I have a passion for playing music. I bought a drum set when I was 16 years old, and shortly after, my first acoustic guitar. I took lessons and progressed to playing in bands with friends and church. I have a Bachelor's Degree in Worship/Music Ministry from Liberty University where I studied music theory and Jazz guitar.
I have had a lifelong career in the music industry; working in music stores as an instructor, a retail salesman, and a studio engineer. I've also worked for a sound system installation company that serviced an array of venues.
My diverse experience playing multiple instruments, as well as being behind the console running live sound/recording in the studio, allows me to give you solid advice to help you on your music journey.
I look forward to being able to serve you not only with technical experience, but also with the genuine care and respect that is The Sweetwater Difference.

Where are you from originally?

What was your occupation before coming to Sweetwater?
I worked a hybrid position at a music retailer that included being an instructor, a retail salesman, and I also ran the recording studio.

Why did you first apply for a job at Sweetwater?
I applied for a job at Sweetwater because of the reputation that had been built for great customer service as well as professional technical expertise. I also enjoyed getting candy in all of my Sweetwater packages!

Technical strengths:
I do my best work as being a front of house engineer for live sound. In the recording studio, I am proficient with Logic Pro.

Instruments you play:
I am a guitar player first. Both electric and acoustic. Drums is a close second. I've played bass guitar for several bands. I also play and have taught piano.

Gear you own:
Mostly guitar-related equipment. PRS electrics. Taylor Acoustics. Strymon and Univeral Audio pedals in addition to the Helix.

Family info:
I've been married to my beautiful wife Felicia since 2009. We have three boys, Logan, Levi, & Noah.

Other stuff we should know about you (hobbies, talents, interests, etc.):
Besides music, I also like to play/watch any type of sport. Even golf. I was on the golf team in High School.

What do you enjoy most about being part of the Sweetwater team?
What I enjoy the most is that the leadership team here at Sweetwater really does care about "doing the right thing for the customer". I've heard that phrase at least 10 times every day that I've been here at Sweetwater.
