Best Transient Shaper Ever
I own pretty much every transient shaper you can think of, and this one easily takes the cake. I have never used such a reliable and fast transient shaper. What I mean by that is you won't have any slip-ups with transients in quick succession like you will with any other shaper. Envolution is extremely tight sounding, incredibly malleable, and ridiculously responsive. Throw it up against a 1/32 note drum roll, no problem. Every single transient will have the same impact, so no more annoying pumping artifacts from shapers that weren't coded nearly as well. Ditch all of your old shapers and make the purchase. Thank me later.
Of all the plugins out there, the best envelope shaper
I have tried many, many other plugins first.But the Envolution is in my experience by far the best of them all. What I like the most, is that you can boost the transients, but use the attack option so you don't boost the 'click'sound, but only that part straight after that. That technique will make your kick very round, without a penetrating click. It will work on other instruments too.
The frequency settings are very flexible. So this plugin is made to fine tune, which really helps to control instruments when needed. I used to own almost every UAD plugin. I sold them all. This is the only plugin I bought again in native version.
Finally! a Solution for the 'S' Problem
So I understand that Sonnox has a dedicated de-esser plugin, SuprEsser. However I have found that I don't very often want 'Less S' (sounds like missing teeth), I just have a problem with the envelope of the S. And that is where Envolution does a really really awesome job. What I do is set the 'freq' mode to 'focus', get the center frequency as close as I can to the S sound, then roll the 'transients' knob way back and, Presto! Perfect natural sounding S. Definitely recommend this plug. Surprisingly low latency too. Wow.
