Behringer 960 Sequential Controller Analog Step Sequencer Eurorack Module
Behringer 960 Sequential Controller Analog Step Sequencer Eurorack Module Reviews
A faithful reproduction of the sequencer module from a legendary 1970s modular synthesizer, the Behringer 960 Sequential Controller is brimming with old-school analog vibe. This 56HP Eurorack module comprises three eight-step sequencer pattern rows, with manual CV adjustment and separate gate in and out per step, and a ninth step with stop command for halting the sequence. Every step is equipped with a manual trigger button, making it easy to audition sounds when building sequences. The Behringer 960 provides two outputs per channel and a voltage range selector for each, with options for +2V, +4V, and +8V maximum output. For brewing up vintage-inspired synthwave arpeggios, firing off gritty analog drum samples, or generating complex modulations, it doesn’t get better than the Behringer 960. And the module is also equipped with a built-in pulse oscillator, with a frequency range selector and fine-tuning knob (bearing the historically accurate name “Frequency Vernier”). Synthesists at Sweetwater like to combine the Behringer 960 with the Behringer 962 Sequential Switch to transform it into a 24-step sequencer for crafting long, evolving melody lines and percussive rhythms. With their System 55 modules, including the 960 Sequential Controller, Behringer has opened up access to the most coveted synth sounds of all time at incredibly affordable prices. Itching to enter the world of Eurorack or just want to add some old-school flavor to your Eurorack arsenal? Check out the Behringer System 55 Eurorack modules today!
Yup
With a few minor limitations this works the same as it's Moog mother. Very versatile and controllable. I have two and use them to control parameters on my digital modules such as oscillator voice selection, delay/echo times and DSP settings. I'll be getting a 3rd 962 switch for a 48-step sequence potential, and additional switching/triggering options. Downside, live changing of the skip/normal control during performance causes lockup (or stall) in the sequencer operation if that stage is active while moving the control. It's easy to avoid at slower speeds, impossible at fast speeds, a glitch of IC design earning 4 1/2 stars.

Behringer 960 Sequencer
Beautiful craftsmanship and design.Durabillaty is supreme!!!
Behringer 960
This is a wonderful sequencer it works quite well and has many features, 8-24 steps with a sequential switch that has at least 3 positions I have a doepfer A-151 switchable 2-4 quad sequential switch which works just fine I do plan to get the Behringer 962, you can never have too many sequential switches. I highly suggest this sequencer!
Worth Buying
Took a few attempts to get to work, but mine now sits in a Behringer go case hooked up to my Moog Mother 32, and sounds great. The learning curve is somewhat deep here, but that's the joy of analog, isn't it.
A beautiful recreation of an historic piece of gear
