Power your pedalboard with the Truetone 1 Spot Pro CS7!
36 month financing available* with $349.00 minimum purchase on one invoice. Details
A must for any pedalboard up to probably around a dozen pedals typical. Read my review please.
Awesome
Handles all my pedals perfectly! And you can daisychain the power plugs (if you get your milliamp numbers correct) and really power a lot of pedals!
Poor design, many flaws, low-quality - Spend your money elsewhere
This system has many flaws. I purchased it based off of the positive reviews but after having it for quite some time I have no idea why people seem to like it. I got it to power my guitar pedals and for reference it is connected to a pro-grade power conditioner and therefore not subject to grid issues, etc.
Here's a few of the biggest issues that I have with it:
1) There is no power button or switch. You have to manually unplug it from the wall or the back side of the unit every time you need to power it off. A switch or button would save lots of effort and hassle for, what, an extra $?
2) The voltage switches are on the bottom of the unit instead of the back. You have to flip it over in order to change a setting. This sucks on stage or when recording.
3) The LED is outrageously, blindingly bright to the point that I have it covered in 2 layers of duct tape to dim it - even through the tape it is so bright that it is distracting during my low-light recording sessions.
4) Out of nowhere, the 3rd position power connection failed on me and refuses to provide power anymore.
Perfect Size For Starting Out
I'm only using a few pedals right now but this power supply allows for some growth without having to buy another unit. Also fits perfectly underneath my pedalboard.
Works great.
Worked for my pedaltrain board. Was able to hook up 11 pedals. Sweetwater and Rafael shipped out items fast and always he checks to make sure everything came out as you wanted.
Perfect Pedalboard PS
I am able to power all of my pedals with minimal noise using the CS7. I haven't had it long, but so far I love it. If I run into issues I'll amend this review.
Truetone 1 SPOT PRO CS7 7-output Isolated Guitar Pedal Power Supply
Does what it's designed to do perfectly. I bought the package that included the small PedalTrain board, going that way there was nothing else I needed to get up and going, patch cabels, velcro for attaching the pedals
Works great!
I bought two of these. One for my son's guitar pedalboard and one for me and the FX pedals I use with my synths. It works great! Mounting it to the pedaltrain pedalboard was straightforward. The only problem we've had is wishing we had bought supplies with more ports as we've quickly used up the 6 9V ports. The amperage is great - I have two Strymon pedals, two electroharmonix pedals, and then two other lower amperage pedals and they all work great. Recently, I attached this to a shelf on a small desktop 19" rack after mounting my pedals on blank panels.
I guess your just what I needed.
After floundering with noise in my pedal board for several months, I purchased this power supply. It works perfectly to fix the noise issues coming from a daisy chain power strip and/or a particular pedal. I have 5 pedals that I power with this; an EQ, a Blues driver both in front of my amp, and reverb, delay, and phaser in the loop. Highly recommended!
8+ years and still works fine.
I bought one of these used in 2016. Not sure how long the original owner had it for or how much they used it. I have it on a large pedal board connected to a Walrus Aetos power supply. I see some reviews saying that it is noisy but I've never had a problem with that. Most of my effects pedals are digital and everything is nice and quiet. I've used my pedalboard almost every day since purchasing the CS7 and I've had zero problems with it. I'm about to buy another one for a smaller board that I'm putting together. I would have to say that this power supply is well with the price that I got it for. If it stopped working today I would still feel that I got my money's worth out of it. Recommended.
Its ok
Good power supply , the size and weight is the only inconvenient,
Great
Stopped all my feed back with my pedals
Tidy, no fuss, no hiccups
So far so good with this power supply! The included gear made quick work of all the setup, including mounting the brick to the underside of my Pedaltrain Classic Jr. Instructions were perfectly clear for a first-time board builder. It's an incredible relief to say goodbye to my tangled pile of wall warts for my growing pedal collection.
Wow!
I've owned a couple other Power Supplies from other manufacturers and there has always been a buzz when using a drive pedal (esp Boss). My mini power supply just died and I figured it's time to try 1 Spot. I've had it one night and am already blown away by how quiet my rig is now. I connected it to my pedals, turned on my amp to warm up, went and watered my flowers. Came back in, grabbed my guitar, hit my DS-1, turned up the volume . . . . quiet. I honestly thought my amp turned off. Nope! Not even the slightest buzz. I tweaked my settings all over the place and never got a buzz. I'm so happy! Thanks to Sweetwater and their great finance deals, and I appreciate Max keeping an eye on my orders!
