Outstanding Guitar

By Donald Quaglia from Goleta, CA on May 7, 2021 Music Background: Long time guitar player, and tube amp lover

I purchased this Brian Setzer guitar for myself one look and it had to have it. Fit and finish on this Brian Setzer model is beyond belief not one blem on this guitar, and comes with a very good hardshell case and Sounds killer using a Tube Amp. And yes I would purchase this guitar again if I needed another one. And a big Thank You to my Sales Engineer Dustin Keesbury for always being there for me.

Perfect! Extreme Coolant Green Sparkle is a chick magnet!

By Danny from Colorado on July 18, 2020 Music Background: I started playing in 1975 so I've been around a bit and have played a lot of guitars and many styles. I currently play in a band running the local bar circuit

First, Sweetwater always does an awesome job prepping and checking over things and it does not seem to delay shipping.
The Guitar:
1. Fit and finish are perfect; I have not found any bad paint, scratches, nor dents/dings. I bought the Extreme Coolant Green Sparkle and my entire family loves it. The sparkle is dyn-o-mite! This guitar color is a chick magnet though so watch out! If you play a gig with this guitar and your significant other is not there then you WILL come home with someone else lipstick!
2. Plays like a dream! The set up is really good and I'm not sure if this was out of the box or Sweetwater but either way, it's good. No fret buzz anywhere. The Bigsby is smooth and stays in tune very well. It doesn't do deep bends or pulls in the way a Jeff Beck model strat does but you typically wouldn't expect that from a Bigsby.
3. Sound is great all around. Bridge overdrives well yet remains clear. Neck cleans up and is very warm and still clear. Middle position is smooth and of course clear. You don't have to play Stetzer only with this but the pickups and body does lean very heavily towards that Rockabilly sound. I do get nice jazz sounds from this one. I've not totally tried to rock out with it. If you can learn to control that hollow-body resonance then why not; you can play any style you want on any guitar and this Brian Setzer model is no different - seize the music!

Don't be nervous

By Scott from S. Ga. on January 18, 2023 Music Background: Spanking the plank about 56 yrs.

Never paid this much for a guitar built in Japan.HOWEVER, the fit and finish is fantastic! I own several high end american guitars that came with a few flaws, but not this one.Plays very well also.Intonation is good.Sounds amazing. The neck is quiet small so if you have large hands it may pose a problem.Giving it 4 and half stars only because the vibrato arm fell off when I was on the riser at church. No big deal tho, just a loose nut.........like me.As usual,my sales rep, Phil Potts is the BEST!
