I bought this case from Sweetwater 3 years ago.It was actually on sale and got a great deal.Its a great case.Fits my Guild D 25 perfectly.Like I said in the title its solid and well made and looks good.Its held up with really no signs of wear for over 3 years now.

The two haves of the case don't line up, the latch near the handle doesn't want to latch, it takes a little work to get the latch to close. It does its job, but not worthy of the $ price tag.

My guitar fits well in the case. Snug but not tight. The inner compartment is well padded and plush. The ABS outter will most likely take a beating. I feel like my guitar is well protected in the case.

I do have issues latching the case from time to time. I don't know why, but the case doesn't line up every once in a while. You've gotta line up the latch to get it to close.

All in all, it's a decent case w a few glitches. I've only had it a few weeks so we'll see what the longevity is like.

I bought this Gator case out of necessity. It was for a guitar that was nice enough to warrant a hard shell case. The construction of the case is well made. It gives great protection and fits like a glove. Granted there's better quality out there but those who are on a budget this case is great choice. As usual, shopping at Sweetwater is the best place to go for ALL of your musical needs. A shout out to Brian Lemert for his kindness and guidance. I'm a Sweetwater customer for life!

Contacted Joel at sweetwater looking for a hard case for my Fender CD-60S all mahogany guitar. This case was one of the cases he suggested. It fits the guitar perfectly. Very sturdy and well made. Really plush and cushioning inside with a nice accessory compartment.

The case fits the guitar very snugly which is good. No wiggle but room to keep the strap attached. The clasps on the other hand are terrible. Even though they appear to line up, it is a little tricky to get the loop over the mating piece so it can be latched. It may work in, and to be honest I haven't really looked closely to determine exactly what is interfering with what, but for $ I shouldn't have to.

The desciption says it all. This is a great case and perfect fit my guitar. Great value.

This is the second one of these I have. It is a good sturdy case and not horribly expensive. A good instrument needs a good case, and here you go.

Too long for Martin 11e but a piece of foam at end of case works. My gripe is that it is kind of a clam shell fit which doesn't go together very well, also seems a bit pricey for a plastic case from China.

to ask about it!!! Who does that? Great customer service experience, and a top-notch product line will make me a repeat customer.

The most important thing is that my Sire A4 Grand Auditorium (GA) (with cutaway) is slightly wider at the bulge in the bottom width of the guitar compared to a typical dreadnaught acoustic. After much research, I found even the Sire softshell case is TOO small for the Sire A4 Grand auditorium body width across it's widest point. I returned a couple of different cases to Sweetwater (which they did with VERY little issue). TBH, it was probably me that didn't realize the dreadnaught version of the acoustic is slightly narrower in width compared to the GA.

Bottom line: The gator cases I've owned in the past have ALL been great for the price. I paid about $150 for this one, and it fits and seems to be very high quality. I don't gig anymore, so I can't give you a review of how it would handle an actual 3 month tour with roadies handling it. I just don't have that experience anymore. My positive recommendation for this case simply comes from the fit, the initial quality, the reasonable price, and the piece of mind to feel your acoustic is protected. Also, I buy from Sweetwater because they have made it SUPER EASY to end up with the right piece of equipment. Their customer service doesn't suck.

I just recieved the case today (9-6-22). I can only give you my initial impressions along with how it fits my Sire A4 Ga acoustic and initial quality/looks. The case feels very solid and of quality contruction. I would expect it to be very durable, as other reviewers have said. So far, the case, latches, and interior look to be well worth the $ price.

My biggest concern was whether it would fit my Sire Larry Carlton A4 GA acoustic. This case fits "almost" perfectly. The "certified fit" at Sweetwater is definitely what you should follow. I purchased 2 cases before this and both of them were too narrow in the bottom girth of the Sire A4 GA (which is almost 16" inches). Even Sire's "acoustic" gig bag was TOO tight for this GA. The gig bag from Sire is exceptional quality, super padded, etc. It just won't zip up around the A4 GA girth. It's just too narrow.

Bottom Line: Don't waste your time finding a case for the Sire A4 GA. This one fits the body girth perfectly, with a small amount of "play" at the top of the body cavity...maybe 1 inch. Put a sock in it, and you should be good for anything less than a plane crashing into your bus, or a girlfriend throwing it out your BMW at 60 mph, or (fill in the blank)...good times.