Pedal Board Power supply
Great power supply . Very quiet operation powering digital pedals and not causing the annoying oscillation noise caused by cheap power supplies .
1 Spot Pro CS7
Truetone 1 Spot PRO CS7
I am going to purchase another one! Great product!
Your Best Choice For Power
I've been buying from Truetone since their Visual Sound days in 2004. Great people with great products. I just bought a slightly bigger pedalboard for my acoustic guitar setup and it was a no-brainer to add a 1 Spot Pro power source to the bottom of the board. I've used other sized Truetone power supplies on big and small boards for years. No issues! No noise! Just great clean power. The self-tapping screws make for easy installation under your pedalboard.
This is the one
What can I say? quiet as a mouse, compact affordable, and even comes with mounting brackets and cables. 18v. "B " careful.
Death of the "Buzz"
For years I had feedback through my pedal chain so strong that I couldn't stand to get my deluxe reverb above volume 2. After researching solutions on line, I called Jeremiah, who had provided excellent advice and service in the past. He agreed that this power block likely would help with the problem and proceeded to vet it against each of my pedals to insure complete compatibility. I am now enjoying the incredible bluesy crunch of my amp at volumes as high as 10 again (like before pedals) with no buzziness whatsoever! Many thanks to Sweetwater for their culture and business model and especially to Jeremiah. You will definitely have my business again!
2X the power of most isolated pedal power supplies with a great warranty
Was using one of the competitors' products until it bit the dust shortly after having installed it on my pedalboard. After the addition of two CS7s I won't ever look back.
Adding another one to my board
I have had this exact same power supply on my board for a few years and have 1 powering a dozen pedals (daisychained) after buying 3 more pedals I am adding another to my board to separate the load. I highly recommend this product, I have never had an issue with it and it comes with the mounting bracket. Great product. Thanks for the great service and support from Riley Koenemann ! Sweetwater goes above and beyond any other company.
Great power supply
I've been using this for a year and a half and have had no issues. The only things i would change are: i wish the 18v output was switchable to 9v like the 9/12v outputs are. But it's not a dealbreaker because my korg pitchblack tuner and boss ns-2 have 9v dc outputs i have use for two more 9v pedals. Also kinda wish it came with more of the shorter yellow ended cables. The white ones are a little long for my board. But it works great and mounted under my pedaltrain board perfectly.
Pedalboard power made easy
Bought this specifically because it has an 18 volt output that I needed for a pedal. I have it loaded up even daisy chaining a tuner with a noise gate on one of the 9 volt outs. Runs cool, super quiet - as best as my ears can tell. Plus it came with mounting hardware. What more could one ask for.
Superb product and Steller customer service!
I've had the Truetone CS7 on my pedalboard for over 5 years and its been quiet and flawless. I've also contacted Truetone customer service a couple of times with questions and they have answered and helped me on the spot. High praise for this company and of course Sweetwater as always!
Nice power block
So far so good. Got this as a recommendation from my sales rep Jake. Seems well built and come with mounting brackets that mount well on my pedal train board. Does what it's supposed to like a champ!!
Good power supply, just a little too big to fit under one of my pedalboards
No complaints about the power supply. Works great, no buzz or hum. It will work fine on one of my pedalboards. The only downside is that it is too thick to fit under my second pedalboards.
I'm pleased.
I'm enjoying my new 1Spot Pro CS7 isolated power supply. It sure beats the tangled mess of wires I used to have coming from several individual daisy-chained wall warts (1Spot, 18V, 12V, 9V) and the power strip they were all plugged in to.
My only choice for power
This is my 3rd cs7 and i also have a cs12. Quality product with great customer support. One great thing about 1 spot is the fact you can run a higher rated pedal in an output jack due to the fact that the MA of a jack is not max. The max MA is divided between all jacks automatically. You don't have to worry about figuring out your power needs per pedal as long as you don't go iver the total unit rating your fine.
Excellent
What can I say as always excellent products and excellent service. Thank you Sweetwater
POWER PROBLEM FIXED
With the assistance of my sales representative at Sweetwater, my pedalboard "hummmmm" went away. He acknowledged my email and asked me to bring my equipment in for evaluation. I did, and it was fixed in no time. Thank you, Victor Gomez!
Quiet, Flexible
I bought this as my first foray into having an electric guitar pedalboard. I've been very pleased with how quiet this power supply has been, and I've used it in a couple places where I know from using an amp in the past, that the power may not be the cleanest out of the outlet.
Also great that it has two plugs supplying 500mA. That's enough to power digital pedals (like Strymon).
