in simple terms:

1 - get the KLON sound with any rig
2 - get the JTM45 sound with any rig

in other simple terms:

this gives what i call the "baby bump" eq curve, the mids have a strong bump but
it is a soft wide-Q sound not a harsh peak in any middle range.

a marshall jmp sound is like blackened chicken - the entire surface gets fried;
a marshall jtm sound is like an apple pie - the edge/crust is crunchy but the middle remains soft.

you can push a jtm to a far degree before it gives any crunch, and when it does it's only at the edges;
but begin to push a jmp and it starts to cook in the middle as early as the edges.

for me i can nail the low-gain sounds of a jtm due to this JRock white archer pedal,
and i can nail the low-gain sounds of a jmp with the Revv Tilt boost pedal.

You can use this pedal as a clean boost or by liberally using using the color knob, you can add just a touch of overdrive if necessary. This pedal can do a lot! A keeper for sure.

I am enjoying the JRockett Archer Clean foot pedal I purchased from Sweetwater. IT is everything I thought it would be just the clean tone I was looking for.

I initially had some trouble with the product because I was attempting to use it with a 9V battery. After much digging, the one page "Manual", while difficult to find on the JRockett site, does state (very poorly) that a 9V battery is not supported. I wonder then, why does it have a battery attachment on the inside? It works fine with a power supply. I am not complaining, just offering a heads up not to try operating with a battery.

My Silver Archer works fine with 9V battery.

Support at Sweetwater was great, as is expected. They never disappoint me.

I was using a Klon clone as a clean boost with some tone coloring. I saw that this pedal offered the same thing but with more tone coloring options and less pedalboard real estate.

This pedal took my amp up a notch big time. I'm using a quilter aviator cub, which on its own comes close to sounding like a tube amp, but with this pedal on its pretty much right there. It even makes my Fender GTX100 sound better! This pedal will improve your overall clean tone with any amp.

I rarely write reviews but I'm so impressed with this pedal I had to share. I bought mine mine second hand and would happily buy another at full cost if needed. This pedal is subtle, but what it does is truly magical. It brought my Mesa to life. It's gets the clean channel to that "edge of drive" sound and adds the perfect midrange to the gain channel. More importantly, it changes the feel of the amp, something that the YouTube videos can't really demonstrate. If you want to bring out the best in your amp then consider this pedal.

As like all J Rockett pedals. Made like a tank and always sound great. By far one of the best if not the best boost on the market. Can be totally transparent or dial in your frequency response. Great pedal to hit the front end of your amp. The perfect push.

I've been using this pedal for months now and have to say that it's ability to create fullness and presence in a mix and in a live band situation is phenomenal. It works especially well with single coils and P90s and is generally always on, allowing the perfect tailoring of midrange and harmonic excitement to any type of playing. Works well with overdrive and fuzz pedals, and just allows the guitar to shine and fit perfectly where it needs to.

Magical is the right adjective for this pedal. To me, similar to my Dallas Treble Booster clones (Earthquake Bows, Catalinbread NagaViper) but has that Klon Centaur thing going on without the OD. I have a million and one OD's so I opted for this rather than the Archer Silver or Gold. Love this pedal. Magical, sweet tones that make your amp come alive as do the Bows and NagaViper. I just find this a bit sweeter sounding although I find uses for them all. Stick an OD in front of this keeping this as close to your amp as possible in the chain, and WOW. But setting your amp to clean and allowing this to "boost & color" the sound will also amaze. Can't say enough but probably have said enough. Enough already.........

I"ve been looking for a pedal like this for a long time. I love my vox tone an wanted a boost that kept that tone. I already own the ikon but wasn"t that thrilled about it. This pedal did just what I wanted it to. I also own the morning glory, tumnis and a tube screamer but this color boost will be my go to. It is a must have pedal.
