Matt Masek
Matt Masek
Hi! I've been with Sweetwater since 2007. Before coming here, I earned a degree in Recording Arts and Technology from a college in Cleveland, Ohio. While there, I was in a successful band for a few years playing bass guitar and singing backup vocals. Having worked as well at several studios in the Cleveland area, I owned and operated my own project studio called West Park Studios. I've recorded and mixed everything from rock, to ska, to hip hop. From the training I receive from manufacturers on a weekly basis, to my education and experience in the industry, I have the tools to help you with your gear, and I look forward to helping you with your choices!
As your personal contact here at Sweetwater, please let me know anytime I can offer help or advice.

Why did you first apply for a job at Sweetwater?
I was a customer of Sweetwater for a few years and always loved the service and knowledge of my Sales Engineer. When I got engaged, I started looking for a job that had better hours and steady income instead of going from gig to gig. The trouble was finding something that was still involved with music. Sweetwater was the perfect fit!

What did you dream about doing for a living when you were growing up?
When I was 3, I had this toy cardboard guitar. I loved playing with it. One day while I was playing with it, my parents asked me what I wanted to be when I grew up. Of course, I told them a rock n roll star!
-
What is the most important thing you've learned at Sweetwater?

There's so many talented artists I've had the pleasure to work with. Most recently I've worked with the keyboard player for Mariah Carey and the guitar player for Katy Perry.

I purchased a pair of studio monitors and one was bad. I called Matt and he acted immediatly by sending a shipping label and told me that a replacement will be on the way-just put the bad speaker in the new box and we're good. Great guy, great response. Thanks to the whole team, but a little extra for Matt!

Matt Masek is very helpful and knows the products! He has been a great help to me and always seems to go above and beyond whenever I have customer interactions with him either on the phone or through email. Some are good at knowing the product and some are good at customer service. Matt excels at both!

In my many years as a musician, I’ve never come across a more knowledgable, attentive, friendly, and easy to work with sales associate than Matt Masek. In a world where things are becoming less and less personal I truly appreciate his assistance.

Matt is a delight to deal with all the time. That new zoom unit that I purchased was the easiest transfer from box to stage that I’ve ever experienced. And Matt picked out the absolute perfect guitar cable. I love the speed of the order and the efficiency of his check back. Thanks so much