Truetone 1 Spot Pro CS7
Great power supply for pedalboards. Easily mounts to the bottom of my Pedaltrain board.
Well made, quiet, good value
Solid and reliable power source
I bought this unit for a new, smaller, pedalboard. It was recommended by my Sweetwater guy, Patrick Weaver. I've only had it for a couple weeks but so far it is doing its job. Once you have mounted a power supply to your board, ideally, you shouldn't have to think about it very much again. This little unit meets that criteria with aplomb.
Good quality power supply!
This power supply works great! It's a compact size also, which in my situation at home is good.
I also want to say that the customer service at Sweetwater is incredible! Thanks Lucas Payson!
BEST power supply - TRUE ISOLATED POWER
I am 100% happy with this purchase!!! This is a TRUE isolated power supply (brick). There is absolutely NO NOISE when I plug my pedals into this. Also it's a powerful source for every type of pedal. My advice, don't waste your time buying a cheap power supply because they most likely are not truly isolated. Buy this one instead. Yes, it's more expensive but protecting your pedals is worth the money with a real isolated supply and it's totally quiet! I use to have a Voodoo lab but I sold it because it couldn't power as many types of pedals as the Truetone can. You won't be disappointed!
Well worth it
So I used to use the daisy chained 9 volt power supplies and there always seemed to be some issue with buzzing or clicking with my pedal chain. I never wanted to drop the money on just a power supply but I finally gave in on my latest board build and it was well worth it. No power issues, no hum and no clicking. Also a much cleaner look on board. Only complaint is that it feels like you don't get that many power slots for as bulky as this thing is.
1 SPOT PRO CS7
The power supply, unsung hero of of the pedal board...
The CS7 Pro is a mighty hero indeed! Quietly and reliably supplying my pedal board with solid power
And get your musical goodies from the gear heroes at Sweetwater!
Perfect
I'm new to world of pedals and pedal boards and out of the gate its chaotic with choice. I got this 1 spot Pro with the seven outlets and it was simple and straight forward. Mounted it underneath my pedal train with a power drill, pretty simple. Works great for everything I needed to power. It came with all the cables you need and hardware to install it. Or you could just leave it on the floor depending on your needs. Great product.
Great Experience
Sweetwater's was easy to work with, had amazing customer service, and the product was exactly what I ordered, it works amazing.
Truetone
I own several truetone products and they are all very well made (there customer service is great also). The 1 SPOT PRO CS7
has really cleaned up the noise that I was getting from My wall wort's that I was using. Very solid construction and plenty of power outputs and the mounting brackets worked perfectly. All in all very happy with this purchase. Thanks Sweetwater.
Best purchase yet
This eliminated so many problems in my rig,
Gone are power buzzes, hello cleaner tone!
Good solid power supply
Its a good solid power supply, not getting any electrical interference, simple to use, comes with everything, even mounting brackets, affordable and reliable.
Top notch pedal power with a lot of flexibility
The 1 SPOT PRO CS-7 is a solidly made isolated power supply with a lot of of but flexibility, in terms of pedal power, with a variety of 9V, 9v/12V switchable, and a dedicated 18V outlet. If you need tons of pedals powered, you might consider it's bigger brother, but if this fits your needs, it's a great product.
I-Spot CS7
It is powering my pedal board as I hoped, and serves as backup for the other power unit. The isolation power cables provided
are functional but a little bit short as I have a long run to some of my pedals. It is working as advertised, many thanks to Nick Huskins for his professional and very prompt response. It got here a day earlier than I was expecting!
A must for a Pedaltrain
This hides away underneath your Pedaltrain and powers a lot of pedals. Works great for me.
1 SPOT PRO CS7 Did the trick!
Bought the Truetone 1 Spot Combo Pack, which worked fine with Boss pedals and a MXR Timmy, but not when I added a Source Audio EQ-2. Source Audio worked fine with it's own power pack with the rest of the pedals and had no hum. Should have purchased the 1 SPOT PRO CS7 for the Pedal Train Classic Jr and would have saved time and money! Anyway I'm loving it now and will use the first 1Spot for back-up.
It cleans up a pedal board nicely
Had One Spot wires running all over my pedal board for years, plugged into a power strip, also taking up space on my board. This cleaned things up nicely and can accommodate any pedal you have.
First time using a block like this
I have to say I'm impressed. Very stable power for all 6 of the pedals I have hooked up to it. And absolutely no unwanted noise.
great power supply
I love all of the power options. Great price and great features = A+ gear!
