Fazortan 2 is the latest incarnation of the D16 Group Controllable Space Phaser, D16’s first FX plug-in from the SilverLine Collection series. Fazortan 2 is the software expression of a classic 1970s-era hardware unit. To bring you even closer to the authentic analog vibe of the original, D16 meticulously modeled the all-pass circuits that are responsible for phase shift. With a GUI that gives you total control over all phase shift parameters, Fazortan 2 lets you zero in on the desired contour with high precision. Like the original, only better
Fazortan 2 rocks two big LFO Rate knobs, each with a Waveform window and a Depth knob. Each LFO can be modified by altering its respective phase for deep, spacious imaging. Unlike its hardware ancestor, Fazortan’s LFOs have multiple waveform modes: triangular (like the original), sinusoidal, hyper-triangular, and random. Deploying both LFOs concurrently unleashes new dimensional soundscape possibilities that hardware users could only dream of. Boundless contour diversity takes source material from monotonous, lethargic swings to what D16 onomatopoeically calls "gurgling scrumbles," just by slight tweaks of the Rate knob. The Fazortan 2 Feedback knob lets you dial up sounds ranging from soft pulses to rapid warbles to drilling insanity. To regulate the feedback effect, you can also add consecutive all-pass stages.
