Sweetwater specifically selected the tonewoods for the 000-28 Ziricote Custom acoustic guitar. These woods deliver not only best-in-class sound but also striking visual appeal with heavy figuring and lots of wood grain. The back and sides are crafted from ziricote, a superb and responsive Central American tonewood. Ziricote is often described as similar to ebony and rosewood, but with more balanced overtones and strong individual note clarity, especially when fingerpicking. Meanwhile, an Italian alpine spruce top ensures a responsive feel with sophisticated depth that reveals fresh nuance in your sound.