Great Little Power Supply
I have been using this for a smaller board setup and love it. It has tons of power available for some of my pedals drawing a larger current than the standard 100mA. This is a very quiet supply and I wish I would have got this sooner.
Quiet and dependable!
I've tried cheap pedal power bricks - ones that advertise that they are "isolated," only to be as noisy, if not more so, than before. Spent enough on cheap blocks to more than pay for this.
This has worked since day one - no problems, noise, etc. Small enough to be moved around my ever evolving setup, and cheap enough to afford a second for a secondary amp and pedals.
Don't waste your money or time with inexpensive power. It's frustrating and disruptive to creativity. It pays for itself as soon as it's hooked up.
Great Value
This power supply is a great value. I have had a couple Voodoo Lab power supplies before but they are a little pricey.
The Truetone Pro CS7 has higher amperage on their outputs versus the Voodoo Lab and you don't have to use a current doubler cable.
No hum
Perfect and easily mounted under Pedalboard. Powers all pedals with no humming not to mention the wiring is completely concealed which gives my bread a clean look...
Easy to install. Works great.
This power supply works just as it is supposed to. All the cables are included. Suggest watching the online video tutorial on how to mount the power supply on your board
Wonderful silence!
Great product. Not only eliminated excess pedal noise, but also got rid of interference between guitar and amp. It is now quieter to go through my pedal board than to plug right into my amp!
Cs7 power supply
This is a great power supply, I had to return the inexpensive ones that I bought because of noise and David recommended this one. It’s perfect, I couldn’t be happier, the background noise is almost silent.
The sound of Silence
I had daisy chaining 3 pedals , on my pedal board , and was getting a little bit of noise coming thru the amp , so I got to reading the reviews on Sweetwater about the CS7 and went ahead and ordered one, I am very happy with this purchase, now it is dead quiet and I have no noise issues at , and I have the pease of mind knowing my pedals are getting the right amount of power supplied to them , and Truetone has one of the best Warranties in the business, Thank You Alan Carter for hooking me up and Sweetwater
Steal for the money
Fits perfect....no issues with pedals or noise.....the kit is great.
Great piece
Great piece, great price, fits in the tight space under the pedal board. This is one of the most flexible power blocks I have used. I recommend it.
Really nice, right price
Really nice power supply. No hum or buzz and the switchable ports make it very versatile.
I have an old DOD stereo chorus that needs 18 volts and this filled the bill. It takes a 1/4 inch plug so I used the 1/8 inch connector and a 1/8 to 1/4 stereo adaptor without any problems.
While it is lower priced than some others, I don't see more money buying anything better.
My third true tone
Definitely the best bang for the buck, no other brands compare for the same price.
Love this power supply
This was my first external power supply for my first pedal board and I think it's a great (and quiet) power supply. I mounted it under a PedalTrain Classic Jr and have six pedals plugged into it. I did a lot of research before buying this and couldn't be happier with the purchase. After buying this product I helped a friend put together a board and we went with the TrueTone CS6 ------ it's great too.
Wish it was thinner but Its Powerful overall
I wish that it was a little bit thinner but this thing is loaded with power. Definitely something I am satisfied with !
It hits the spot
Line up your pedals and plugem into this baby and you won't CryBaby. The choice is not Fuz(zy). No warts in your wall ,just a rock musician standin tall.
Perfect supply for my PT1 Pedaltrain Board
I'd been using 1 Spot wall wart style power supply for years. Decided to finally upgrade so I could have guaranteed isolation and a quieter board. In addition, I now can run my OCD at 18vdc. It works perfectly. The install was easy and is still flexible enough for my changing pedal needs.
Power without the noise
There are a lot of potential sources for noise in the chain. Don"t let your power supply be one of them. True isolation and plenty of power and options with this unit. And Sweetwater"s service was superb. Thanks Todd!
Forget all the other power supplies, 1Spot is the way to go.
Any noise that I was dealing with when using the 1Spot daisy chain setup was totally gone after swapping it out for the CS7. Super easy to mount under my Pedaltrain Classic Jr. The capabilities of this thing are unparalleled for the price. I have a couple of high-draw devices on my board (a Line 6 relay G30 wireless receiver and an old digital delay pedal), and this powers everything without breaking a sweat. It's also nice to not have to rely on phantom power for my Tone Hammer DI since the CS7 has an 18V output. Nothing else beats this power supply for the price.
All I needed
Does the job, is built like a tank, it"s not noisy, good design, good cables length and is cheaper than most of the other ones
Awesome
So good I never think about it.
