Chris Dourson
Chris Dourson
Hello! I’m Chris Dourson, a live sound engineer and worship pastor. My musical journey began long ago with piano lessons. I then transitioned to playing the B-flat cornet in concert band and eventually found my true passion in playing acoustic guitar, managing live sound, and leading worship in churches throughout the Midwest.
For the past ten years, I have worked with churches across the Midwest, leading worship, upgrading Audio Video Lighting (AVL) systems, improving live streaming and broadcast solutions, and planning and implementing new church plants.
Outside the church, my wife and I perform as a singer/songwriter duo and in a musical group called the Chelsea Dourson Band. We’ve had the opportunity to play at festivals, street fairs, retreats, weddings, pubs, churches, and restaurants across Ohio, Kentucky, Michigan, and Indiana. Our experiences on stage have helped me understand what resonates with different audiences.
Along my musical journey, I have had some neat experiences that have contributed to where I am now. I held a graduate assistantship at the Kentucky Center for Traditional Music (KCTM), recorded a song in Nashville, and have been in conversation with a few Grammy-winning musicians to discuss their studio projects and upgrades.
If you’re looking for someone who genuinely cares about creating exceptional musical or Audio Video Lighting solutions, let’s connect!
As your personal contact here at Sweetwater, please let me know anytime I can offer help or advice.
