Hosa cables and snakes are extremely strong plus durable. High quality for a great price. My studio is full of Hosa snakes and cables. The sound is clear and no cross talk. I highly recommend them with over 20 years of experience, they're my go to brand.

One small design change would be hood

By Bob H. from New Hampshire
Music Background: 55 years touring musician, recording/ FOH Eng.

It's just a multi snake we use for keys. Works fine. However, one change I would suggest to the manufacturer, at least, on one end you need to.make the fan tail longer. I had to slice the outer jacket so the fan tail could reach the top and bottom Keyboard output connections.
Other than that. It's working pretty well.

Hosa snakes and cables are strong and stable all the time. I use Hosa for all my multi output and input connections including drum machines, samplers, patchbays and recording console inputs. I highly recommend them.

Hosa CSS-807 8-channel 1/4" TRS Male Snake (23.1 Ft)

By Joel from Houston, TX
Music Background: Cover band musician. (drummer)

I purchased this snake for my band with the purpose of reducing the amount of cables we have on stage when we are playing live gigs. We are using this snake to go from our main mixer monitor outs (or auxiliary outs) to our in-ear monitor transmitters. We have 7 people in our band with 7 separate in ear transmitters. So previously, we had to run 7 separate 1/4" TRS cables from the mixer. This snake allowed us to clean up all the cables to one and gives us a much cleaner look on stage.

I have used this now once at a live gig in September 2022, and it worked perfectly. No issues at all. Clear sound.
I would recommend this snake.

Great snake, really good price

By Shawn R. from Maryland

What do I say about a 1/4 balanced snake. It was long and got the job dome. The best thing was the price was reasonable for a durable product.

Good for the price.

By Patrick I. from Philadelphia, PA
Music Background: Tribute band singer / occasional keyboardist

I've owned these in a few different lengths over the years. They aren't very "pro," but they work.

This time, I am using one to just skip DIs and run a rack of old keyboards straight into a studio mixer. The fan is long enough that I was able to pick up two stereo keyboards direct with the snake connectors and then grabbed two mono keyboards with audio out on the opposite side using TRS couplers and 1 ft. patches.

Sure, running each old unbalanced keyboard to a DI and using an XLR snake would be better, but four of the channels are going into TRS-only Aux input on the mixer anyway and the run is still short enough that it worked without much noise.

I'd prefer numbers to the colors, but gray, then ROYGBV, then brown is a usable ordering scheme.

Instead of having a nest of cables...

By Jerome L. from Hayesville, NC
Music Background: Technical Director

We're a small playhouse/concert venue (250 seat). Our sound booth is 75'+ away. We use a couple of long snakes from the sides of the stage to the booth for signal input and output. Our problem was getting the signals out from the sends of our long snakes to our monitor (and other) amplifiers. When you have three monitor amps near the stage, that makes for a lot of cables. Found this nice 7 meter snake. Now instead of having six cables - we only have one. Makes a difference in the appearance and the functionality.