I chose the Truetone 1 SPOT PRO because I'd been using a 1 SPOT w/daisychain and never had a problem. The unit came with brackets, and had a picture of my pedal board so it was a snap to install. The only tool you need is a drill with a screwdriver bit. They say you don't need to drill guide holes, but it's faster if you do. You need a decently powerful drill to set the screws in an aluminum frame. Pro Tip: Break out the tape measure and center the power supply. That way you'll have enough power cables of the various lengths.
Silence is golden
With so many companies offering so many different power supplies, I was a bit skeptical when choosing the Truetone CS7. After installing it underneath my pedal board, I am sold. Super quiet operation. It comes with all the cables you will need. It also come with mounting hardware, so you don't have to purchase that seperate.
I was experiencing some noise from an OD I was using. Once in installed this power supply, the unwanted noise was gone.
I highly recommend this unit.
Pedal nirvana
This isolated power supply is just what i needed. Priced reasonable with 8 inputs. There is nothing beeter for the price. Since using it my pedals all run clean and i have room for expansion on my board. I do wish it had a on off switch built in. It is a pain to unplug each time of use.
Super Quiet
I've owned other power supplies before and always had some noise issues but the 1 Spot Pro CS7 is quiet and stable. Ever since I installed it on my board I've stopped worrying about buzz. Of course, now I need the larger model. I hope it's as good.
Good product at a good price
Seems solidly built. Wish it was more streamlined so it could fit better below the pedal board. I don"t care for the poorly designed 9V/12V switches. The blue led light is nice. Powers all of my pedals and I haven"t had any isssues so far. I would say it"s a good product that does the job at a good price.
Awesome power supply!
This is a great isolated power supply unit for people that want a quality power supply without spending an arm and a leg. It easily powers all 10 of my stompboxes with a few daisy chains on analog pedals, isolating power hogs (digital delays!) and having an isolated power supply definitely keeps things quiet even when using noisy gain pedals (Big Muffs!) Easy to install and does exactly what you need it to do. A great product from the great customer service of Sweetwater! Thanks Miles!
truespot
So far works great plenty of power for my 5 pedals
Would buy it again and again
It's nice that you can run a daisy chain and have multiple pedals on one port if they don't take up all the MA on that port. I have 9 pedals connected and saves a lot of outlets from plugging in multiple pedals. I don't need anything bigger unless I keep adding pedals, then I'll get the 12 port version. Thanks again Riley Koenemann for the great customer service and product suggestions. Sweetwater has the best customer service/sales/support out of any other retailers.
Too Notch
Consistently on top of their game. The service has been Top Notch since day one.
Being that I am starting to get into the effect pedal world, there are a lot of things to consider, and my sales representative Sean has been guiding in the right direction, always in a professional manner and his knowledge has been priceless.
I"ve been a Sweetwater customer for 3 years now, have had the same sales representative so I know he is my go too guy.
I"ll remain loyal to those who give great customer service and a fine line of equipment to choose from.!
Thanks
Nice Clean Power
I own 2 of these and you really can hear the difference compared to cheaper power supplies. Thanks!
Cured some pedal ailments caused by a cheesy power supply
After building my first pedal board a year ago, I picked up a low end power supply, but it caused some odd problems: my tuner would pop when switching, and a couple of pedals added noise. These issues would stop when individual power supplies were used. After reading some reviews and doing some price shopping,I picked up this unit from Sweetwater. All previous issues are gone; very happy with the unit.
Wish I'd had this years ago
Powers everything in my floor setup; even that pesky 18v-recommended OCD pedal gets the right juice. My temperamental fuzz pedal sounds better than ever before. And setup/breakdown are so much quicker than with 4-5 wall warts. It would be nice if the included cables were a little bit longer, but they're getting the job done. Overall, I'm very happy with this one.
reliable power
Just a few words about the Truetone 1 spot CS7 isolated power supply. This one does the job for me. It provides reliable and clean power for my pedal board. No more batteries or separate 9V transformers! The coolest part for me is no unwanted noises. Plugging in one power cord to power all my effects is cool, too. Thanks Josh Sackett and the gang at Sweetwater.
Truetone 1 Spot Pro CS7
Bought to use under my Pedaltrain Classic Jr, and it fit perfectly and works great. Wish it had a couple more outputs, but for my present needs it is fine.
Excellent!
Quietly powers all my pedals (to include two big Strymons.) I highly recommend this to anyone looking for a powerful and quiet power supply. It includes several connection options too.
I'm considering the CS12 when my pedal board grows. Buy it!
