Beyond good
This soft case is so good. Excellent fuzzy insides that keep my mando secure. Extra pockets. It is very light and very sturdy. It is excellent. Max Rapp helped me pick it. It was a fantastic value.
Great Gig Bag
As a retired chaplain that plays in assisted living homes I need lightweight quality cases to lug my instruments. My Weber fits and I have confidence that regardless of my clumsy style nothing will happen to that instrument.
Sturdy, Lightweight, and Good Price
You get alot of bang for you buck on this one. My wife bought me a Fender PM-180E for my birthday. I love it and wanted something better to haul it around in that a cheap gig bag. I found this and knew it'd be perfect. It fits my Fender mandolin like a glove. You'd think it was made just for it. It looks great. Very well built. I keep my tuner and picks in the inside compartment and my extra strings in one of the outside pockets. My mandolin stays in tune better now that the tuning knows are adequately protected. Couldn't be happier with my purchase!
Nice gig bag
Nicely padded, plenty of storage with good protection for taking a tablet or other accessories to the gig. Secure but still good access for unpacking and packing your instrument.
Great Case
This mandolin case is my third Gator gig product and I love it! Safe storage, easy to use and maintains humidity better than its original hard shell case. Plenty of inside storage space for mando strap, tuner, humidifier… outside pocket for iPad, song sheets, performance agreements… Love it
Great Case
Have a $4k mando. I use this case for rehearsal. It would work on the road, too. But I use an ATA for that. I needed something secure and light so I can carry my fiddle case and mando case together. Lots of storage on the outside. Enough storage inside.
You have to be careful returning it to or taking it from the case. The lid is heavy (especially if you have something in the outside pocket) and will fall back if you have it on a table or the top of an amp. This is not a deal breaker. -Bill
It's just ok
It is sturdy on the outside and will take some abuse. I was surprised that on the inside, there was not much softer padding. The liner material(inside) is soft but directly under that it's the harder molded foam. If I had been able to see it first I probably would not have bought it but could not find any store near me that had one on display so had to buy it on line. I do like the big zippered pouch on the outside that can store some papers or extra strings.I'll probably replace it once I find a better case with better padding inside. If you don't take your mandolin out to gigs very often then this case is ok otherwise I'd look for something that has better inside padding.
Great Quality affordable case.
It's material and stitching provides a long lasting quality case to protect your instrument.
Great gigable case
Got this in conjunction with the Gator Transit Acoustic gig bag with the plan to carabiner it to the d-rings on the top of the Acoustic so I'd have one bundle to carry on acoustic gigs... Mission accomplished! It holds either my Washburn Timeless Celtic or my Breedlove and is lightweight enough that, combined with the acoustic, it's still easily portable. It is solid enough that only a serious crush would differentiate it from a full hard-case.
Great Case!
This mandolin case is super lightweight but a solid case. My Ibanez A style acoustic/electric fits like the case was made specifically for it. It may not make it through the airport "demolition crew", but it will handle most anything alse.
A great case for most mandolins I'd say. I recommend it.
Great for Camp
I got this as a back strap equipped gig bag for my mandolin. I already have the OEM hard case, but the music camp I'm going to recommended gig bags for my instruments. This provides very secure support for the mandolin and all the straps and handles you could need to carry it. There is a nice sized zippered pouch on the outside of the case that fits spare strings, a small tuner and even a small mandolin stand. There is an addition net pocket on the outside of the pouch, but this is where it lost a star. The net pocket is not securely sew down all around and stuff can fall out because of this.
Great case for local gigs
Exactly what I was looking for, to use with local gigs and jams: light weight, protection for bumps and weather, pockets for extra stuff, and fits my Weber F style mando, like a glove
