. And if you need to take your tones to other studios for additional tracking, your sounds are already dialed in and waiting for you. With all the convenience-centered features in Helix Native, this is just one more way to make your playing, tracking, and tonal experience better than ever.
Get creative with Helix effects in your DAW
Line 6 clearly created the HX modeling engine for use with guitar and bass, and Helix Native is ideal for recording and reamping. However, when you take these same amazing effects and apply them to the rest of your tracks, you can create astonishing sounds you never expected. Throw Helix Native on a synth track and start tweaking modulation effects for extremely cool sonic textures, beef up your drums with distortion and dynamics, or apply gentle amp modeling to your vocals for the perfect touch of color. Plus you can use the EQs, compressors, and reverbs on anything and get great results. Once you start exploring the creative possibilities, you'll be blow away by how versatile this plug-in can be.
Powerful IR-based speaker cab engine…and more!
With the Helix 3.50 software update, you get a completely overhauled, IR-based speaker cabinet engine. Not only do you receive 20 guitar cabs and four bass cabs, but you can also choose between 12 microphones, with fully adjustable angles, positions, and distances in relation to the cabs. Best of all, you can drag the virtual mics around for spot-on placement, just like you would in the real world. Helix's 3.50 "The Cab Update" also includes five new amp models, seven new effects, a Dual IR block, and more.