An Excellent Power Supply
This power supply is great for smaller boards. It works beautifully. It is absolutely silent, and makes a huge (definitely noticeable) difference in the sound quality of the pedals, even compared to the 1 Spot daisy chain power supplies.
Convenience in a Box
After several years playing modeling amps, I recently purchased a new tube combo and shortly thereafter started collecting pedals again. As we all know, it doesn't take many pedals running on individual power supplies to result in a noisy mess.
Enter the Truetone 1 SPOT PRO. This thing provides isolated power for each my pedals, and reduces noise within the signal chain (my experience...YMMV). It makes setting up a pedalboard super convenient, and I'm not sure what else one could ask for.
I am very happy with my purchase, and with Sweetwater's excellent customer service and fast delivery.
Short Review
I received the 1 Spot Pro CS7 about three weeks ago; I have been looking for an additional power supply that was small enough to fit under my pedal board, side-by-side, next to another power supply. The 1 Spot fit perfect and in my opinion is the best little power supply that I own and is worth a 5 Star rating for price, quality, and it works as advertised. Once again, thank you to Aaron Cieslikowski for expert advice and help.
Power Supply
There are many other power supplies to choose from. This one was the perfect choice for my needs. It fits on my board perfectly! I only run 5 pedals currently but this will allow for a bit of expansion later for a wireless. The main appeal is the size for the capability. It's perfect! The Sweetwater sales engineer, Evan N., made this recommendation based on my needs and budget. Once again, extremely satisfied with he choice!
Silent Pedal Power
The 1 Spot Pro CS7 gives silent power to 8 pedals. I hooked it up and tried it out at rehearsal. It's a great product at a reasonable price. No more noisy daisy chains for me!
Perfect Power
This little power supply was everything that I needed and more! It installed pretty effortlessly onto my Pedaltrain Novo and was completely hidden away. I was able to use every jack for each one of my pedals and it also powered my One Control Iguana Tail Loop Switching Pedal. I really liked the option to run some pedals like the Xotic SP and EP at 18VDC.
Truetone 1 Spot Pro CS7
I am new to the pedal board world. I put mine together with Chorus, Reverb, Distortion, Delay ,Volume, and was using a daisy-chain power supply. Things were sounding OK. After doing some research, I decided to get the CS7, hooked it up and immediately noticed a difference in the quality of the sounds coming from my pedals. Way more consistent. Maybe I'm dreaming, but it works great. Another quality product from Sweetwater.
Better Value, Noiseless operation
My pedal board includes pedals for both acoustic and electric guitars and consists of vintage and newer pedals. I had been using another companies power brick (which was way more exspensive) and I would get a ton of noise when certain pedal combinations are triggered. (8 pedals in all) I guess the vintage ones just couldn"t get along with some of the new, digital pedals. Anyways, presto. First time I powered everything up the buzz from the vintage pedals was gone. I had to crank the amp just to hear it a little. I"m satisfied. Always loved the original 1spot so this all makes perfect sense.
CS7
This is a great power supply. It really cleaned up my signal. It was the perfect size for my pedal board. I went with this over the cs6 to save a few bucks, but it's virtually the same (except size) because I don't have a use for the 18v power. But it's profile takes up less room on my board than the cs6. Very happy with this product so far.
Very noisey
Terrible power supply, great at inducing noise into your pedals. Horribly noisey, tried 2 different power supplies from Truetone had same issue. Totally worthless.
Great power supply
I purchase it"s big brother power supply and realized I needed more power. I am new to power supplies but so far I really like this brand. Quite, lots of useable outputs, I like how they are 200 milliamps not the usual 100, and switchable to 12 volt if need be. Overall a great purchase. I am new to Sweetwater but I like there customer service, they have earned my loyalty that"s for sure.
Solid and quiet
I had been using a 1 spot daisy chain setup but since I had one 18v pedal and another that needed 9v at 500mA, I decided to try this pro CS7 and it's just great. It's totally quiet and it was simple to set up.
Awesome power supply
Tucks away nicely if you have a Pedaltrain Board with an angle. I used a daisy chain setup prior to this and this blows the daisy chain away! Nice and neat and powers a nice variety of pedals. You won"t be disappointed with this unit. I have two CS7 units and a CS12 which is the same basic power supply as this one only bigger.
Awsome product!!!
Works good. I like it a lot!!!
Only two things i noticed.
1: I wish there was a different mount for a flat bottom peddle board, not peddletrain...
