I needed a guitar case a bit longer than normal, to accommodate my latest build. I built a 12 string telecaster, and the headstock was about an inch too long to fit a standard case. This case works well for that. The case shipped quickly and arrived with no issues. Would buy from Sweetwater again.

It is a solid case with everything you need to protect your guitar

I cant speak to all guitars but this really is a perfect fit for the schecter 28" scale 8 strings. The case is very nicely molded with slats molded into both sides that really prevent flex unlike some older style ABS cases.

I was actually really surprised at the quality build of the case. No hanging material. The nylon strap is properly secured with a half twist which makes sure that strap always folds into the case as it should.

The guitar has a tiny bit of wiggle room but it never has the risk of the headstock hitting the end of the case. Any smaller and I think it would be too tight. Any bigger and it would move around. Really a great case and a really good alternative if you dont like the OEM cases from manufacturers. Plus the plush black interior really highlights any guitar you put in it.

Generous places to put accessories. Overall a really great case that is a lot lighter and more durable than expected.

For scale, the picture shows a Booka Bass custom that is a "hybrid", or Bass VI type instrument, being a six-string tuned to E standard an octave below standard guitar, with narrower 15mm spacing between strings. The scale is 31", so it is close to the baritone range, just an inch longer than a 9-string guitar. This case fits it very well, the instrument is exactly 40" long and there is a little over an inch of room left. I bought this case based on the dimensions listed, which are accurate.

Case is sturdy and interior is firm with a soft plush/velvet surface. There are compartments on either side of the neck, but no lids/covers. I would avoid putting any small metal things in these compartments that could potentially damage the finish of the bass. The two interior molded halves do not meet when closed, a standard 1/4" cable will fit between the gap and the lid still closes and latches with no effort; a loose key or small tool or piece of hardware could easily migrate to the instrument compartment while in transit. Compartment lids/doors would have solved this, but as is I think the lack of lids is consistent with the price tag. The main purpose of the case is to protect and store the bass, which it does.

The Gator brand has established a reputation for making great cases and gig bags, and I believe they live up to it. For the price, I am satisfied.

It fits my Baritone Ibanez RGIB21 perfectly. Good Case for sure.

This case is very sturdy built and does what it should. The inside has plenty of room to store extra strings, picks, etc. A big thanks to Rob Barraza for always helping me out with the gear I buy.

There are not a whole lot of options for baritone guitar cases, and mine came without one. As this seems to be designed to fit most baritones, it is a good case. I have a Squier Paranormal Cabronita Baritone and it fits the guitar with a couple of inches to spare, so if you are looking for a tight fit you may need to add some extra padding (foam, polish cloth, etc.) I don't believe the extra play could damage the guitar in any way if you didn't. I is a solid case and the interior i nicely lined.

This case was recommended for a Danelectro Baritone guitar. This in no way fits a Danelectro Baritone guitar. I will use it for another guitar but be careful of the recommendations on here.

I use a Fender Pawn Shop Bass VI, a Squier Classic Vibe Bass VI, and a Squier Vintage Modified Baritone Jazzmaster. That is my thing. Ask anyone who knows me, and they will describe one of those guitars.

The problem for me was finding cases. I recently learned they fit in Jaguar Bass cases (forehead slap moment). However, if you need something more sturdy than wood cases, more roadworthy than wood cases, go with this case.

This is a very nice case and not overly expensive like some other brands. I use it for a ESP LTD MH-1000B and it's great. One disclaimer, it does NOT fit ESP LTD Viper baritones.

I looked everywhere for a case that would accommodate my short scale. With this case, it fits nice and tight, with plenty of room for storage.

This case is exactly what you need if you want to keep your bass protected when not in use.

Just like the Sweetwater staff recommended, this case is a perfect fit for the Gretsch G2220 Junior Jet Short Scale bass.

If this instrument was 1/2" longer it wouldn't fit. There is zero wiggle room, so the bass is held snugly.

The case is exactly what this instrument needs.

I read a previous review will it said it fit my short scale which it did. There plenty of room on each side of the neck for tuner cables and straps. There was a certified fit below the case that it wasn't fit my instrument which it did.

So firstly just want to say this is a great case, Gator makes good quality stuff. The reason for the 3 stars is that this case is shown as a "certified fit" for the short scale 5 string Ibanez Talman Bass (TMB35 - Mint Green model), and it absolutely does not fit. The case is not long enough for the instrument or wide enough for the neck or body. I'm assuming it will fit other Talman-style short scale basses, but again it is a no-go for the 5 string model. With Sweetwater being Sweetwater they obviously took care of me when I pointed this out to my rep (special thanks to Todd Cotten for fixing everything). I'm just writing this review in the hopes it saves anyone a headache who has the same bass as me and is looking for a hard case

I bought this case after reading that my Gretsch would fit it perfectly and it did. Well constructed as most Gator cases are and plenty of room for your straps, tuner and strings. Worth the price to get.

Well-made, no frills case.

Just a word of caution: I bought this for my Jackson FR7 and while it fits the extra length of the guitar, it doesn't hold the body firmly without a good amount of extra padding stuffed in along the sides. No fault of the manufacturer, just the tradeoff of being universal fit.

