King of the 2-Bus

I bought this unit with the intention of throwing on my mix bus after my SSL Fusion, and what a wonderful match it is! The controls are super easy to use like any SSL unit, always extremely easy to dial in the results I'm looking for. I never feel held back or that my options to use this unit are limited.

I've tried many other VCA/Bus compressors but none of them have been able to match the energy, life, and cleanliness of the SSL G Comp. I typically run my entire mixes through one, with very light compression, to really push the material forward without completely destroying my dynamics. This results in a very upfront sound with a very wide stereo presentation. The tone this compressor imparts into a mix can not be replicated with any other unit or plugin. Do yourself a favor, and just drop the money on this.
