I LOVE GEAR. I've been a gear nut since I bought my first recording system at the age of 17, a Fostex A8 Reel to Reel recording deck with matching mixer. Outside of my love for music and lust for technology, I have spent loads of time training, educating, and practicing my craft as an engineer and musician.
-As a child, I was trained in piano for 8 years, until high school and sports came along, then it wasn't cool to play Beethoven anymore.
-Picked up guitar after I blew out my knee and couldn't play basketball my senior year. That was when the recording bug bit me.
-Graduated from the Conservatory of Recording Arts & Sciences, then interned at Emerald Entertainment in Nashville, TN.
-Worked for 6 years as lead Pro Tools Engineer at OneMusic in Nashville, TN, specializing in audio for video, commercials, tv/movie placement, and post production.
-Have operated my own home studio since 1996, writing and recording myself as well as other select clients.
In summary, my experience, education, and love for gear have given me the confidence and technical knowledge to be able to understand the needs of my customers, and to be able to recommend the best solution to help them achieve their goals.
