Elixir Strings 19074 Optiweb Electric Guitar Strings - .010-.059 Light/Heavy 7-string Reviews

.010-.059 7-string Light/Heavy Gauge Electric Guitar Strings, Nickel Plated Steel

With their Optiweb technology, Elixir is offering their most natural-feeling and -sounding electric guitar strings yet. Aimed at players who want the same feel and sound as an uncoated string, the Optiweb electric guitar strings are specially engineered to allow the string to vibrate freely. They also offer a precise grip on the strings, which Sweetwater players appreciate for bending and wide vibrato techniques. If you want strings that last, while still enjoying the experience of untreated strings, check out the Elixir Optiwebs.

The solution to acidic sweat

By Adam from Kentucky on February 28, 2020 Music Background: 16 years of guitar playing

Let me start off by saying that I am not a fan of the nanoweb or polyweb Elixer strings. They're insanely durable yes, but the feel and tone was always a little off, in addition to sometimes having thick chunks of the coating fraying off through use. I've not had that issue with the optiweb strings. They feel VERY close to an uncoated string, maybe the slightest bit slicker. However they feel miles better than the aforementioned nanoweb and polyweb strings. Tone is the same as an uncoated string. They've also held up very well, I've put a ton of hours on these strings, (probably 2 hours a day on average and I've had them about a month and a half, so close to 70 hours), and they are still completely corrosion free and good as new. I kill uncoated strings in less than a week, these are a god send if you're like me.
