Dave Brow
Dave Brow
Hi, I am Dave Brow, Senior Sales Engineer. I have been with Sweetwater since 2000. I am from Los Angeles originally. I worked as an audio engineer in Hollywood at two major VO studios for 12 years. I also owned my own duplication and location recording business called SoundZone. I play bass as my primary instrument, but I also play guitar, piano/keys, melodica, ukulele, and a little mandolin. One of my specialties is microphones. I have a large personal collection in my home studio and have used many classic models throughout my 30+ years of recording. I enjoy helping my customers find the right solution to their audio needs.
As your personal contact here at Sweetwater, please let me know anytime I can offer help or advice.

Describe the most dramatic situation in which you provided the Sweetwater Difference for a customer, or the most unusual/creative solution to a customer's problem:
I had a customer in Michigan with a PA speaker that blew the night before a big gig. He wasn’t going to be able to make the round trip in time to get to the gig, so I got a replacement and met him more than halfway to swap them. By the way, he became one of my best friends, and we are in a band together now.
-
What's the biggest gig you've ever played?
I have been fortunate to play at many famous venues like the Whisky, The Roxy, the Troubadour, and the El Rey Theatre with Wonderboy and Troy. I think the largest venue, though, was the Malibu Chili Cook-Off with Key Factor in 1991.

If I could give Sweetwater and Dave Brow higher than a 10 rating, I would. I have always recommended Sweetwater to my voiceover students and colleagues for a number of reasons. You can always find a cheaper price online, but with so much counterfeit product out there, with Sweetwater you are guaranteed to get the real deal, and Sweetwater's product selection lifetime tech support is beyond compare. I am a Sweetwater customer for life!

My experiences dealing with Dave Brow, this time and in all of my previous transactions, have been outstanding on every level. On this occasion, I asked Dave to make an in-hand comparison of two guitars of the same model I was interested in. He gave one an especially strong endorsement, so I followed his recommendation, and he was right. He picked out an awesome guitar. Dave also gave me a great, great price. This was the third new guitar I purchased from Sweetwater over the last five or six years. Each one of them was an excellent instrument. I am not often in the market for new equipment. I occasionally purchase used when something speaks to me (as an aside, I wish Sweetwater would consider taking high quality used guitars as trade-ins towards new, upgraded equipment). But if I am ever in the market for new stuff, Sweetwater and Dave Brow will be my first call.

Dave is the best. This was such a great experience especially for someone like me who did not have a lot of knowledge but Dave made sure I had everything I needed. The delivery was also a plus.

Dave Brow is very warm, friendly and most helpful. Dave is an excellent listener. He asked specific questions to help determine what I needed and what would really help me with my Voiceover work. I would definitely work with Dave again for my future needs. Dave Brow is a keeper.
