Norb Berninger
Norb Berninger
After growing up singing and playing the trumpet in church, my attention eventually turned to recorded music. I began to collect records and pay attention to the way certain records sounded. I began recording and creating music using a 4-track tape recorder, later expanded to the Roland VS-880, and eventually upgraded to digital recording. I formed a live band called Invisible Satellites which showcased my expanding songwriting and singing capabilities. I later entered Kent State University's Music Technology Degree program. Through that, I have had the opportunity to record various types of groups, not only in a professional studio, but in a live environment as well.
Another key ingredient has been the ability to develop my skills in the art of mixing. Most recently, I produced and engineered a recording session for the local super group Scarlet & The Harlots. This experience allowed me to personally develop and hone a unique sound for this band. I am not simply content to learn what is expected, but constantly want to learn new techniques and methods that allow me to convey music in a new way.
It's a joy to use this range of experiences and apply them to help my customers find solutions to their music and audio needs.
As your personal contact here at Sweetwater, please let me know anytime I can offer help or advice.