2: on the demonstrational video the gentleman states that as long as you're petals milliamps does not exceed the power supply milliamps things will work fine. But I noticed when I hooked my Shure glxd wireless system to one of the 9/12 volt, 200 milliamp slots and was having slight RF issues. Then I hooked it up to one of the 500 milliamp slots and it seemed to work fine...
an excellent buy
Nothing bad to write about, all good with this piece of gear. easy to install and fits perfectly under my pedaltrain pedalboard without issues. has plenty of power to spare and zero noise of course, that excludes single coils strat pups.. As always,Thank you Tad Shafer Sweetwater (SE)
Good Bang For Your Buck Power Supply
I selected the 1 Spot Pro CS7 because it had a enough high enough juice to power some digital pedals like my Atomic Ampli-Firebox, my Zoom MS50G, my Vox Delaylab, and even my Line6 wireless receiver. It's priced lower than some of those other power power supplies that provide less current to most of their outputs. I have no complaints. It works!
Great product at a fair price!
I just finished setting up a new pedal board and the Truetone CS7 seems to be a great power supply for my set up! I will undoubtedly be buying more Truetone products in the future.
Excellent
This is a great piece of equipment. It fit the bill for all of my needs and it's completely clean and quiet.
Quiet Power
I've used this power supply for about a month now and it's great. It provides all the power I need for my pedals with no noise whatsoever. Funny how the best part of my gear is the piece you can't hear.
Best bang for the buck
This is the first time I've had dedicated isolated power for my pedalboard. The difference is obvious. My effects chain is much quieter and cleaner now. No weird unexplained buzzing and no wall warts hanging from a power strip anymore. My board is tidy, organized and looks so much better. The fact that this unit also comes with brackets, power cables of different lengths and adaptors make it a no brainer. Dead easy to understand and put together.
quiet in a great way
got this power supply for my guitarist son as i was tired of him having wall warts and power cables strewn everywhere plus the annoying 60 cycle hum from all the different pedals reacting to each other. soon as he started using this i noticed what was not there....the noise! cleaned up his signal significantly and made it much more enjoyable to play along with him. (I'm the lead musician at our church and he plays lead guitar.) clean clear signal and plenty of power to run his ax3000 and several other pedals that give him the tone he wants. now if only i could get him and our other guitarist to blend his levels better so their amps don't overpower the FOH and the rest of the near-silent stage ;-)
Trutone 1 spot pro
Great product. Nice quite.
Love it
My pedals sound great and my rig is so quiet! Digital and analog pedals all play nice together. Mounting on Pedaltrain 2 was neat and easy. Switched from a Pedalsnake rig when a channel failed and was a nightmare to troubleshoot on the gig. This is much easier and more roadworthy.
Great
Well made, solid power, no noise in any of my pedals. Much better than the 1 Spot daisy chain wall wart I was using before. The 18V output is perfect for my Pigtronix Philosopher Bass which is much happier on 18V and until now had to be powered by a separate wall wart. There are much cheaper power supplies around the web that claim to be isolated but are not really. Get a real one! Garbage in = garbage out when it comes to audio gear.
This was a clutter saver!
Really great for small pedal boards and if you need more power spots you can get a daisy chain. Works great when mounted under pedaltrain boards.
Quiet & Powerful
There seems to be a bad rap on switching power supplies regarding noise. The conventional wisdom is that the older transformer technology is quieter (e.g. Voodoo Labs). I'm not an electrical engineer, but I'm running several high-end digital pedals (Source Audio delay, reverb, fuzz, TC Electronics Subnup) off the CS7 and my board is DEAD QUIET. Strymon themselves are making switching power supplies now (at a higher price), and I assume they know what they are doing. So anyway, this it the one. Most bang for the buck, hands down.
Liking it...alot
Really digging this little power supply...had to replace another (different brand) and this had a little more options, higher rating (ma)...Whats to say it does what it supposed to do...very well.
1 Spot Pro works as advertised.
powerful and quiet
I used a Dunlop Juice Box for like, 20 years. I also have one of the original Line6 DL4s, and it's power supply. Playing with any gain at all at band volumes made for a real ocean-type roar and we could only have band conversations when I turned the volume all the way down.
I've had this for two weeks now and have played loud a few times and it's just, like, REALLY quiet. I don't ride the amp volume any more.
I'm powering an Empress compressor, an MXR boost, 2 ODs, a MicroP POG, a Pitchfork, a Superego, a DL4 and sometimes a Super Pulsar. All with no problems and nearly no noise. I love it.
Truetone 1 Spot Pro CS7
Great power supply even when compared to much pricier brands! Super quiet, lightweight, and heavy duty. The cables that come with the supply are a heavy great quality as well and I love the grounded main power cable. I had a problem with a lesser supply I had purchased from Sweetwater so I decided to upgrade and Dan took care of me and hooked me up with this great supply!
