I'm sure the other reviewers here probably think that i'm crazy, but i've been using Ahead grip tape to compliment my Ahead sticks for years. I also wear drummer's gloves (not Ahead anymore) along with using this grip tape and I have no problems at all. The tape lasts forever and I feel in total control of my sticks.

This product has a paper like feel to me--I was expecting the old Vater 'tacky' texture--so this is quite different. I'll update my review if the experience is better--after extended use. Probably wouldn't buy it again at this time.

I was fooled by the different Looking Pictures of AHEAD Grip Tape online, A Guitar Center Employee and I both Thought they offered 2 Types- A Flat almost Eletrical Tape Style and a More Leatherey Style which is what I tried to order. They only offer/sell one Style and it is Terrible! I use AHEAD Drumsticks all the Time, but this Grip Tape is literally almost Paper Thin, Has one Tiny Adhesive Spot to Start The Wrap and a Tiny little AHEAD Sticker To Finish- Seriously?? I didn't even try to wrap my Sticks because I would have ended up with more frustration from the Wrap Moving and Falling off in the First Song of a Rehearsal-
VERDICT: VERY POORLY MANUFACTURED ITEM. SHOULD BE RE-CALLED and RE-MADE.
