Great Guitar Great Job Sweetwater

By Damon Fausett from Lafayette, IN on January 28, 2024 Music Background: Cover Bands Songwriter

This Guitar is my new #1! Let's start with the 55 point inspection. Ricky H you need to own this! Great job checking out this guitar! The only thing is the action is a little high. But not a deal breaker. Stays in tune and sounds great! Thanks Sami Pikel and Kurt Martin! The Dynamic Duo! You guys rock! Now onto the guitar. When I opened the case,I was floored! Man this thing looks
better in person than in the pic's! Not taking away anything from the guys in the guitar gallery, but when you open the case and that green guitar pops in that red lined case! Wow! Nice flame! (It's why I picked this guitar)! The sound is respectable. I had to dial it in. But when you do that. It really sounds great! Plus the fact it stays in tune! These are a real value for the money, (Nice case included). Pick out your favorite color, you won't be disappointed!

For the PRICE, it's NICE

By Goozemann from West Chester, PA on December 13, 2023 Music Background: retired thrash/punk/doom player, now collector/hoarder

It seems lately Epiphone has really upped their game. This axe is just gorgeous, good hardware, plays nice, sounds good. Granted, I will probably replace the pickups with Duncan Slash alnico 2's eventually, but still. Compared to the Gibson it's like 80-90% there (I have a Gibson Slash in Rosa Corsa red to compare). The only thing I really wish they would change is the poly gloss finish, it's just TOO shiny, gives is a plastic-y look....please go to nitro!! Other than that, no complaints and the Anaconda green finish just kills!!

I have this same exact guitar but in the Blueberry Burst. I love this guitar and nothing against the Gibson name. They worked hard to claim their Crown. This model is a beautiful piece of art that can actually be used much to the pleasure of the owner. I can't say anything that these reviews covered were great. No one mentioned to check the frets with the " rubbing a Kleenex down the sides of the neck to ensure they were filed smoothly and that neck was perfech!! Smooth as a panel of glass. This model will be compared to the Casino hollow body from the '60s in the coming years, You couldn't ask for more from a high-end guitar on a working man's budget. You can play it for the rest of your life and pass on as an heirloom in the end. I'll never part with mine. Great job Epiphone & Slash.

Best guitar I’ve ever had!

By Will on July 14, 2023 Music Background: Lead Guitarist

I love slash. He's on if my biggest idols. The guitar plays beautifully and it's amazing how much range this thing has in tones. Not to mention it comes with a case! You are getting more than what you paid for in my opinion. The stap locks are just slip on, not locking, but that's no biggie. All epiphones do play a little differently, but this one is amazing. The finish is even prettier in real life. I LOVE this guitar. You won't regret it

Worthy Purchase

By Daniel Arnold from DELTONA, FL on May 12, 2023

I was in the market for a Les Paul. I chose this model based on the quality wood and electronics included for the price tag. The Slash namesake is cool but it will most likely not make you play like him. The hard case is included. Very nice incentive for picking this model over a similar priced one. Service was great. Highly recommended.

Awesome Guitar

Just get one! You will love it.

Anaconda Burst Sizzles

By Brian Vaughn from Anthem, AZ on July 6, 2022 Music Background: 40+ years of playing electric guitar (rock/electric blues/heavy metal)

The burst is beautiful! Mine has really defined wood graine's on the top that really standout with the green and black color.

Weight - on par with the Gibson LP's that I own and not to heavy (8 lbs.)
Binding - great job on the binding all the way around. There's a tiny abrasion on the binding on the underside of the neck at the 7th fret but it can't be seen, only felt.
Pickups - great sound. They have both a crunch and a growl to them and really have a punch. Also sound great on the clear channel. The sustain is really good during string bends and can hold for 5-8 seconds.
Knobs - work as they should
Rhythm/Treble switch - works as expected.
Neck - I love the C neck on this. It fills my hand and is easy and smooth to play. The neck has a slight amount of relief in it, which is exactly what a guitar neck is supposed to have.
Fretboard - smooth with no fret sprouting. There is a dead note on the low E 20th fret, but it's a note I'll never play so it doesn't bother me.
Tuners - I'm not impressed with the tunning keys. They are a cheap hollow plastic, and I would have expected better on a guitar that is fashioned by a great lead guitarist like Slash. I have other Epiphones that are half the price as this guitar that have better tunning keys. But I knew what I was getting when I bought this guitar so I'm not taking away any Stars for it.
Guitar hard shell case - great case, really sturdy.

