Great replacement pedal for the FS-6
I have been using the FS-6 for a number of years and finally decided to replace it. I purchased the FS-7 and power supply from Sweetwater. Ian was great in getting it shipped quickly. Talks up half the space of the old pedal with the same functionality. I have to admit that is was smaller than expected, so there was some initial issues in making sure I tapped it correctly but overall it was a great purchase. I use it with a Boss RC-5 looper and it works great. Being able to switch some functions over to the foot switch is great. I can also use it with my Boss Katana MKII as needed. Overall, a great purchase. Thanks, Ian and Sweetwater!!
Very good
It's excellent works great
Boss FS7 Foorswitch
Great switch! Having two switches in one small form factor is perfect for my board. So perfect that I have ordered a second one from Ian, since I have some pedals that need latching, and some that need non-latching. The FS7 also has the function that both switches can go through the same cable, making it possible for me to program multiple functions for my looper.
FS-7
I highly recomment this very small, but very effective pedal.
Great addition
I've been relying on my Boss equipment more and more, the FS-7 has been a great addition to my setup. I'm a keep it simple, kind of guy and Boss is easy to use out of the box. Thanks to the team at sweetwater for all their help.
I really dislike it
power supply????? I don't like that. Too much to go wrong, and it did. In the trash now.
Boss FS-7
I bought the Boss FS-7 to be used with my Boss VE-8, mainly for the looper. I struggle double tapping the looper stop during solo live gigs. The Boss FS-7 allows for a one tap stop - much easier to time in live situations.
The Boss FS-7 works perfectly. Also, it works with or without power - that's nice!
As usual, the folks at Sweetwater are simply the best!
Quality Gear
Yes. Its a little pricy for just a 2 way switch, but, its totally worzh it, for The peace of mind on stage.Compared to The many cheap ones to chose from. This one is on The slightly expensive side of The room. But, if you actually need it for your set up, pay The extra few dollars knowing this gear is going to be totally solid for at least 15 years or more. If taken Care of correctly. These things work well. They are dependable and durable, and are made to take on The road.I have 2 running stuff on my rig at all times.bRgey do what they are supposed to do, ana they do it very well every single time !!!
a must have
if you have the Boss DR-01s Rhythm partner this pedal is a must. gives you total control over the start and stop of the box.
Boss foot switch FS-7
Works well very silent. But when you use A&B plug through your FX loop the A light does not come on. But the B light does for the channel changer. The A light is off when are effects are on. And the light is off when effects on very confusing. Don't now why?
It actually doesn't require the power supply for non-latching use
It's a footswitch
Small footprint, works with anything, doesn't take up much space. Comes with a splitter for a standard Boss power supply. I do wish the splitter was a bit longer, but it's not a big deal. No issues with selecting "A" or "B"
So many uses: in the studio, live, and in worship
This is an incredibly high quality dual footswitch with so many uses. In the studio, connect it to a Presonus Faderport and use it to punch in while recording. I also use mine when leading worship. I use 2 Boss RC-5 loopers, each connected to one of these switches, to play pre-recorded WAV files; worship pads in different keys on one looper, and worship songs on the other, using the FS-7 footswitch to go up and down the various loops. I also have them connected to separate volume pedals so I can fade one looper in and the other out for seamless flow between songs.
Old guy with big feet!
This is really a good control pedal for simple things. I use it to control my drum machine. I replaced 2 of the older style switcher pedals. I gain a nice a mount of space. I really like it.
PERFECT!!!!
I bought this and then found it on sale at amazon and Josh Strid Price matched it immediately. Thanks Josh and Sweetwater.
The finally fixed the big problem with the FS-6, but created 3 new problems
Singer songwriter
It's a great little foot switch pedal. Does what it's advertised to do.
It does what it should
It works exactly the way it should. The offset height of the dual switches makes it easy to track both switches, in a package roughly the same footprint as a standard boss pedal. I use it for tap tempo on a delay in one channel and a tremolo in the other.
Just what I needed
I use the Boss RC-300 loop station, and I was getting tired of bending down all the time to twist the knob to select the patches I needed for a song. I got this pedal to scroll through the patches with my foot. I plugged this into my RC-300, and I didn't have to configure it. It worked for changing patches right out of the box, and I don't need a power cord for it. I think Boss does an excellent job with their gear.
Rugged and smooth
I use it to bank up and down on my Boss MS3. Can be configured a few different ways. Might seem pricey for what it does but it works easily and is super sturdy.
Great Improvement!
I have been using the Fs6 for quite awhile but, I was needing to reduce size in my performing area. I have what you would call a cockpit. A pedal to stop and start my drum machine fs6, FX pedal, boss ve8, boost pedal and light control pedal. This fs7 pedal really helped cleanup the space and works perfectly plus NO battery!
Slightly Awkward Yet Works Well
Like most Boss products it's built solidly. The peddles/switches are a bit on the small side so it's a bit awkward to hit them. I do like that the FS-7 works without power (no indicators without power). I use it to switch output levels up/down incrementally so it's intuitive to use how I have it setup, expect it'll become less awkward over time.
So if you want 2 switches to take up as little room as possible & are reliable the FS-7 is a good choice. For me, I probably should have just bought another FS-5U or bought the FS-6 (I just didn't like that to power it a battery is required).
Needs power cable!