Mostly, I just don't have to worry about it, no matter what.

I bought this for my Godin 5th Avenue...and it fits great. Exterior is done very nice, seems very durable. I gave it a half star off because a little bit of the carpet inside is not holding as it should. But other than that, its just what I was looking for.

I use this case pretty much exclusively for flying with my guitar. On my last trip the baggage guys were rough enough with the case to put a serious dent into it and crack the plastic--it looks like they threw the case. Luckily my guitar inside was still in perfect condition, and the break in the plastic is small enough that the case is still good to go. This case did its job perfectly and protected my guitar!

Overall, it's a good case and fits my Takamine great. But, the latches are a little small and sharp enough to cut a finger! Recommend spending the extra $ to get the TSA latches.

This case fit perfectly and is much better than the cheap cardboard like case that came originally with the guitar. Connor Smith was super helpful by asking the dimensions and researching to make sure the fit would be good. If you need anything from Sweetwater, Connor Smith is your man to get you what you need!

The case itself is great quality, I trust Gator cases for almost all of my guitars. My only complaint is that it was listed as a certified fit for my Takamine 6 string, and it's very tight. Right enough to the point that I'm concerned about neck compression and eventually damaging the guitar, over time.

It's a good case and fits a GN51 just fine with very little shifting. Mine is a cut-away model, and I can see it would fit a non-cut-away model as well. I've looked it over and have used it and I am happy to report that the interior and the aluminum valance and the ABS shell and workmanship are a good value for the money. In the past year or so, I have also learned I like apple-flavored taffy. Banana not so much. If you believe it will fit your acoustic but had been unsure about buying the case, for my part I'd suggest you go ahead and get it. I am happy with mine.

I got this for a cutaway acoustic and I was worried about getting a case for a cutaway since I've heard some stories about guitars bouncing around in regular dreadnaught cases. My Sweetwater guy Robert recommended this one and not only was price great, but there's no guitar bouncing inside so it worked out for my cutaway. The fact I can lock it is also a great feature. Some people don't like others touching up their guitar. I'm one of them.

Not just for dreadnaught acoustics - I bought this for an Electra lawsuit copy of a Howard Roberts guitar. Fit was perfect and this case just oozes quality. Really well made and provides top notch protection. Thanks to Dontae Harris for his excellent service in finding a suitable case for me. Sweetwater is the best!!

I bought this for a Martin DX1K. It was matched with my guitar in Sweetwater's case finder. This case fits almost as it was made for this guitar. It is made out of ABS plastic, same as my whitewater canoes and kayaks. They are extremely durable.

I liked this case so much I bought two. I wanted something to protect my guitars against this fluctuating humid coastal Virginia climate. Fits both my Taylor 210ce and 214ce great. The 210 is a little longer and the arched Taylor headstock presses against the cushion at the top of the case a little, but it's no problem and the cushion molded and settled in over time to fit just right.

Alvarez guitar I've owned since 1977 fits perfect in this case. The case is very light weight but is built tough. Excellent case. I'm glad that after a lot of research I chose the Gator case.

Have to say this is the first time I'm not really happy with a Sweetwater purchase. Yes, the Breedlove guitar fits in the case, but it's almost too much case for the guitar. This case is exceptionally heavy and a just a bit too large for the concerto Breedlove that is living inside it. Much as I don't feel the Breedlove gig bag would do anything to really protect the guitar, this case is overkill for a relatively inexpensive guitar. My advice- shop around before you buy. There must be a less expensive option out there for the well-loved guitar.

Got my Yamaha with a gig bag, but it is going on a moving truck and I needed a hard-sided case. I logged into Sweetwater and it took (literally) a minute or less to find a case that fit. It arrived quickly, fits like a glove and solved the problem. Just...perfect.

This is a great case. Solid, perfect fit for my Yamaha FG830 Dreadnaught, as was promised. Sturdy hinges and handle, unlike my other Gator case. Should hold up to gigging. Smaller than desirable storage compartment, a minor complaint. Good value for the build, materials and price.

This case looks like it will hold up. My only and big disappointment was that it was made in China.

Tom Koch recommended this for my open box D'Angeloco arch top guitar, and it fits like a glove with no movement of the guitar. Good accessory storage compartments! I highly recommend.

