Chris Smith
Chris Smith
My full name is Christopher Jonathan Smith. Chris John Smith. I swear it’s real. Anyway, I always thought I’d perform for a living, and I chased every opportunity to make that a reality while growing up until I was forced into running sound for a friend’s band. As soon as I experienced the production/engineering side of music, I dropped all aspirations of performing and totally shifted into pursuing a career in audio. I got my degree in music business and then immediately went to school for audio engineering. Since then, I have worked in many music studios and have run sound for hundreds of live events ranging from babysitting mics for a 12-hour conference on rheumatoid arthritis to running FOH for a weeklong festival and everything in between. I’m passionate about audio, and my favorite thing is to nerd out about it with people who share that passion. Whether it’s questions about gear that you already own or just talking about the next dream addition to your setup, I am always down to chat about music.
As your personal contact here at Sweetwater, please let me know anytime I can offer help or advice.
