Elixir Strings 16027 Nanoweb Phosphor Bronze Acoustic Guitar Strings - .011-.052 Custom Light Reviews
Elixir Acoustic Nanoweb strings don't just sound great their micro-thin coating keeps them sounding great for a lot longer than average strings. If you want to keep your guitar tone consistently great day in and day out, put on a set of Elixir Acoustic Nanoweb strings. Their coating actually cuts down on unnecessary finger friction. You'll be amazed at how long they last! Less string changes means having to buy strings less often.
Improved sound on Fender MIM Accoustasonic
I recently bought a MIM Fender accoustasonic Telecaster. I brought it to my local guitar tech for a setup. He put Gibson acoustic 11s strings on it. I don't know which Gibson strings specifically. They sounded fine. After a few months I figured it'd try the Elixir Phosphor Bronze Nanoweb 11-52. It is a definite improvement to my ears. A bit brighter which like. So not necessarily better bc sound is subjective. So far I'm liking them. They feel a little easier to play. Perhaps the Gibson strings had a larger gage on the wound strings. Bottom line is these Elixirs sound and feel good. I'd definitely buy again.
Broken Strings
Although I encountered some issues with installing the electric guitar strings but I must admit that Elixer has excellent customer service. Beyond what most companies of any type would provide. I will be an Elixer client for life. They sound great, feel great, and are all I use on my top instruments. BTW, does Elixer make ukulele strings? I'll certainly find out!
Elixer acoustic strings.
I wouldn't know if they are worth a darn or not considering that they break so easily installing them. I will never by another set of these strings because I may as well play Air Guitar as count on them to being useful. I do not recommend them at all. FL I may and weak.
Fabulous strings
I bought these on the recommendation of my sales engineer, Jacob Terhune. Had used Martin retros on my D-28 until then. These strings brought the sound of that marvelous guitar t o a whole new level. Sound projects with greater authority and tonal accuracy. My husband-in-law who has been playing for 50+ years thought they were awesome-easier to fret and finger pick. I am sold on them.
Finally!
Best Strings for Taylor
So for a long time I've tried different strings for my Taylor 110 acoustic. I searched their site and they recommended the Elixir strings, something I had not tried on this guitar before. I went with the 11-52 set as I wanted a warmer sound. I was blown away. The guitar truly sings now, the strings are amazing and sound crisp but not too twangy. Perfect for my upcoming recordings.
The Best
For the longest time, I'd been shuffling between different brands of acoustic strings. While most of them weren't completely terrible, I was never fully satisfied with their results. I was first introduced to these strings when trying a Taylor at a local guitar shop, and out of curiosity decided to pick up a pack to test on my guitar at home. Since then, I've never looked back. Tone is fantastic, full, and even; feels great against fingertips; long lasting and durable. Plus, given my preference to lighter gauge strings I don't feel like any tone was sacrificed here like I've sometimes found in other brands. I've pretty much tried them all, and I can easily say these, and also the Polyweb Elixir strings, are the best acoustic strings around. Highly recommended!
Elixir Acoustic Phosphor Bronze
Very long lasting string. Even when they start to look bad, they still sound good.
None Better
I've have my Taylor 316ce for three years and have only used Elixirs. Over time I found the .13's to be harder to play, especially longer sessions at church. I was concerned going to a lighter gauge would cause a loss of bass and volume. Concern not required, these .11's are truly amazing on my guitar and are much easier on my left hand. I literally just put a new set on and the lows, highs and volume are incredible. I find this flavor to be warmer and louder than the 80/20's. Definitely my go to strings!
Best String for me
I have 3 Taylor guitars and have had a couple of other brand of guitars as well. Day in day out, the Elixir string is the most comfortable, durable and long lasting. Even when the strings get old, they still have a nice tone and ring to them
