I am a former educator with over 20 years of live sound reinforcement experience. Thanks to my education experience, I am intimately familiar with the needs, budgetary restraints, and purchasing processes of educational institutions. While teaching elementary and secondary classes, I produced audio, video, and lighting for various venues. I also sequenced music, ranging from three minute cues to 90 minute shows, for several clients. I am still involved in live production and have expanded to live recording, using my experience to provide the very best support for my clients. My music training has also given me performance opportunities on various instruments in many different styles, which benefits my performing customers.

In addition to my music education degree, I completed Sweetwater University, and hold Avid, Focusrite RedNet, SSL, Vivitek, and Agogee certifications.

Why did you first apply for a job at Sweetwater?
As a teacher, I was taking on more technology and production responsibilities because of my prior experience. I decided it was time to make a choice between education and technology. Thanks to Sweetwater's education division, I was able to combine the two.

Other stuff we should know about you (hobbies, talents, interests, etc.):
I have an abnormal obsession with computer encryption and security. I am continually upgrading and tweaking my home network even though there is no reason for anyone to try to hack it. When I think about anything, I have to make a new spreadsheet.

Guilty pleasure of choice:
When no one is around I will play video games, then deny it if asked.

What in your background prepared you most to help your customers with their audio needs?
I wanted to understand the signal flow of every electronic system I came across, so I took time to follow every cable I could find from the television at home to the sound system at church.

What do you enjoy most about being part of the Sweetwater team?
I tell people I work in a big toy store. I love being able to get my hands on the latest gear and use it myself.