According to Gator's and Sweetwater's websites, this case should fit the Seagull S6 original. The lid of the case I received does not close easily with my Seagull S6 original in it. The measurements of the guitar match what's on the websites; I think the issue may not be the depth of the guitar itself, but rather the foam that Gator puts in the top of the case that surrounds the strings along the body of the guitar. It seems that it's possible to compress the foam a little with my fingers, but it would be better not to have the hard foam in the top of the case at all. A snug fit in a case is good, but there is definitely resistance from the guitar when I try to close the case. I don't think it's possible to close the case with the guitar in it without potentially crunching the guitar at some point. Not good.

I have a Gator classical case for my classical guitar which does not have this issue (and is a great, sturdy case for that guitar); I don't feel like I am at risk of damaging my classical when I shut that case. Don't know if the issue with this dreadnought case is due to funky Seagull dimensions or what. But I regret the Gator purchase for my Seagull; it really does not fit properly. The old Takamine dreadnought case I got from the guitar shop where I got the Seagull fits it much better and without these issues. Should have left well enough alone!

Get rid of the old chipboard style case. These are built so much better. The price difference is minimal for the extra protection you get. Guitar fitment is perfect.

I wanted a hard case to protect my old acoustic - it had lived in its original chipboard case too long, and I was tired of babying the case and wanted to baby just the guitar. At GearFest a couple of summers ago I met Gator owner & president Crystal Morris; she and gear guru Dave showed me how to select the right case based on the measurements of my guitar (they've got a great online tool for that) and talked about their other products as well. I bought this case and my guitar fits in neatly and is well-protected. The case and hardware are sturdy and I expect them to last a long time.

I was so impressed with the case and with Crystal's willingness to spend time helping a customer (how many company presidents will spend the better part of an hour with a guy who just wants a guitar case?) that I've purchased several other Gator bags and cases since then. I bought this to protect my new Taylor Guitar I ordered from Sweetwater. Solid, rugged, durable on the outside. Soft and plush on the inside. Very high quality case and I've had many over the years... but this was my first gator. I chose this over a Taylor case because of the reviews I read about it.

The original case for my Martin D-35 cracked and fell apart from years in the road and dry rot when lived in New Mexico. My sales engineer, Patrick, recommended this case and as usual, was right on point.

I didn't find paying an additional $... for a Martin case worth it and this fits the bill. My only observation is that the area where the headstock fits is a bit shorter than the Martin case, so I can't leave my tuner on there, which is not a big deal.

My son really likes this case. Great protection and appears to be really great quality. And Dave at Sweetwater was great in helping me find a case to fit the guitar.

I needed something better for my go everywhere/bouncing in the vehicle dreadnought and decided to pick this up as the price was fantastic. It was a perfect fit for a custom made dread, was lightweight, takes up slightly less space then the wood case I had been using, and seals well. After a week of bouncing around the back of my Jeep on dirt roads in 90+ degree weather and 80% humidity the guitar is still in tune and the case shows very little evidence of wear. Would definitely purchase again. I might not trust it to the TSA for air travel but for a better then normal case to protect your guitar on the road this will do the trick.

For some reason I was slow to warm up to ABS cases.I am now conVince they are the way to go,I purchased one for my 1st Custom guitar I built,and just got one for my 2nd guitar that is under construction,very pleased!

Sweetwater has this great feature: Find a guitar cast that fits your guitar. Super. Put in your brand and your model and up come your choices. In my case, my guitar came up and I bought this case for a Martin 12-string D 12-20 (vintage 1968). Unfortunately it wasn't deep enough.
Sweetwater took it back without question. I provided my exact dimensions (overall length, neck, lower bout, waist, upper bout, body length and depth). The guitar gallery guys checked it all out. A new case is on the way.
I wish this case fit perfectly. It's strong and plush. Lots of storage room inside. Perhaps perfect for you.

Overkill for storage, gigs, studio etc. Might be not enough padding inside for air travel but who's gonna stop from adding some extra by yourself.

This case is very nice. I have a Martin DX1RAE for use in our worship band and it fits nice and snug in the case. The only reason I gave it 4 stars is I am not happy with the latches. Sometimes they get in a position where it is hard to close them, they must be resting in a certain spot before they will latch. Other than that, I go by the factory heading to Sweetwater all the time from Columbia City. It is nice to support local businesses.

