I have this and EZdrummer. Buy both if you can. If not, buy this for the better sounds.

Both are fantastic and each has their strengths. For context, I use drum software a ton. I use it with a midi keyboard, MPC Pads, and a Roland VAD drum kit. Both of these applications have really easy to use mapping functions so I can easily swap around control sources (keyboard, MPC, e-drum kit). I've used both in song writing, production, and sample kit/sound design creation. It is good for all of my use cases. With the right room reverb, compression, and EQ plug-ins - they sound 100% convincing. They are also fantastic starting points for lo-fi/hip-hop drum kit and drum break creation.

The strength of EZdrummer 3 is in the performance nuances (velocity levels, sample layers, etc.) and the song builder. It does not have as many sounds as Additive Drums, but the sounds it does have are very good and very convincing. My advice having gone through all kinds of drum software plugins, the two best are EZdrummer and Addictive Drums. I've tried others beyond those two but was left wanting better sounds and better performance nuances. Buy this and Addictive Drums and you will be all set for most of your acoustic drum kit needs.

The strength of Addictive Drums are the sounds. There are limitless possibilities with all the drum sounds they provide. The sound library in this is the strongest in the market in terms of quality, realism, and sonic nuances. For preset drum sequences, the EZ Drummer has the advantages, but for sheer sound and tonal quality, Addictive Drums wins by a landslide.

This has become a must-have instrument for me and I can't see a future without some variation of this in my rig.
