Amazing KT88

Got this excellent matched set. After 24 - 40 hours of break in. The sound perfect. Clean detailed warm tone just beautiful. Using this in my hifi power amp. Very natural sounding. Not sure how this sounds in a guitar power amp i don't have any with kt88. But best deal from Sweetwater. There customer support is amazing and shout out to my rep Michael who has been extremely helpful caring and always gives me updates on my orders and follow ups!

Best KT88's on the market

Look no further. These tubes have a reputation and for good reason. I have installed them on my old Splawn and KSR. Big difference. More thump, percussion and clarity.

Smooth and Warm

I previously had tung sol 6550 power tubs in my Black ICE integrated amp . They sounded OK, but there was this glassy glare I did not like. The bass has very good low end grunt. I just couldn't get pass the glassy glare. Tried the Kt88 and the glare was all gone. These have very good bass as well, but not sure it if grunts as low as the 6550. The Gold Lion have nice warm midrange while still having nice highs. It's a very balanced tube. Has very good punch to the bass. So I traded some low end grunt for punchy bass. I much prefer the sound of the Gold Lions