Truetone 1 Spot and Sweetwater
Truetone 1 Spot Pro CS7 is well-built, well-designed, and quiet. The blue LED provides plenty of light below the pedalboard to see that the unit is powered. There are plenty of isolated power outputs to accommodate the six pedals I'm currently using. I installed the Truetone under a Pedaltrain Jr. and installation was fast and easy thanks to the included mounting brackets and instructional video. A big thanks to my sales engineer, Brent Leuthold, for recommending the perfect pedalboard solution.
Quiet and well built
Good quality stuff here. This unit is quiet and has plenty reserve current to run all my pedals. This thing is very well built. I will be buying another one.
Superb power supply
As a bass player its hard to find a great power supply that has a lot of juice but isn't made for 10+ pedals that a guitar player would use. This easily powers my Eventide H9, compressor, overdrive, and octave pedal and is very quite and reliable. I play three services on Sunday so this stays plugged in from 7:30 am call time 'till 2:30 when the last service ends. No noise and no heat at the end of the day. I would recommend this piece for anyone building a compact rig with Eventides or Strymons on their board. Thanks for all your help Dave Snow!
michael k from reno
this power brick is excellent.I have had it for 1 month now, and everything is so clear sounding .I switched back to all of the power supplies that were shipped with each units and it wasn't as clear and not the same tonal quality.Let alone how clean my pedal board is now with all the clutter gone,I wish I could of had this power brick 20 years ago.Jonathan is my rep and give him a call, you will love this.My chain for solo acoustic guitar, voicelive play,GTX,fishman aura,TC helicon looper, and TC helicon mic mechanic. And now it is so clean that I can go directly to my cubase 8,and wave lab9.And just to mention,I love my turbosound inspire 2000.I have never heard or had a system so clear sounding. Thanks again Sweetwater,I will never buy from anyone else.
Sound of Silence
After comparing my guitars with pedals and direct, I realized that I had a huge amount of noise coming from all of the pedals and the individual wall warts. Did some research and because of price point and reviews, decided to go with the CS7. The result is there is virtually no difference in noise level now - very quiet! And as another reviewer mentioned, the pedals seem to sound better. Would definitely say that this is an essential purchase. The power supply seems quite well made, and includes most necessary cables, as well as a nice heavy duty power cable. Once I see how it holds up for a few months, I will probably bump it up to a "5". Very happy with this purchase!
most exciting boring purchase yet
I had been using a daisy chain on a barely adequate adapter to power several pedals. I somewhat reluctantly ordered this to meet power needs, and knew it would do something to get rid of noise. This thing changed my entire rig. Not only is my amp silent when not playing, I had to adjust all my pedals because they sound completely different in a fantastic way. This is not a boring purchase. Feed your starving pedals.
Quiet operation
Brick provides quiet reliable operation.
Trutone 1 Spot
Best move I could have done as far as powering all my effects.
Great Pedalboard Power Source
Just received my 1 Spot Pro CS7 and this power source is the bomb! Easily mounted to my Pedaltrain Classic Jr. board. (Sweetwater has a great video showing the mounting process)
Powers my Korg tuner, VFE Blues King OD, Mad Professor Simble OD, MXR Carbon Copy Delay, and Strymon Flint (tremolo/reverb) without problem.
Once again, kudos to Sweetwater and my sales engineer, Nick Schenkel, for providing quality products and stellar customer service.
Truetone power supply is great.
This is my first pedal board power supply. It rocks! Nice, clean power. Makes all of my pedals sound better. I was using a 1 Spot knock-off before this. This blows it away.
#1 power supply
It's just a power supply, but definitely a 5 star. Great for my pedal board. Powers a Zoom G3(9v 500mA), Fulltone (18v), and BB Preamp (9v). Very happy, been using it for a month. Remember, watch your mA's, very important.
Versatile
Saves time. Less clutter.
Great Product
Seems to be built really well and does what it is supposed to do!
quiet and time saving
Excellent all around. Just wish it had a 15v outlet for my Radial preamp.easy mount on my pedaltrain board.nice product.
Excellent
I own a Voodoo Lab Pedal Power mondo which I use mainly in the studio. It's really fantastic, clean & reliable power. I bought the 1 Spot Pro for touring in Europe because it can do 100-240v. It is every bit as reliable and clean as the Voodoo Lab. Just connect an IEC cable with Euro or UK adapter and voila. The 18 volt connection is also a big plus. Really impressive!
