Kevin McMillan
Kevin McMillan
I started playing music in 1st Grade, when my great grandmother sat me down at a piano bench and began to teach me the different notes. From there I was hooked! I would spend hours practicing and improving as much as I could, and would play at her small church on Sunday's (my very first "gig"). Ever since that moment, I became captivated by the power of music, and I knew that I wanted to be a part of this world for the rest of my life.
As I grew up, I sought out opportunities to refine my craft and gain more experience in the music industry. I was fortunate enough to work with several churches in the area, providing audio, lighting, and media services while also leading worship on occasion. Eventually, I was recruited to work for an international ministry where I served as the music director, tech director, and team manager for a group of 23 individuals who traveled across the United States and internationally hosting conferences. During my time with this team, I was able to perform on stages around the world, gaining invaluable experience in working with various equipment, technicians, and musicians.
My passion for music extends beyond performance and into the technical aspects of music production. I take pleasure in learning about the different gear and equipment that people use and the reasoning behind their choices. My extensive experience in churches has allowed me to gain a broad knowledge of different musical instruments, including drums, keys, guitars, live audio, recording, lighting, vocals, and more.
At Sweetwater, I am committed to providing you with the tools you need to tell your story through music. Every individual has a unique narrative, and music is one of the most impactful ways to express it. I am excited about the prospect of working with you and will do everything in my power to help you achieve your musical aspirations.
Thank you for considering my services, and I look forward to the opportunity to work with you.