I had to oil the fretboard when I got this because it was really, really dry. I also lowered the bridge to adjust the string height and did a slight adjustment on the bridge pickup.

Overall, I love this electric guitar! It feels great and is amazing to play.

Another very good Epiphone Les Paul

By Brent Preppernau from St. Cloud, MN on March 21, 2022 Music Background: Amateur bass player finally learning guitar. Thanks, pandemic.

Bought a 2021 Epiphone Slash Les Paul Anaconda Burst as a demo. Supposedly it was scratched on the top but the scratches are faint or buffed out when they polished the guitar for shipping. There is a little scuffing on the jack plate. Came with a really nice Epi hard case.
This is a very good quality instrument for the money, even without the demo discount. It isn't a Gibson but it is definitely a Les Paul. The build and QC on mine were excellent. It stays in tune. The set up was good and immediately playable. Nothing I would change at this point. The neck is a nice chonky Les Paul profile. The pickups are pretty hot. They are missing just that little extra presence and roundness in a Gibson PAF but still sound great through my Vox tube amp. For rock and blues this is an instant smile.
This is a heavy guitar, @ 9.5 lbs. I recommend a bass strap. Comes with Epiphone strap locks which are really solid and I wouldn't strap up without them. I am ambivalent about the Slash signature stuff but it is not that noticeable, except for the case. I really love the green color, all the finishes in this line are classy.
The usual shout out to Sweetwater for excellent service. I don't even know why I would shop somewhere else at this point.

Epiphone Slash Les Paul Anaconda burst.

By michael ellis from East Moline IL on October 3, 2021 Music Background: Voice, and Guitar Acoustic and Electric

I have had my guitar since The first part of August. I love this guitar it is a beautiful reproduction of the Gibson Les Paul Anaconda Burst. It's pretty and so is the Smoke house burst 60s Les Paul. It is a beautiful guitar. Epiphone has restored there reputation and they are Awesome now.

Great Les Paul even if you aren't a Slash fan

By jason on August 4, 2021 Music Background: bedroom noodler

I watched a lot of the speculation videos and reviews when these new Epiphone Slash Les Pauls were teased and then released. I was tempted to hunt down a 59 Epiphone but I am very glad that I ordered this one as I am very satisfied with my purchase. This is one of my favorite Epiphones that I have purchased.

I think my favorite thing about the guitar is the neck. It just feels very comfortable to me. I also own two other "new headstock" Epiphones - the Joe Bonamassa Les Paul Custom with 3 pickups and a Silverburst Les Paul Custom. The Joe Bonamassa has a chunkier neck and the Silverburst has a slimmer one. This Slash one feels right in the middle to me and feels great.

The pickups also sound great to my ear. I have a Gibson Les Paul Classic Plus with the Seymour Duncan Slash Alnico 2 signature pickups and these Epiphone pickups still sound good by comaparison. The only thing I would want different would be if they ever offered a VOS-type finish where it was duller like the 1959 Epiphone.

A beast

By Drew on July 30, 2021 Music Background: Semi pro

Well there was a lot of negative speculation about this line, most about the pups and lack of any high end parts like the 59's. Now as an owner of a Anaconda I sit with a smile while I watch them disappear off the websites. The neck is nice and chunky and feels better in my hand over a 59 neck but the pups blew me away and I hope they sell these as replacements as I would swap all my probuckers for these customs. They also beat out my SD Saturday night specials and go toe to toe with my Gibson's with burstbucker 61's. Fit and finish equal to gibson other than poly vs nitro. Has more sustain than my gibson standard and has that tone that Slash is known for and my only wish is if it would of had a darker fretboard. Also has a nice case. All in all I'm very pleased.
