Sounds great. Easy intuitive programing.

This is a great plugin if you are interested in something more and different than a standard drum machine or drum plugin. It's sound is very analog in character. There are a ton of options to shape your sounds. Using this plugin, I am reminded of the days before sampling when electronic artists turned to synths, such as the ARP 2600, to create their drum sounds.

The built in sequencer aids in building creative rhythm parts. You can drag the sequence you made into a your DAW MIDI track and turn off the built in sequencer. Or you can run the sequencer in sync with your DAW. The randomize feature is creative and fun. You can random generate drum kits, and also drum parts, which often has positive results. There is an automatic fill option that adds fills that will surprise you.

If you go to the Sugar Bytes website, they have demos versions of all their software instruments. I recommend checking out the Drum Computer demo and then purchase it from Sweetwater if you want to take your electronic beats to a different level.

There is so much you can do with this plugin it really is quite something.
As you would expect you can drag and drop midi files but what is great you can also drag the remix files and the auto remix files into your DAW. So you can pretty much create a songs worth of material starting with just one 16 step pattern. The sounds from the individual synth engines can be so varied as to cover anything you might want to hear and then some. As one pro reviewer remarked, 'If you could put SB Drum Computer into a harware unit it would sell for 1200 dollars plus'. And I believe that is true.

It does everything. The UI looks amazing. Really creative sound design and with a relatively easy learning curve, I taught myself 90% of how to use it in about an hour. Love the randomization features. Only requests would be automated panning, sample reversal, and an easy way to split the audio paths within a DAW (like how Logic drum machines do it). But those are things I can happily live without, because this plugin is really too good to be true.

I've had the software for about 2 weeks now and have used it on 2 tracks already. Drumcomputer is capable of so much,I have only begun to scratch the surface. The sequencer is killer, sound tweaking/creation can be a rabbit hole of too many choices.
(Nice problem to have). I have other drum software like Toontracks and Addictive which I use for more standard sounding trax.
I got this to supplement with non-standard sounds. You might think this is aimed at EDM music but really it can be used for anything. It doesn't have as many FX as some other programs but all in all a great addition to my arsenal. Pretty easy on CPU usage. 4.5 rating only because nothing is perfect. :)
