Building off the famed BitterSweet freeware plug-in, the Flux:: BitterSweet Pro Transient Designer offers laser-precise sculpting of your signal’s transient response. This versatile plug-in boasts several distinct modes to shape your signal (you can target transients, sustain, or both transients and sustain all at once), while the Frequency Range grants pinpoint control over what exact range of your signal’s frequency will be altered — you can even boost or attenuate this specific frequency range using the Static Gain knob. The BitterSweet Pro Transient Designer’s titular feature comes in the form of a 2-pole Bitter/Sweet knob, which accents (Bitter) or attenuates (Sweet) your specified frequency range to supply maximum control over the character of your transients. You also get a flexible Speed section (Fast/Med/Slow and Look Ahead), Output Gain control with two distinct modes of harmonic clipping, and a “Geek” panel for super in-depth modification of the transient processing envelope. For instance, if you’re treating a percussion track with a lackluster kick, BitterSweet Pro’s Frequency Range control allows you to focus in on the kick and add extra character with the Bitter and Static Gain controls — all while leaving the rest of your signal wholly unchanged!