I rated this case a 4.5 simply due to the front lat h does not line up perfect. This is a solid case overall and will serve you well.

Fits my Taylor nicely. Very little sculpting on my behalf. Road worthy case. Storage not large enough to fit my DI pedal but for the $80 savings over the Taylor factory case, I"ll deal with it. For all I know my pedal wouldn"t fit in the factory case.

Great case. I used the "case finder" tool as I didn't feel like measuring my guitar like it was getting a new suit. I was a little uncertain if it would fit properly, but my Taylor 510 CE fits perfect. Sturdy case, snug fit, and the lockable feature is a bonus.

I was looking for an ABS molded case for my new Ibanez Artwood acoustic guitar. This is a very snug fitting case. No play at all. I have confidence that my instrument is completely secure. The construction is solid and sturdy. When closed the case lines up great without any adjustments. Most cases need a little help before closing, not this one. The latches are simple but good. My only negative is the lock. I wish it was of a better quality. I seems like a dairy lock with a thin key. Other than that, I'm very pleased. Thx Max Rice and Sweetwater.

Bought this case for my Martin D1. I'm used to Martin cases, but didn't have the $$ this time around. So, this case isn't as nice as a Martin one, but it is well made and will protect my guitar well.

I was looking for a case that fit my Martin GPCPA4 (a "grand performer" style that is less common than a dreadnought style). Adam pulled my exact guitar and tried it in a different Gator case (that it didn't fit) and this one. That's customer service! There's a little bit of play, but an old concert t-shirt fills up the gap quite nicely.

This case is even better than I was expecting. I originally purchased the Gator Pro Go gig bag but exchanged it for this because the Pro Go is a HUGE case and I couldn't get used to how big it was. This ABS is a great looking case that's much more compact than the Pro Go gig bag. It's built real well with a beautiful interior and sufficient storage for the basics (strings, string winder, picks, etc.) Exactly what I was looking for.

I just received the Gator Deluxe ABS - acoustic dreadnought guitar case and was very impressed. The lid fits true and tight. The inside is plush with good storage. The ABS shell will take more abuse than I'll ever give it and the price was very reasonable. Matt McKible, as always, is awesome! Sweetwater is my go to place for musical equipment. Great buy!!

This case was everything I was expecting it to be based on the pictures and reviews. Unlike the wooden case I have, this one is nice and light, but it still feels like it can take a beating. I also love the cut out on the inside of the lid that accommodates the bridge and strings. The reason for the half star reduction is that I would've liked for the storage compartment to have been bigger. It does the job: holds a pack a strings, tuning peg winder, but there's not much room to spare.

I just got my Gator case for my Martin JImmy Buffett model today. It looks great and the outside is excellent. My gripe is the add says deep foam padding or something like that. I find the bottom of the case has little to no foam padding, in fact it's very hard. Even the top does not feel like foam padding. I'm kind of disappointed. I'm going to call Sweetwater and see if this is how they are suppose to be. Would I recommend it? Well for transporting to local gigs yes, but for airline travel I don't think so after seeing the way the airline loaders throw stuff around.

This case was recommended for my Seagull classic. The construction is very sturdy with latches that fit tightly and can be locked. Inside the case is lined with soft fuzzy fabric and a roomy compartment under the neck for supplies like picks,tuner and extra strings.
This is not a custom case for just one guitar so expect some challenges. The sides of the guitar fits snuggly,almost tightly at the bottom sides. I might expect to see damage to the guitar if the case were to be bumped at those points. I am not going anywhere with my gear but someone that does could encounter an issue

Bought it for my new Epiphone DR500 MCE - quite sturdy and the guitar fits snugly in place. I anticipate that these will be lifetime companions. Not quite 5 starts only because the ABS thickness is a little on the light side, in my opinion.

Needed a new case to replace the original factory supplied gig bag. Decided on the Gator hard case. Glad I did. It fit the Big Baby Taylor very nicely. This is a great case. The fit is pretty tight with my Ibanez acoustic electric, but that's a good thing. It seems really well built and should last a long time.

Fits the epiphone 500MCE master built well. Very light weight, yet good protection. I feel this case will protect my guitar from the usual loading unloading , transporting bumps and knocks from gigging and rehearsing .

Pretty nice solid case. Purchased for my EPI Masterbilt DR-500MCE, which fits well. Appears to provide good protection, and should be a good investment.