I had this switch but sent it back because I didn’t need the a and the b functions. I only want to be able to switch the boost on my Roland blues cube. So I sent it back for the single switch model. My biggest complaint about this particular product is that it requires a DC power cable for it to work in latched position. It’s not always convenient to be able to plug in extra item in, there is often a shortage of power sources on many small club venues. I would’ve liked it better if they would’ve at least made it battery-operated. Other than that it looks a well built switch. I only got rid of it because I didn’t want the A B buttons I wanted a smaller size. But I would’ve hated every time I had to find an extra power outlet to plug it in so I’m glad I got rid of it.
A Great Quality Investment
Perfect Add-On
I've owned an RC-3 Loop pedal for quite some time, but had rarely used it. So I decided to go with the foot switch add on to make the RC-3 easier to use. The foot switch does just that. No more double tapping and press and hold on the Looper, when I can just use the foot switch to stop, scroll, tap tempo, etc. It's great and make the RC-3 fun to use finally.
Note, this does come with a power cable splitter, so if you are using a One Spot for your pedal power, this uses the splitter for both. Also power is not required for this pedal to operate if using in momentary switching, only in latch mode does it require power.
Great foot switch for Katana 50
Foot switch is perfect for switching between channels and banks.
Ergonomical,
I"m using the FS-7 to increase functionality of my RC-3, and have it mounted on my pedalboard. It works really well, and requires only about 1/3 the space the FS-6 used to take.
Using it with Boss GT 1000
You can use it without power if on momentary mode, for the latch mode you will need an AC power source, space saver, excellent response, high quality build, now I am using it with the boss GT 1000, and it is giving me an extra two buttons for the unit, I use one for he tuner and the other for the delay tempo.
Boss fs7
Bought this to work as a dual control pedal for my Boss GT100. Set it up to control the delay and reverb. Works as should. Power cord works just fine running both units. Pleased with my purchase.
Great footswitch for Boss gear
Basically, all you want from a footswitch is durability and functionality. This one has both, and it works great with Boss gear. I use it with my MS-3 to switch banks, and it is far superior to attempting to press two buttons at once. Great product.
Works great
Use this for my Boss RC 3 and it works great. This thing is small, if you wear size 13 shoes like me it will require some practice to get accurate. I like the one trs cable option to reduce the mess but i wish you could assign the switches other then that its great.
Works well with Loop Station RC-1
I learned the "locking" mode. The "momentary" works too, but "locking-mode" gets you there quicker. "Undoing" & "quit" is one action on "A & B" pedals.
excellent innovation..
its a typical of Boss products! fit, form, function, reliable, great quality, built well.
well thought out, excellent innovation that lives up to their name....
I'm very partial to Boss because I've never had any Boss pedals fail me
in the 25+ years of weekend gigs. I've only had one Boss pedal fail me,
but that was my bad due to my stupidity in an attempt to modify a well known
reliable Boss CS-3 compressor...
Boss FS 7 Foot switch
The Boss FS 7 foot switch replaced my Beatbuddy foot switch. More compact and switches feel better on the foot.
Great FTswitch
Well made and offers all the features one could need (polarity and latch switches) - if you don't care about the leds you can use without power otherwise it comes with its own Y adapter for 9V power supplies which is great because it doesn't rob you of a space on your pedal board.
Great Foot Pedal
Durable, well-constructed foot pedal. I like the compact size and configuration. I am using it as a Looper stop on the B switch and a Key increment on the A switch with my Boss 'VE 8 guitar and vocal processor. Highly recommended.
Sand!
I originally had 2 of the FS 5U pedals to control my Boss RC-3 looper. But I went out and bought this FS7 in order to have more room on my pedal board. Problem is, I have 2 gigs that are in the sand. Not the Stage, but the venue is a beach venue in the sand. I found the sand from my shoes would get into the pedal and actually stop it from working. I went back to the FS5 because sand cannot get in. Just not a good pedal for my needs.
Better then FS6 or Upgrade from FS6
I have 2 FS-6's and to save battery you have to unplug making it bad for pedal boards.
Boss Fixed that problem with the FS-7, it will work without a battery, That's right...no battery needed
But if you want the lights to work just insert a battery. The size makes it perfect for pedal boards.
(i did hotwire a power adapter to my FS6 but that takes up a power strip plug..bummer)
Thank you BOSS for the FS-7...two thumbs up
Very small...sturdy
Thanks sweetwater for the great service as always! I use this without a battery for easy bank changes with the boss dd500. I know a few people out there are concerned that the actual pedal part is plastic. I have NO worries that this will break or fail, just like none of the other boss fs's I've had for years.
Very Handy
The FS-7 hooked right up to my Boss ME-20 multi-effects unit and works perfectly. This is a must have item to scroll through the effects bank on the ME-20.
Does what I need it to do
The five star rating is more for Sweetwater than for the actual item. The FS-7 works exactly as it should and I am very satisfied with it; however, the customer service and support from Sweetwater is what really earned a top notch rating.
Great Pedal!
Does exactly what is advertised and takes up less real estate on my pedal board then a side-by-side foot switch.
Great for drummers
Great foot switch to plug into a Boss DB-90 Dr. Beat metronome. I use this playing at church to start and stop the click and advance to the next song. It makes changes very smooth and easy and fits perfectly next to a hi-hat stand.
finally
no battery required, small, and two pedals. perfect and about time.
