Stephen Gray
Stephen Gray
At age 19, I Packed up my car with nothing but some clothes, a Gibson SG and a Marshall stack and moved to Los Angeles. I quickly threw myself into the music trenches and immediate began working on projects with Warren Huart and a little unknown singer songwriter named Meg Myers.
Eventually I learned the ins and outs of live sound by running my own night (Club Ambient) at the infamous Cat Club on the sunset strip. That grew into booking indie and shoegaze acts all around town (The Goodhurt, Zen Sushi and Spaceland)
The skills I developed running live sound, I eventually put into good use in the studio. After forming a band in Chicago called (DoubleSpeak) I entered Sylvia Massy's studio in Ashland to produce and engineer an E.P to the best of my ability.
That E.P would eventually lead to work with Ken Andrews of Failure and the Grammy award winning producer David Bottrill.
The next step was trying to replicate those results at home !
I feel my journey as a producer and musician have really given me a strong empathy for the customers at Sweetwater. I know first hand the anxiety and challenges that you face when recording at home. It can can take toll on your self esteem and leave you second guessing not just your product choices but your creative choices as well.
I am here, not only as a sales engineer, but as a cheerleader for the customers at Sweetwater. Its my job not to just sell them the right product, but to keep them going down this creative endeavor we call music.
As your personal contact here at Sweetwater, please let me know anytime I can offer help or advice.

Absolutely amazed by the personal service on our order! It is obvious customer satisfaction is a priority. Your company would be the first place we would look for music related items. Great prices, great service and BTW, even the little touch of adding some candy made my kids very pleased! Thank you!
