Love this stuff

I've tried all kinds of "gadgets" to help me stop dropping picks. I should have just got some of this in the first place. Works great for me. I just need a little dab and it does what it's supposed to do. It's a small container that should last a long time.

Made me 2x better at drums

I've played drums for 13 years and have always struggled holding onto my sticks. I had no idea how big of a deal it was until I tried Gorilla Snot. When you don't have a death grip on the drumsticks it frees up so much energy and movement in your upper body it is astonishing. If you have ever had trouble holding your sticks I would highly recommend this product, it honestly blew my mind.

I like Gorilla Snot!

It's a very light pine scent and seems a little sticky or tacky when you first put it on your fingers. But when you get it rubbed in, it isn't sticky. It is very nice for holding on to your sticks. I mainly bought a few for the guitarists in the group as a fun little gift for the good job they do. They all like it.

Gorilla Snot

This is a awesome product and really helps you to hold on to your pick. Just the tiniest bit rubbed on to your index finger and your good to go. I have to give Sweetwater alot of respect, they actually carry it but was sold out.
I was told they would send it when it came in. I love the stuff and said I'd pay the shipping , but they said no problem. Today I got it in the mail. Good job Sweetwater!

There's a Secret to Using this Stuff!

Being a 60+ year player, full time pro and now retired casuals, I used to use this stuff in the 70's and 80's. I quit using it because it tended to leave deposits on the strings. My bad. I was too young and dumb to realize a LITTLE bit goes a LONG way! I've always had trouble with pick rotation because I use a hard stroke when putting out choppy rhythm chording or switching to leads. I've never found a really good solution to this issue. I have tried sandpaper glued to the pick, spraying them with adhesive (works good for a while but builds up on pick), buying "traction" designed picks, scoring them with a knife, etc. Some worked better than others, but none really solved the problem. On a wild hare, I looked up Gorilla Snot to see if they still sell it. Sweetwater does! I read a review about a player who warned to use only a light amount rubbed between the thumb and index finger and THEN hold the pick. Made sense, since I used to use a LOT of the stuff thinking more was better. Wrong. As soon as I received my order, I trotted out my favorite but hard to keep from rotating pick...the legendary Jazz Pick. It was an epiphany. I could totally relax my grip on the pick, which rendered faster, more articulate technique, and the pick stayed put. So now I'm a fan of the gunk. Sweetwater was most helpful with a phone follow-up after my order arrived to see if I was happy with the product. Used them for years and have NEVER regretted a purchase from them!
Music background: Former full time pro and now just casual gigs, parties & occasional clubs.
