Geoff Allen
Geoff Allen
Greetings! My name is Geoff Allen, and I have been with Sweetwater as a Sales Engineer since June, 2010. I brought with me to Sweetwater my experience as a live musician and sound engineer. To supplement my real world experience, I studied Musical Theory, Composition, and Recording in college at SUNY Binghamton and Albany.
Today, I continue to perform live as a guitarist and operate a studio. I am a bit of a "gear-head" and I pride myself on being able to speak knowledgeably about the products that I've personally used. There's nothing better than passing that knowledge along to my customers. I am confident that I can provide solutions, no matter the size of the task, to a diverse range of clients.
As your personal contact here at Sweetwater, please let me know anytime I can offer help or advice.

What in your background prepared you most to help your customers with their audio needs?
Being an engineer and a musician, I excel at being able to put myself in the shoes of the end user and develop solutions from that perspective. My roots in intricate guitar rig design taught me to be very detail oriented and also that there is not always just one solution to a particular situation. I carry these same principles into designed studios and live sound rigs. I strive to recommend gear that I trust and that I feel is the absolute right thing for my customers.
-
What do you enjoy most about being part of the Sweetwater team?
The variety of customers that I service. I enjoy being able to switch gears from home studios, to guitar rigs, to commercial studios, churches, schools, etc. and being able to "cross-polinate" my knowledge in these different applications to provide a multitude of different perspectives.
-
What is the most important thing you've learned at Sweetwater?
The most important I have learned at Sweetwater is to never make assumptions.

Geoff Allen has been a really terrific sales rep and I am glad he is assigned to me. He has helped make my shopping experience much better without any high pressure sales tactics. When he has offered up items to me, they have been well suited to my interests - and a quality buy! Geoff has been really helpful when I have had questions and has given me terrific advice when I needed it. Because of Geoff, I will continue to shop with Sweetwater in the future.

Geoff Allen always provides easy going, top shelf customer service. He made sure everything (set up, plek'ing, new tuners, etc) was done as I asked for and provided further recommendations. I honestly prefer shopping locally, but Geoff's customer service and tips keep me coming back. Sweetwater's customer service is always above and beyond!

Geoff, although we happened upon one another accidentally, is 95% of the reason I shop with you all. He is experienced and understands EXACTLY what I am looking for…sometimes before I know what I am looking for. He has been a pleasure to get to know and work with. I couldn’t ask for a better, more professional, business partner.