I have always been pleased with Gator cases. When I got myself a short scale Sting Ray bass I used Gators "Will it fit" helper and this was the best option. My short scale Sting Ray fits in there perfectly and the case is of good quality. I am very pleased.

I needed a case for my Gretsch Junior Jet bass. Reading the reviews for that instrument, I found conflicting information: some people said to use such-and-such case; others said no, use X; at least one person said that there simply isn't a case that will work…

Here on the Sweetwater website, they list this case as a "certified fit" for the junior jet, but still, I was a little nervous, until… I went ahead and called and spoke with Alex who assured me that if it says it is a certified fit, it's going to fit. He explained the entire process to me, how they take each new instrument (like when they start carrying a new product) and test it by hand to see which case or cases will or will not work. They've done their homework – and not just by comparing measurements or whatever, but by actually taking the time to try it out for themselves on our behalf. When you think about it, it's a relatively small step to take, but it makes all the difference. If you can't try it out for yourself at a local music store, and you are having to purchase blindly from a website, it's an awesome feeling to know that when these guys say it's a certified fit, it is a certified, guaranteed, sure enough fit.

So, I bought it. And it fits. End of story.

I'm able to store the bass with a nice (i.e., thick) strap still attached and simply tucked in beside the upper bout. The headstock reaches right to the very end but isn't being cramped, no pressure. It's also got enough storage space that you could have potentially an instrument cable besides string packs, tuner, etc. The latches are secure. It's not too heavy. And the price is right.

Got this case even though I don't have a baritone guitar. My normal double cutaway 3 pickup guitar (Electra X185) wouldn't fit in the standard length version. This one is pretty much perfect.

I feel very secure and taken care of when I shop here in Sweetwater. The products are always excellent quality. Not to mention the service. Adam did an amazing job at helping me find this terrific case. I came to him with nothing but a picture of the instrument I needed to keep protected and he gave me a name and perfect description of a good case right from the start. Even after as I kept showing him others that could maybe find themselves needing to fit in this "case" he was given the task to find, he still continued to offer me different kinds and his opinions. Fast delivery and well protected, fits perfect for Ibanez 8 string guitar.

This case is a perfect fit for my baritone. When I took it out of the box it looked smaller than I was expecting, but my PRS SE 2777 Baritone fit perfectly. For comparison, I also tried my PRS Tremonti SE, which had ample space as well. The case is lightweight as well. Good deal for the price.

I bought the case for my new Schecter that I bought from Sweetwater and the guitar fits perfect in the case. It's very durable and well made.

Fits both the guitars I wanted it too, but it is very tight for a 27" scale length telecaster.

As the title states...this case will not fit a Danelectro Baritone Guitar. The case is too short. I would rather the case have been longer with some filler foam to compensate for the extra length.

I landed on this case after trying to find something for my Fender Mustang PJ bass. Short scale cases are tough to find! For anyone else with this problem: The PJ *just* fits in this case, the headstock does touch the lining and the G tuning peg ends up hitting the lining and turning most of the time... but it"s so much nicer than anything else I"ve tried that I"m keeping it. Great storage, lightweight, and sturdy.

Fits my custom made short scale bass perfectly (check your own instrument's measurements before ordering though!). Snug and without overly crushing the guitar, like some hardshell cases I've owned in the past did. Plenty of storage space. No weird upholstery smell on the inside either. Well balanced when carrying. Perfect price too. Couldn't be happier. And major props to Chuck for quickly getting it out to me in time for tour, my only regret is not getting one sooner :)

Fits my baritone Ibanez RGIB6 (28 inch scale length). Body fits perfectly. There's 1 inch more of space by headstock, so it should be able to fit a 29" in there. You can lock the case also; it comes with keys. Quick and easy to open with the latches, as opposed to zipper. I wish there was a soft case option, but no complaints. Fair price, around what can be expected for a standard case. I just needed a case to fit and protect my instrument. This does what I needed; I'm satisfied.

Good case for the price. Fit my Zoltan Signature Assassin perfectly. The body of guitar fits snug in the lower pocket, so even with the slight extra room at the top where headstock goes, the guitar does not move at all when sitting inside. Can leave strap on guitar too, no issues.

This seems to be a well constructed case. I have a Gretsch Jet Baritone but I really bought this for my G&L Comanche. The case is long enough but the body area is just a bit small so I will have to make some small modification to accommodate the strap buttons (actually strap locks).

For the money, it's your decent average hard case.

Two issues:

1. Interior length is not 42", it's 41-3/8. My baritone will not fit (warmoth baritone neck on a strat body). It's 42" on the nose, and with this case, the end of the headstock gets pinched in the padding if you try to close the case. This could severely damage the headstock when using it to transport the guitar, negating the use of the case completely.
2. Interior length including padding is 43"
3. Gator has a nice video showing how they make their products in the US, but when you open it up, there's a 'made in china' sticker right on it. I know they do some onshore manufacturing, but not this case. Ah well, can't win them all.

It's a case. It works. And, it fits a baritone guitar. It could be $10-20 cheaper I thtink but the price is still quite reasonable.

Although it's designed for a baritone Tele, it works just fine for my "63" Danelectro baritone. Nice that the accessory compartments don't have extraneous doors-- covers are built into the case lid. Otherwise, just what you expect of a hardshell case.
