What was your occupation before coming to Sweetwater?
I've been Audio Engineering since 2006 with a bunch of very different from Rock to Electronic, and even a book soundtrack. I also did system design and install on the side.

Why did you first apply for a job at Sweetwater?
When Sweetwater first opened their campus on Route 30, I took a company tour. I was blown away by the entire experience-the service, the facility, and incredible gear. I had to make myself a part of it.

Instruments you play:
I've been playing guitar since age 8. I also play bass, drums, mandolin, banjo, as well as anything with keys. It's been mostly my RD-2000 lately. Traditionally it's been a lot more synths. I still have my Prophet Rev2 which is were I spend a lot of time.

Family info:
I've been married to my beautiful wife Jessica since 2009. We have three kids together-Vance, Kyla and Ali. Two dogs, Mazie, who is half German Shepard and half Box and Cooper is is mostly Australian Shepard

Other stuff we should know about you (hobbies, talents, interests, etc.):
I'm a homesteader. Complete with chickens, gardens, and solar panels. I'm really into mountain biking and go often with my son. I play a lot of music with my kids and for my church.

What do you enjoy most about being part of the Sweetwater team?
Everything! Sweetwater is an incredible place to work-the people, the facility, and especially the customers! I leave everyday with new ideas, new music to listen to, and lots of great stories.

I've worked with a wide variety of artists. To name a few: Billy Gibbons, Manchester Orchestra, Noah Kahan, Gov't Mule, Minus the Bear, Chainsmokers, Kenny G, Gogol Bordello, Seether, etc.

I really hated the idea of having a "sales guy" when I first purchased from Sweetwater. The follow-up, post-sale calls and catch up calls and so on. It made me think of when I was in the car business and pushed to harass former customers to buy buy buy again again again. I have to say though, Mike Godlove has done a great job. He's turned me around 180 on the idea. He's not pushy. He knows his stuff. I don't feel a bias towards any product other than the best one to do the job I need. He's helpful with purchases but also with returns or anything else I need from Sweetwater. I just contact Mike for whatever I need and he sorts it out for me. It's nice to have someone I don't have to repeat everything to each time and he remembers I prefer contact by email as I have little time to take phone calls. So you won me over Sweetwater. Your business model works and your employees work even harder.

First thing is I am a professional musician with Two Time Grammy nominated with 5 CD’s and just pick up an award this pass weekend in Los Angeles from the Akedemia Awards. Enough about me. LOL Mike Godlove has been my rep for several years now, it has been so long I cant remember how many but more than just a few. Having mentioning everything I said. Mike is on my speed dial.