Very nice case but be warned. My Epiphone Hummingbird Pro does NOT fit in this case. The neck is too long or the case is to short. Too bad cause its a nice case but I have to return it.

I needed a case for a new guitar, and wasn't too impressed with the one from the manufacturer. This one is very sturdy, well made. The seams/latches line up when you close it. Reasonably priced. My guitar fits in it, what more can I say. It'll protect the guitar from anything I can put it through.

Although this case is not as snug of a fit for my Ibanez aw80nt as I would have like I am still giving it 5 stars for the quality. I just received mine yesterday and went over it thoroughly and was very surprised at the quality for the price compared to many that I have seen for $50 more. I made up for the extra room by leaving my strap on (soft leather) and placing it in the side of the case and was enough to take the wiggle out. Seems to be very capable for the the giger with out having to worry about the precious cargo inside.

The Gator GC-Dread is a great guitar case for any dreadnot guitar. It fit my Epiphone DR 500 MCE purfictly. I couldn't have asked for a better fit. I recomend this case to every one.

I love the protection this offers for my guitar. I take it with me more often because I can just 'throw' it in the car.

Although the accessory area is a good size, I still can't seem to fit my good strap in it with the other items I carry, but I'm working on it. Perhaps I need a smaller tuner...

Also, to me the handle seems to be in the wrong place. The balance is odd to me after my previous case, but because of the extra protection, I'm trying to adjust to it.

I bought this case for my Taylor grand auditorium guitar with a cutaway and it worked out just great. I don't have to worry about any damage to the guitar once it is safely tucked away inside. Welll worth the purchase.

Bought it and had the case in a few days. A few days later, I had a flight to Costa Rica. I tried to take it as carry on, but the overhead compartments were full so they had to check it, so I was pretty worried. No worries though! When I got it back in Costa Rica, everything was fine inside! The case was still in pristine condition. I took my guitar a lot of places in Costa Rica, the beach, the docks, a worksite, marketplace. Solid case!

Yes, this is a solid case, as the other reviewers noted. It holds my new Takamine as if it were custom made for it.

What can I possibly say that I don't like? Well, the handle placement is somewhat strange, throwing the balance of the case off. The body drops so far below the neck that you are forced to carry the body forward--don't try to carry it far the other way around! I'm not sure why they couldn't move the handle a little farther forward for better balance.

The other slight aggravation is in getting the clasps to align; the top has to be placed deliberately to get everything aligned and closed. This may improve as the case breaks in.

I would buy this case again--it was worth the money saved over purchasing a Takamine case.

After providing dimensions of my classic Ibanez acoustic dreadnought, my sales engineer called me and recommended the GC-Dread. I ordered it and received it two days later. My Dread fits perfectly and I'm sure the solid lockable case will protect my black beauty for many years to come. This case is rugged and beautifully crafted with ample storage space for extra strings, tuner, capo, strap, etc. I love it!

Fits the '63 Gibson J-45 very snugly. Very solid. Good padding. Light and not bulky. Excellent case. And Sweetwater, as always, was a pleasure to deal with.

The moment I laid my fingers and thumb around the solid handle of the Gator GC-Dread I knew I had something special. A quick scan 'of the rugged exterior and around the seams of this well built case indicated to me a lot of thought went into the design, look, balance and feel. It was easy to see by the way it carried and features like three ways of standing the case on it's own, this baby's design was by musicians, for musicians...imagine!

The black soft velvet interior is organized and well padded. Rubbing my fingers and hand across the soft interior and gripping around the edges and built up platforms, the interior was very firm and tight Again I could tell this classy case was designed by guitarists who wanted looks and protection wrapped into one.

I tried hard to think of something I didn't like, or thought could be improved. Only thing I could think of was having some "indentations" or something to grip on the side to pull the top up after opening the 4 latches. Just sayin'

Easily an excellent investment you can enfold your guitar and throw away your worries knowing your trusted Gator is protecting the family jewel.

I bought this case for my Takamine EG363SC Dread. Very nice indeed. Well made, external lock, nice comfortable handle, plenty of accessory space for your picks, capo, tuner, cord, and strap. Very rugged with nice strong hardware. Excellent price and value.

This is a well made case, and should last alot of years. For the money this Gator is the best. The case fits my Hagstrom guitar snugly, This Gator case is Well made, lockable and truly plush.
